Savannah Chrisley Announces She’s Pregnant & Engaged to Jason Galanis– A Man Who Was in Prison with Her Dad Todd

“Meet my felon….er…fiancé!”

Double congratulations are in order for Savannah Chrisley.

On Tuesday, the ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ star announced in an Instagram post that not only is she engaged– despite never revealing her beau’s identity– she is also expecting her first baby. The mystery man, only referenced as “J” in her post, is seen kissing and holding Savannah’s growing baby bump in the video. (After the announcement, Us Weekly revealed that “J” is actually Jason Galanis— more on him later.)

“I’ve prayed for this life,” Savannah captioned the post. “I’ve cried for this life. And there were moments I truly wondered if this life would ever be mine.”

“The past few years have taken me through fires I never imagined I’d have to walk through. Seasons of heartbreak, loss, and moments when I didn’t know if I would ever make it to the other side. I wondered if I would ever find my forever… if I would ever feel safe enough to truly breathe again. And then God sent me J.”

Savannah described “J” as her protector, most loyal person, lover, safe place and a “man with the patience of Job.” She said that she has “found her forever” in Jason, ending with the engagement ring emoji.

“And just when I thought my heart couldn’t hold any more love, God gave us our sweetest blessing yet,” she continued. “We’re having a BABY!”

I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when he found out…

“J, watching the way you already love and protect our baby before he/she has even entered this world has made me fall in love with you in an entirely new way,” Savannah wrote. “Not a single doctor’s appointment missed. Constantly caring for me, talking about our baby, and reminding me how beautiful my growing bump is. I thank God every day that this baby gets to call you Daddy.”

“…Only God could have written this story,” she concluded. “Here’s to forever, J… and the sweetest little blessing we can’t wait to meet.”

In May, Savannah revealed on her podcast, Unlocked, that she was dating someone, mentioning that she’s “extremely happy and extremely fulfilled in life.” She said she and her mystery man had been dating for over a year after meeting in “the political world of D.C.,” which Savannah became involved in following her parents’ presidential pardons by President Donald Trump in May 2025. (Despite their pardon, the Chrisleys are back in hot water for an enormous tax lien. Get the details on that here.)

“Grandpappy ain’t goin’ back to prison, y’all!”

In June, 28-year-old Savannah revealed on the Whine Down podcast that her anonymous lover is (much) older than her, much to the dismay of her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley.

“There was a little bit of an age gap, so my dad was not too fond [of] that, but now loves him,” she said. “You see, age-gap relationships are the new thing. … There’s all these couples that [have] a huge age-gap relationship, but it just works. Like, it’s insane. I love it because you’re not dealing with the insecurity of a younger guy who’s trying to keep up.”

She reassured listeners that her now-fiancé is younger than Todd, who’s 57, and shared that this is “the healthiest relationship” she’s had in her life.

Just hours after the engagement-pregnancy announcement, Us Weekly identified “J” as Jason Galanis, a 56-year-old who was previously sentenced to over 15 years in federal prison.

“ONE YEAR, Savannah?! He’s ONE year younger than me!? Tell me I at least have more hair than he does!”

According to Reuters, Jason was already serving an 11-year sentence for conspiracy to commit fraud when a U.S. District Judge added an extra five years because Jason defrauded Native Americans with a 2017 bond-issuing scam.

Savannah’s man even served time with Todd at FPC Pensacola before President Trump commuted Jason’s prison sentence in March 2025. Two months later, President Trump commuted Todd and Julie’s sentenced and they were released from prison.

Savannah has stated that Jason contacted her via text one day after the Chrisleys were sprung from the clink.

Although Jason is not active on social media, he and the Chrisleys were seen together at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago golf course in April.

On Tuesday Savannah posted a photo of the engagement ring that she received from Jason.

That same day, Savannah released a podcast episode detailing how she and Jason found out she pregnant. She shared that she wasn’t sure if she would ever be able to conceive because of her struggles with endometriosis and adenomyosis but was happily surprised to find out she was expecting.

“We went on this cruise, and we started in Istanbul. We were going along the coast of Turkey into Greece. And I felt horrible. […] That [pregnancy] test came back, within like 10 seconds, two bright pink lines,” she recalled. “And I was like, ‘Stop it. No, there was no way.’ And that’s how we found out that we are officially pregnant. So it was a major plot twist. I mean, we both were so shocked, so thrilled.”

She shared that she and Jason had just begun the egg retrieval process to start in vitro fertilization (IVF), but had no idea that she was already pregnant when they started the process.

On Tuesday, Savannah posted a sonogram photo of her baby, along with a message that seemed to be addressing some of the hate she and Jason have been getting since announcing the pregnancy.

“You are not a headline. You are not a controversy. You are not defined by anyone’s past, anyone’s mistakes or anyone else’s opinions,” she wrote. “You are innocent, deeply loved and the greatest blessing God could have ever entrusted your daddy and I with. No amount of noise in this world will ever overshadow the joy of being your mama. You are my answered prayer. And I will never apologize for celebrating you.”

Well, that’s gross.

Oh brothe.

Gemma

How positively romantic. I guess she is comfortable with convicts that commit fraud and get pardoned by the biggest fraud of all. I’m sure they will have many happy years together. I wonder whose funds he stole from this time to buy that ring?🤨
