Catelynn Lowell’s younger brother Nick Radtke is coming to the defense of their mom, April Brockmiller, amid Cate and April latest feud.
As The Ashley previously told you, Cate revealed through a series of Instagram Stories and posts last week that she and her mom are (once again) on the outs.
Although the ‘Teen Mom’ star hasn’t revealed what set off this latest familial squabble, her brother provided some (alleged) insight on the matter this week, while also coming to their mom’s defense.
“Catelynn, for example, she has been treating my mom with, like, love and respect, privately; [but] publicly, for the past, like, two months [or] three months, it’s been the opposite,” Nick told ‘Spilled with Brenden’ on TikTok. “She’s been degrading my mother, bashing my mother, posting sh*t, throwing shade at my mom.”
Nick went on to claim that anytime April has confronted Cate about these “degrading” posts, Cate “backtracks” and claims that her posts are aimed at other people in their family (such as her brother, sister or grandma), but April isn’t buying it.
“ … My mom’s like, ‘No, this is about me … you’re throwing shade towards me,’” Nick said.
Nick also claimed that, while Cate has been airing her grievances with April on social media, it wasn’t that long ago that she was including their mom in family trips and dinners. He also called out Cate’s husband (and his former step-brother), Tyler Baltierra, for joining in on the April-bashing, as well.
“ … it’s so weird because they just went camping like, a month or two ago, and they went to Disney together, and they do family barbecues,” Nick said. “They do all these things with my mom and then just talk sh*t about her, like, Tyler too.
“Tyler wrote this big paragraph talking sh*t about my mom, but he’ll go on and tell my mom that he loves her,” he added.
Over the weekend, it was Cate who penned a “big paragraph talking sh*t” about April, this time on Facebook, where she referred to her mom as “[her] monster.”
“Most kids are afraid of the monster under their beds…but not me,” Cate wrote. “You see my monster lays slain, passed out at the kitchen with a burning cigarette in her hand.
“ … I hate this place,” she continued. “This place that is supposed to feel safe but never feels safe. This place that I’m forced to stay contemplating every which way to earn the love I rightfully deserve, to love the beast & keep the monster at bay.”
Cate went on to claim that “[her] monster is being [her] mother’s daughter,” while noting many of the ways her mom mistreated her growing up.
Along with her post, Cate included a screenshot from ‘Teen Mom’ that show April yelling profanities at her while her younger brother looked on.
At this time, neither Cate nor April have divulged the reason behind their latest feud.
