Todd & Julie Chrisley Have Been Pardoned by President Donald Trump; Reality TV Stars to Be Released from Prison

“Fire up the tanning bed and get my hair frosting cap ready, Daddy’s comin’ home!”

Todd and Julie Chrisley are heading home.

On Tuesday, it was announced that the Chrisley Knows Best stars have been fully pardoned by President Donald Trump. The reality TV stars were convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud crimes in June 2022, with Todd being sentenced to 12 years in federal prison and Julie getting a seven-year sentence.

President Trump called Todd and Julie’s kids, Savannah and Grayson, to let them know that the Chrisleys will be getting out of prison. (The call was posted on X on Tuesday.)

“Your parents are going to be free and clean, and I hope we can do it by tomorrow. Is that okay? We’ll try getting it done tomorrow,” President Trump told the Chrisleys.

Grayson— who is now 19 but had been previously under the guardianship of Savannah while his parents were incarcerated– became emotional, thanking the president for “bringing my parents back.”

President Trump noted that the Chrisleys were given a “pretty harsh treatment” for their crimes.

“Congratulate your parents,” the president told Savannah. “I hear they’re terrific people. This should not have happened.

Since her parents went to prison, Savannah has been campaigning constantly for their release.

“I know that I am going through the proper channels to do so,” she told People in February of getting her parents pardoned. “And I’m going to bring as much awareness to it as possible because these things should not happen.” (Savannah has maintained that her parents are innocent of the crimes they were convicted of.)

According to TMZ, a spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons stated that the Chrisleys may not be released for a few days, due to the pardon process taking some time.

“The Chrisleys might even wind up at a halfway house before they’re totally free,” the site reports.

“As long as the place has tooth-whitening strips and a nice selection of bedazzled jackets for me to wear, I’m fine with that!”

In a video posted to Instagram, Savannah stated that her parents will be home within the next two days.

“I have shed so many tears,” she said. “The President called me personally as I was walking into Sam’s Club and notified me that he was signing pardon paperwork for both of my parents. So, both my parents are coming home tonight or tomorrow. I still don’t believe it’s real. I’m freaking out.”

Alex Little— an attorney for Todd and Julie— told the site in a statement that, “President Trump recognized what we’ve argued from the beginning: Todd and Julie were targeted because of their conservative values and high profile. Their prosecution was tainted by multiple constitutional violations and political bias.”

Savannah also provided a statement to TMZ on Tuesday.

“For the past two and a half years, I’ve done everything in my power to fight for my parents’ freedom and bring them home,” she said. “This moment is the answer to countless prayers, and I am beyond grateful to President Trump for seeing the truth and restoring my family. I also want to thank Alice Marie Johnson for her unwavering support and our attorney, Alex Little, for being an essential part of this process.

Savannah vowed to continue to use her voice and platform “to advocate for those who do not have one.”

Last week, details about the new reality show the Chrisleys are doing were announced. The show– currently called The Untitled Chrisley Project— will air on Lifetime, with Savannah and her brother Chase Chrisley serving as executive producers.

“ … the Chrisleys don’t know best anymore, but they’re doing their best to be there for each other,” the logline for the upcoming series reads. “The family faces the challenge of carrying on the Chrisley name and legacy on their own with only phone calls and brief visits with their incarcerated parents.”

The show is slated to premiere later this year. It is unknown at this time if Todd and Julie will be taking on a more active role in the show, now that they’re getting out of the clink.

“We need to give the people what they want: ME!”

As of press time, Todd is still listed as an inmate at the Pensacola Federal Prison Camp, while Julie is listed as being incarcerated at Federal Medical Center prison in Lexington, Kentucky.

LOOOOVE how my comments got deleted for calling Karol exactly what she is

Mimi

Sounds about right! If you kiss enough ass and make a significant “donation” you can go free! guaranteed they’ll be gifting him something, if they haven’t already.

Tracy

Lick the boot, get a pardon. Simple. The corrupt former sheriff of the small town where I live was convicted of fraud and due to report to federal prison when he somehow got a last minute pardon. Everyone in town knew he was crooked and was glad to see him finally caught. Now he’s free. Makes no sense at all.

TEM

Well I’m sure Todd is going to be secretly devastated leaving his prison husband 😏

TEM

“All I could think about were the guys I was leaving behind” Todd on leaving prison

I CALLED IT 😂

Shady

Humm, a convicted felon reality television personality pardons convicted felon reality television personalities…only in America.

TJ

It’s great to know that this is what he’s spending his time doing instead of helping people devastated by tornadoes. Denying citizens help for a natural disaster while he pardons rich criminals. Disgusting.

Befs

Love him or hate him, I don’t care but in Kentucky, where I am from, he committed to a major bill (or whatever you call it) with our democratic governor to send in tons of tornado relief and monies. I don’t know about Missouri and other places but good for Kentucky. We have had a lot of disasters lately. It seems he is pardoning the Chrisley’s and helping the Commonwealth.

Karol

I’m from Kentucky too

We all know

Why am I surprised by this. One thug letting 2 other thugs out of jail.

Megan

But yet he wants to make sure all of our student loans are paid back.

Elisabeth

Who is next, Josh Duggar?

kitty

I want to say that that’s a bridge too far but who knows anymore.

Karol

I doubt it Elisabeth, Josh Duggar’s crimes were much more severe than the Crisley’s…while what they did was wrong they didn’t PHYSICALLY hurt people…Josh DID

Lyin’ Hustlah

Apparently all it takes is access to kiss ass and wish granted! So seems possible.

Karol

Maybe in a delusional mind like yours it’s possible but in the minds of people with common sense it’s NOT possible

Teddie

It’s laughable (and deeply pathetic) that you use the word “delusional.” Speaking as someone with a great deal of experience in and knowledge about mental illness Lyin’ Hustlah is not the one who’s delusional. Does the name Andrew Tate ring a bell? You know, the accused sex trafficker who is magically back in the US and free?

Karol

He (Trump) has literally said that he would NOT pardon pedophiles or murderers.

TR

Exactly, did he overnight all his merchandise to them. Seem to be wearing it proudly, they all make me sick.

Streets Full of Uppercut

Targeted for what conservative values? These grifters stole 36 million dollars. But, this pardon doesn’t surprise me one bit. Birds of a feather…

Dramastic

Not to mention they were charged while Trump was president the first time

Nic

You know shit like this is why the whole world now considers america to be nothing more than a joke.

LesterGillis

@TheAshley, seriously read the fucking comments and actually moderate your site for once. This nutcase has turned the comment section into a sewer. Cussing people out and calling women whores. Get this nasty troll out of here!

LesterGillis

Dude, where the hell is @TheAshley to remove this crap?!

garysbeldenlinemanteeshirt

@lester ~ IKR?
‘karol’ is the herpes of theashley ~ she just WON’T. GO. AWAY.
she’s also crude, hostile and insults those who don’t agree w/her weird, antiquated views.

Karol

Could set a precedent of “Hey I’m getting a second chance to do right”

You know, it’s not a once a criminal always a criminal…people can change their ways

Streets Full of Uppercut

You just know he supports embezzlement, bribery, assault, insurrection, and whatever benefits him personally. Cool.

Karol

I know he’s not a liberal…so that means he matters more than those that are

Streets Full of Uppercut

Your position is that people who have liberal political beliefs do not matter? Well, at least you admit it.

Dramastic

Bein’ a felon ain’t illegal

Derinda Wallace

I am so glad, they didn’t deserve what the judge gave them just because he wanted to make an example out of them . Punishing them was for sure needed but that many years…Just ridiculous

Karol

AGREED

Gemma

They stole 36 MILLION dollars. How much time should they have gotten?

Karol

Well, considering that the financial advisor (or whatever the fuck his title was) only got 3 measly years…and he was the mastermind behind the whole damn they should have gotten less than he did.

I mean, do you honestly think that these two would have devised that plan all by themselves…I DOUBT IT!!!

Gemma

I have to agree with you there. The financial advisor should have gotten way longer.

Kels

@karol Did you actually do any research whatsoever regarding their case and arrest, or are you just choosing to be ignorant? There are tons and tons of emails from Todd to that accountant, coaching him on how he wanted those fake bank statements crafted. When they realized how much they were getting away with, The reward was so great that they continued to take the risk despite knowing they were committing fraud. It actually boggles my mind that people will go to bat for these fake Christian scumbags 😬

Karol

It boggles my mind that people like you (whom I’m they didn’t even steal from) isn’t willing to to “forgive” which is what God teaches us.

Did you know that in California (a place where they stole the most money) is more compassionate than your sorry butt.

I firmly believe that this 💯 has to do with the fact that they’re famous.

Streets Full of Uppercut

They deserve forgiveness when they won’t even admit they were wrong? They’re still acting like they are innocent and being persecuted. And, to be clear, there is no evidence that they were wrongly targeted aside from their ramblings.

Karol

Oh bs…there is plenty of evidence they were for their celebrity.

Karol

A person they actually stole from in Florida made a statement on X mere months after the arrest that read “I completely forgive the Chrisley’s for what they did. Forgiving DOESNT mean forgetting, forgetting is something I’m not sure I will ever be able to do.

But The Lord’s Prayer says “forgive us our trespasses and forgive those that trespass against us”, God can forgive us for doing wrong so what kind of person would I be if I couldn’t find it in my heart to forgive”

Kels

@karol You getting incredibly defensive when faced with facts and evidence of a case you clearly haven’t read up on really is kind of embarrassing. It’s not difficult to do research, but it seems like you fell for the whole “being persecuted because we are rich Christians” front they had going on. These are also people who you don’t know (just in case you forgot) and couldn’t careless about you or me … Only themselves. You don’t even know the basic facts of the case but for some reason have a LOT to say on it, then choose to ignore the facts anyway … That tells me you’re someone who can’t be reasoned with. I think it’s past your bedtime. Don’t forget your prune juice.

Dickie McButts

I look at the news daily and see a lot of the punishments handed down to sexual predators. They are slapped on the wrist with probation and let out to reoffend. That’s the big issue I worry about. Not some people who stole money or whatever.

Streets Full of Uppercut

We can and should punish both.

jen

Yep! If ever there was a sign that these two were guilty as hell, it’s that Trump pardoned them.

Farrah's Lips

And this is really stupid at trump, because this sets a precedent for criminals to continue to roam free, because everybody’s gonna say the jury’s wrong now. And look for pardons, because the jury is wrong. They were judged by a jury of their peers, and we’re convicted and should be sentenced and do their time

garysbeldenlinemanteeshirt

@karol ~ definitely user error. 😝
also, why are you cursing? are you really that upset?
