Kenleigh Heatwole came face-to-face with her ex-boyfriend David Eason in court today, and it did not go as she had planned.
Kenleigh— who dumped the fired Teen Mom 2 dad in September and kicked him out of her home— appeared in a North Carolina courtroom on Monday to find out if the restraining order she requested against David last month would be granted. As The Ashley previously reported, Kenleigh sought a protective order against the broken-boat-dwelling deadbeat because he had allegedly been verbally abusive to her and harassing her after their breakup.
In her filing, Kenleigh wrote that David called her a “dumb whore” and was frequently cussing her out. She also noted that David was doing burnouts on his motorbike on her street as part of a tantrum he was throwing after she kicked him out of her home.

The exes met in court last month regarding the restraining order, with both parties eventually agreeing that David would leave Kenleigh alone and fetch all of his belongings that are in a shed on her property. The judge extended the ex parte order by two weeks to allow this to happen. (This is why David had to have a police escort to go onto Kenleigh’s property.)
According to The Ashley’s court reporter, Kenleigh stated her case on Monday before the judge, explaining that she feared for her safety, given that David had been coming to her home and “verbally abusing me and acting manic.” She stated that she lives alone, and, due to David’s alarming history of violent behavior, she wanted the restraining order granted to make her feel safe.
Kenleigh requested that the judge extend her restraining order for one year.

(As ‘Teen Mom’ fans are aware, David currently has several restraining orders against him. His ex-wife Jenelle Evans has an order that is good until next year, as does her eldest son Jace. In addition, David currently has very serious criminal child abuse charges pending against him stemming from a September 2023 incident in which Jace claimed David strangled him.)
Despite all this, the judge sided with David, who has been fighting the restraining order request.
“After Kenleigh presented her case, the judge ruled that there was not enough evidence to show that David had been harassing Kenleigh, or causing her emotional distress so he dismissed the restraining order request,” The Ashley’s reporter stated. “David looked pleased but Kenleigh was livid.”
Kenleigh spoke to The Ashley’s reporter after the hearing, revealing that David failed to remove his property and shed off of her land as he agreed to do last month. Although the former swampy soulmate of Jenelle did, indeed, come to Kenleigh’s home as ordered, he “wasted everyone’s time, including the officer who had to escort him” and only removed a few items.

“David wasted the cop’s resources for three hours. In that time, he only grabbed a cowboy hat, a few tools and one of his bikes,” Kenleigh said, adding that the bike that was left is one that Jenelle is currently fighting in court to have him take over the payments on as he was instructed to by their divorce court judge.
“After being at my house for three hours, he left, with most of his stuff still in the shed,” Kenleigh told The Ashley’s reporter.

According to Kenleigh, the deputy who escorted David onto the property was angry about having his time wasted, and stated that he would not escort David again to get more stuff.
After court on Monday, Kenleigh aired her frustration with North Carolina’s court system on X.
“Honestly the court system and the law around here will make someone want to relocate,” she wrote. “F**k this area for that.”
Honestly the court system and the law around here will make someone want to relocate. Fuck this area for that.

Jenelle would likely agree with Kenleigh’s sentiments about the court system in North Carolina. As The Ashley previously told you, the fired ‘Teen Mom’ star filed a motion to have David held in contempt of court, stating that he has failed to pay on the loans and debts he acquired from their divorce settlement agreement in July. Jenelle claimed in her motion that David has not taken possession of the loans for the items he was “awarded” in the divorce, and has not shelled out any money toward those loans.
Because David hasn’t taken possession of the loans, Jenelle’s name remains on them and, because he has not allegedly paid anything toward them, the debts are “now negatively impacting” Jenelle’s credit score.

Jenelle and David are scheduled to meet up in court in December to discuss the issues, as well as custody of their daughter Ensley.

I thought she agreed to drop it with his attorney if he came after the last court and got all of his stuff out of her shed and didn’t cause a scene?
And this is exactly why women need to think twice before believing a man’s sob story about he was actually the victim. Kenleigh chose to learn via the FAFO method.
We all have to learn for ourselves. Nobody goes into a relationship thinking “I’ll base how I feel off their ex” and I do get that. This one was a little wild considering a quick google search rats out David for his ugly past. But she’ll be a better woman for it. It was just part of her journey.
I mean, I’m kinda surprised restraining orders even exist now considering we have a rapist as a president…give it time I guess, they’re too busy ending Head start programs
No one deserves blame for being an abuse victim. You can, however, be a victim of abuse while simultaneously turning a blind, possibly deliberate eye to others’ abuse (the kids, nugget, previous partners, etc). She knew and she either was in denial or wanted to believe he would be different for her (while excusing his previous abuse) and ended up becoming his latest victim. I do fear for her because David is 100% capable of anything and I think the judge made a terrible decision.
do not feel sorry for any of them. I hope they all get what they deserve. Trash!
Girl…I get it. You wanted to play boaterhome captain save a ho & ignored all of the red flags & warnings & *gestures wildly at his documented behavior on TV & prior restraining orders* & all that. You thought he was different. That all of that was blown out of proportion & he wasn’t really like that. He seemed so great at first but then that ugly came out just like it had with everyone else. Live & learn & be glad you didn’t procreate with him.
You deserve to feel safe in your home & in life. That judge should have extended the RO based on his past. I wish you well & just hope for the next girl’s sake she’ll see all of this & run away as fast as she can.
😂😂 Amazing Comment!!
Nah, her sad ass just wanted that D level clout 🤧
Must love that little D in more ways than one.
Why would David collect all his shed shit from Kenliegh’s?! It’s not like he has money to put it in storage himself. I doubt it will fit on the boaterhome. No, she’s stuck dealing with it. She needs to start looking into the legalities of throwing it away in a way that goober can’t come after her. Hope you learned your lesson, Kenliegh!
Jenelle got screwed over in the divorce proceedings and now Kenleigh got screwed over. Proving once again how our court system sucks as they always side with the bad guys. I’m worry about the custody case coming up; Ensley will definitely not be safe with David and do hope Jenelle gets sole custody.
Neither got screwed over. He had multiple arrests for abuse against women on him. They knew what he was like & still got with him. Jenelle could have insisted on a prenup. Plus she only left because he was cheating on her, not because he abused her son.
I wonder if Jenelles ex soulmate/manager is making payments on the car she Co signed for him. I’m assuming so since we haven’t heard about him in a hot minute lol. TeenMom land is weird as heck.
You would think the fact that he already has multiple current restraining orders on him they’d approve hers as well, if nothing more than out of caution.
Yes, she is likely very legitimately scared for her safety. Multiple ROs already against him and an upcoming court case for severely assaulting a minor. There’s certainly a precedent set. Hopefully he’ll be found guilty in the strangulation case and will be caged for awhile like the wild animals he is (no offense so wild animals).
He’s angry and has an arsenal of powerful weapons. Hopefully he’ll lose those too with a felony conviction.
i still think she’s a a$$h0le who chose to ignore the obvious warning signs but i do feel bad for her, no woman should feel unsafe in her own home like this and shame on the judge!
Ok yes she brought this on herself, but that ruling is terrible.
“David’s alarming history of violent behavior”? B*tch everybody warned you about it from day one and you chose him nonetheless because “you don’t know the whole story”.
I’m sorry but I don’t feel sorry for you
So what happens to the rest of David’s stuff in Kenleighs shed if he does not remove it within the alloted time frame? Especially if David already came, under police escort, for 3 hours and only removed a few items?
right! because at that point i would’ve sold all his stuff or left it on the curb!
No you wouldn’t have, tough one lol. You’d be liable for the cost of all his garbage
Depends on local laws, usually a set period of time after notice to remove is given…
I’m not surprised, but bad ruling.
It’s hard to feel sorry for these girls…after seeing what transpired between DeluJanelle and Sasquatch MANY times, they’re literally asking for trouble by getting involved with him.
Of course the judge denied it. Our court system protects violent assholes and not the victims that are trying not to be a statistic.
She signed up to be a statistic!! Trying not to be one would’ve been to not hook up with him in the first place!!
Someone in that system is on his side, he has never been held accountable for any criminal charges placed against him.
