On Sunday’s episode of Sister Wives, fans watched as Kody Brown parted ways with his beloved mustache in exchange for more physical affection from his only remaining wife Robyn.
During the episode, Kody– who has seemingly sported more hair on his face than on his head in recent years– was informed by Robyn that his facial scruff makes it “painful” for her to kiss him, even comparing the experience to kissing a vegetable scrubber.
(Yes, guys, we are now spending our nights watching footage about facial hair. Sigh.)
“I get poked all the time,” Robyn told viewers. “It’s so uncomfortable.”
In response to Robyn’s complaint, Kody offered to say goodbye to (the majority of) his facial hair, but only if doing so would guarantee more kisses from his (allegedly) shy wife.
After Robyn agreed to Kody’s terms, the former husband of four immediately headed to the nearest Mountain Mansion bathroom to begin making over his mug.
“We’re shaving it right now,” Kody said, before double checking with Robyn that this impromptu shearing would lead to more making out. “Promise me we’re going to make out like teenagers and I promise you that [it] won’t bother me a bit.”
As Kody began buzzing off the sides of his beard, Robyn complimented his now-visible jawline, which she claimed she hadn’t seen “in a while.” She also expressed how much younger her bare-faced begloved beloved looked, despite Kody claiming his more cleaned-up face made him look older, yet distinguished.
“I’m gonna get kissed now, man,” Kody went on to tell viewers. “Kisses for Kody and pretty good jawline, man. These workouts are paying off.”
Prior to Kody hacking his facial hair, Robyn explained to viewers that before she and Kody were monogamous, she was always “really careful” when it came to PDA with Kody in order to respect his other wives. Now that Christine, Janelle and Meri are out of the pitcher picture, however, Robyn said her and Kody’s dynamic has changed– seemingly for the better.
“Kody and I wouldn’t be affectionate publicly, but now that it’s just the two of us, we flirt a lot,” she claimed.
As for Kody’s exes, both Christine and Meri told viewers that they find facial hair on men attractive, while Janelle said it all depends on the man who’s rocking it.
“I don’t really have a strong opinion on facial hair,” she said. “Like, I know I don’t want too much. I’m not really into the full beard or whatever, but I think it just depends on the individual.”
After taking in his new look on Sunday’s episode, Kody teased the idea of ditching ALL of his facial hair, as well as (what’s left of) his dreadful hairdo.
“I almost want to go clean, completely clean-cut,” Kody tells viewers. “Wouldn’t it be fun to see me without a beard and without this long hair?”

Another disgusting episode. I’m almost at the point of not watching this train wreck, despite wanting to see it crash. Between these two’s yuck PDA and juvenile behavior and the completely boring and annoying new cast member-Jen the Fr’en’ , it’s a nope for me. The Ashley can summarize it for me, that’s good enough.
