‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Fans Call Demi Engemann a “Walking Contradiction” After She Capitalizes Off ‘Fruity Pebbles’ Reveal After Calling It a “Private Act”

Does anyone else miss the days when all we thought about when we heard ‘Fruity Pebbles’ was Fred Flintstone? Just me? OK…

Fans are calling out Demi Engemann for her new posts capitalizing on her… experience with Fruity Pebbles, days after telling fans the situation was a “private experience.”

On Wednesday night, Demi posted a video on her Instagram of her and her husband Bret reading a magazine that says, “What Fruity Pebbles Really Means.” Demi asks, “Have you seen the news?” Bret– who is drinking something that is a specific shade of yellow— says, “Yep,” before Demi shrugs her shoulders and eats a spoonful of Fruity Pebbles. The video is captioned, “Petitioning to change the title to the Secret Lives of Kinky Wives […] stay tuned.”

While Demi made the post as a way to acknowledge the “Fruity Pebbles” reveal scandal that has taken MomTok by storm this week, fans did not find it as funny as Demi seemed to, with many calling out the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star for being a hypocrite and capitalizing on the scandal after asking for privacy.

As fans know, this “Fruity Pebbles” controversy has been around since Season 1 of the show, but has only escalated recently. In Season 1, the wives all got together to discuss a “crazy sex story” Demi had previously shared.  Without going into detail, the women pass the story around each other before… demonstrating the act on each other. Whitney Leavitt described in a confessional that “fruity cereal has to do with [the] taste.”

The show and the women moved past the Cereal Talk Tok , but the topic was brought back up last week after Demi commented on one of Jessi Ngatikaura’s TikToks, saying, “Jessi’s somewhere punching air right now that Lisa is talking about me and not her,” referring to Lisa Vanderpump (who had been talking about Demi after she accused one of her employees, Marciano Brunette, of engaging in “unwanted touch” earlier this week.

“You peasants need to keep my name out of this urine-soaked mess!”

Jessi also admitted to having an emotional affair with Marciano earlier this month, to which Lisa did not respond. (The Ashley previously reported that Demi claims she was sexually assaulted at the Vanderpump Villa and Jessi had betrayed her trust by talking about it with “Vanderpump Rules” star Scheana Shay).

In response to this shady comment, Jessi spilled the beans (or, rather, the, um, Pebbles) on what “Fruity Pebbles” actually means.

In an Instagram story, Jessi said, “Since she wants to be petty and be an a**hole, I think I’m just going to go ahead and say that Grandpa Bret likes to drink her [urine] like it’s dirty soda, and he gulps it down like water. And that’s what ‘Fruity Pebbles’ is.”

The Ashley will give you a second to do…whatever you need to do to process that….

In response to this revelation, Demi posted an Instagram story on Tuesday to address Jessi’s comments.

“What my husband and I did one time behind closed doors was a consensual and private experience in our marriage,” Demi said. “I won’t let a private act between my husband and I be a distraction from a serious act that I did not consent to,” referencing the previous allegations against Marciano.

“I shared this information with Jessi in confidence nearly two years ago. It’s very telling that she’s choosing to break storyline and bring it up now, only after her own affair has come to light. This is nothing more than a desperate attempt to shift attention away from her own behavior,” she added.

Fans are now confused by Demi’s recent Instagram post joking about the scandal, with some seeing it as a backtrack from her previous requests for privacy.

“Girl you’re a walking contradiction, like what?” someone commented.

“This didn’t land with anyone,” one person wrote the comment section.

“Yesterday it was a ‘private experience’ and a ‘private act’ and now today this? You’re draining,” another person wrote.

‘Secret Lives” star Chase McWhorter also weighed in on the “tinkle tea” being spilled.

“Owning up to p***ing in Bret’s mouth but not that you flirted a bit [too] much with the guy you accused of SA is certainly a choice! Enjoy the lawsuit,” he wrote.

All of us right now…

Jessi also had a lot to say about the situation.

“The fact that she printed out my face is… actually romantic,” Jessi commented on the post.

In later Stories posted to Instagram, Jessi acknowledged she was “petty” for exposing the truth behind “Fruity Pebbles.” However, it appears she has no regrets.

“Ok, now that I’ve spilled the pee, I’m hopping off socials again,” Jessi wrote. “It really was such a great mental break & I miss it lol. I was petty as hell today, but I’m done backing down to someone who has made my life hell the last year. Thanks for following along today.”

[Narrator: “But she wasn’t actually ‘hopping off socials’ at all…”]

Soon after, Jessi posted another Story calling out Demi again.

“Also, Demi’s upset that I’m outing her bedroom activities when she took my affair to production to leverage more money? Seems fair,” she wrote.

Demi responded on Thursday by posting yet another TikTok poking fun at the “Fruity Pebbles” situation.

  1. I don’t want to be mean. But Demi really seems to always be trying so hard to be a victim. The way she treated chase at the Halloween party and the way she treats the other momtok girls, she really has villain energy but tries so hard to manipulate people into seeing her as the victim. It’s tough to root for her most of the time.
