Before welcoming their fifth child later this year, Zach Nichols and Jenna Compono of The Challenge have worked out an agreement regarding the future of their family, with both confirming recently that Jenna would like to have even more children in the future.
As The Ashley told you last week, Jenna and Zach announced that they are expecting their fifth child, just six months after the arrival of their fourth child, daughter Francesca “Frankie” Rose.
The couple– who met on ‘The Challenge’ and tied the knot in March 2021– first became parents in September 2021 to son Anthony Joseph. They went on to welcome daughter Liliana Marie in December 2022, followed by daughter Carmella Jean in February 2024, and Frankie last summer. Meanwhile, Baby Nichols #5 is due to arrive in August.
On the latest episode of The Zach Nichols Podcast, Zach spoke to Jenna about their ever-growing family, telling listeners that, “Jenna wants to have more kids than this.”
While Jenna didn’t deny her husband’s claim, she explained to listeners that every time family members have asked her how many children she and Zach plan to have, she has “upped it” following the birth of each kid. Jenna said that while she once said that she and Zach would like to have six children, she now tells people, “six to eight.”
“We can’t afford it,” Zach replied, to which Jenna told her husband she has to “feel done” before they officially stop producing future ‘Challenge’ contestants having kids.
Jenna seemed to express this same sentiment after announcing her latest pregnancy, revealing in an interview with People that, “maybe we will aim for 10 [kids]!”
On his podcast last week, Zach told Jenna he doesn’t believe she’ll “ever feel done” having kids, but he wants to make her happy. In order to go along with her family plan, however, Zach said he wanted to have his wife shake his hand on-camera to a proposed agreement– one which Jenna immediately refused to do if it had “anything to do with the number [of kids we’re having].”
“No, it’s not about the number,” Zach said. “But we can continue down this treacherous, insane, sleepless path, but my golf schedule doesn’t change.”
After he and Jenna shook on the deal, Zach explained that the agreement means that every Wednesday, every other Saturday and every third Friday of the month, he’ll be free to partake in “general horseplay” with his podcast co-host, Pierre Bacall. He noted that the agreement also means that he’ll be allowed to take two golf trips a year.
While Zach was presumably joking about procreating on the promise of hanging with his pals and playing golf, both he and Jenna have publicly discussed his involvement– or lack thereof– as a parent in the past.
Back in 2023, Zach received backlash from fans for revealing on a podcast (on which Jenna was also a guest) that he leaves most parenting tasks to his wife and that he’s “very lucky” he doesn’t have to wake up in the middle of the night to tend to their many children. Jenna went on to defend Zach on the episode, arguing that he frequently cleans around their house and that he works full-time, which allows her to be a stay-at-home mom.
On Tuesday, Zach decided to keep the part-time parenting “jokes” going by posting an Instagram Reel of Jenna holding their six-month-old daughter while vacuuming. As the clip goes on, Zach is shown walking by Jenna and giving her a kiss before leaving the house with a golf bag slung over his shoulder.
“Jenna said she had a lot of things to do this week, so I scheduled a golf trip with the boys to stay out of her way,” the text on the video read. In the caption of the post– which also included a photo of Zach and his friends on the golf course– Zach “joked” about being “husband of the year.”

He makes me stabby, but seems like she’s on-board with doing all of the work raising their kids. To each their own 🤷♀️ – hard pass for me. My husband more than pulls his weight with parenting and household duties. There is nothing less sexy to me than a man-child like Zach who won’t lift a finger. I guess some women find that “manly” 🤮
