Kendra Duggar Reportedly Banned from Having Any Contact with Her Alleged Victims Until After Her Court Date Next Month

“After his charge, they automatically do a home study if minors live there. They came to her house,” Us Weekly reported. “Apparently, they had two rooms where the lock of the doorknob was on the outside instead of inside. They arrested her and took her kids for that, saying it’s evidence that she wrongly detains her kids.”

  1. I’m confused about her actual charges because my ex locked our four year old in a room and when I called cps they didn’t even care, he wasn’t even questioned.. so I’m curious what more there is to all this

    1. I agree and also who’s to say she locks them in there rooms the locks could be on outside so they don’t lock themselves in there young and kids mess with locks and if they lock doors something could happen and then parents may not be able to get in to help them im just saying it’s not a guarantee thats why locks are on outside

      1. THIS! When we moved into our new apartment, our LO’s bedroom (she was 2 and half at the time) had the lock on the inside. She locked herself in the first night (in the middle of the night, no less, and we had to force the door open somehow. It was frightening for her and both her father and me! We fixed it immediately following the incident. Now her door has a knob without a lock on either side.

If she were locking the kids in the room purposefully, wouldn’t all four doors have the locks on the outside instead of two?

  2. My ex husband locked my four year old In a room and I called cps and they didn’t care soooo ok idk

  3. Throughout the ages, children have grown up and locks on doors were not used. Heaven forbid a fire started, getting locks off doors could prove a fast way to demise. No one knows the truth behind the Kendra arrest and denial to see, talk or any contact of her small children sounds horrible especially as a mother who would hug her babies. Waiting to hear the true story why the house seems a house of horrors

  4. I’m wondering if the door lock being on the outside is imprisonment, then what about locking them into the house during the day or night? ( something we all do). Exactly what’s the difference? Your trying to protect them!!

    1. Or how about the locks are on the outside of the doors so the kids don’t go into the rooms during the day. We had a kids lock on the cellar door which is the outside of the door.
Kids can get into trouble very quickly.

    2. Ya- I think this is just ridiculous. In fact Baby Safe has locks they sell….. because they arrested Janna for one of the little urchins getting out. Someimes you gave an escape artist- we do!

  5. What is the Carrie was going on in their house??

The amount of people who think it’s not a big deal to lock children in their room is very concerning. It’s not acceptable to lock kids up like that. That’s insane. And the whole escape artist reasoning is also super sus. Because why can’t they leave their room at night? Front door alarms, chains, etc. are also options.

    1. Right?! It’s like step into the 21st century! If your kid repeatedly locks themself in their room, buy a doorknob without a lock or get one of those little keys that unlocks the door. I still have one. It’s on the top of the doorjamb above the bathroom door.

And use cameras and alarms! You have a baby monitor and an alarm on their bedroom door and you know exactly what’s going on without locking them up and endangering their safety. I swear, people are just lazy.

    2. I guess you aren’t a Mom- some kids are escape artists and you have no choice- it’s dangerous to let them roam outside.

      1. First of all, there are many many options to choose bedsides locking them in their room. If you cannot keep them safe then you shouldn’t be raising them. Second, it’s literally against the law to lock children up like that. Third, there is no way that ALL FOUR of their children have that problem. You’re defending someone who was arrested for incidents involving children. That’s weird.

    3. Thank you. It really saddens me that this many adults think locking children in their rooms is perfectly acceptable. I’ve raised four human beings and never, not even one time, has locking them in their rooms ever crossed my mind. And I rasied four very rowdy boys who DESPISED any sleep time. Never did I ever even consider just locking them away like prisoners. That’s abusive in my eyes.

    4. I mean having a lock on the door doesn’t mean anyone was locked in. Maybe they lock the doors during the day, so they don’t go in the room? I am certainly not defending a Duggar but this girl is being prosecuted/guilty with a story that may or may not even be the case, for something that may or may not have happened. Flimsy at best

  6. Maybe it’s not a flipped doorknob, but an actual keyed lock. Maybe she knew what he did and stayed with him under the agreement that she would only have access to the kids at night and he’s never left alone with them.

  7. Over a doorknob lock?? Absolutely not. I am scared to know what they actually found. Sadly I do believe Kendra along with the other doting wives (cough Anna cough cough) are compliant with their husbands no matter what.

  8. I’m guessing the no contact order is due to the husband’s charges and they are investigating if the children could have been exposed or involved.

  9. I also think there’s more to it than the door knobs because a lot of people do that when they have escape artist kids so they don’t wander off at night (I’m not saying it’s safe, just that it’s a common enough occurrence that it wouldn’t result in all of this). If that was it, they would probably have just told her that’s not allowed, made her flip them, and then checked up a few times. Maybe required a parenting class. Charges and a no contact order point to there being more, or at least the cops suspecting more.

    1. I agree. If it was reversed door locks they’d just tell them to correct it and check back later. The sand if it was a lock that needed a key. Bi fear it’s far worse than just locks on doors.

  10. I agree with you about Kendra’s no contact. Even watching police body cam videos on youtube, especially Florida, police/child protection almost always lets the kids stay with at least one parent (even when there is crime or drugs involved). My guess is law enforcement want to make an example of her.

  11. I agree with everyone else. Theres no way children would be this protected over a door knob. There had to be either proof of physical abuse or claims of sexual abuse. And Kendra had to have been aware or participating in whatever the abuse was, or they would be with her.

  12. This is not about some doorknobs, the courts won’t ban a mother from seeing her children because of doorknobs. I think they want to talk to the kids to make sure Joseph didn’t do to them the same things he did to his victim and don’t want to risk them being manipulated by Kendra

      1. There has to be. I’m betting they refused to allow access to the kids for talking to them or physical exams..Once they lose custody the authorities can do what they need to.

    1. I’m curious how the same didn’t happen to Anna. Maybe because they were living in the warehouse on JB’s property and JB stopped an inspection from happening at the time Josh was investigated in 2019? There were also no exterior windows on the warehouse they were living in – another fire code violation.

  13. There’s got to be more going on than just reversed door locks, I want to know what was behind those doors.

  14. The locked door knob on the outside scenario is info being released from the Duggar camp, can it really be trusted? I’m sure they will say whatever paints the situation in the best light. Law enforcement can’t release details of what they discovered. But, for her to have no contact with “the victims” until a judge weighs in…I’m guessing there’s a lot more to this than door knobs.

    1. That’s an interesting idea. They charge her with multiple instances of child neglect and/or endangerment but the Duggars only mention the reversed locks. That is quite plausible and something the Boob and Meech would do.

  15. No contact with children after both parents were arrested? That feels like a really high burden for the court to prove that is most beneficial to 4 kids to cut both parents off cold over flipped door knobs. I’m over here thinking way worse.

  16. Hopefully the courts have the good sense to not have the victims with any of the Duggar’s. Maybe Kendra’s mother and father have a brain but who knows? The kids need to be safe first and foremost.
