Kail Lowry and her (arguably) least-favorite baby daddy Chris Lopez exchanged words on social media this week after the former Teen Mom 2 star claimed on TikTok Live that she paid for Chris’ Bachelor’s degree and insisted that without her financial assistance, “he probably wouldn’t have graduated.”
The latest feud between the consistently combative co-parents– who share sons Lux and Creed– ignited after a fan asked Kail on TikTok Live this week why she continues to “make jokes about Chris” being broke, only to go on and date people who “have as much as he [does].”

After arguing that the jokes she makes at her third baby daddy’s expense are “very few and far between,” Kail proceeded to call out Chris for not achieving more at this point in his life, before going on to take credit for funding (at least part of) his college education.
“ … it’s not about what he has … ,” Kail said of Chris. “Also, if you wanna get into that– you’re gonna piss me off, but I’ll respond to it– Chris has a Bachelor’s degree … I paid for the f**king Bachelor’s degree.

“[Chris] chooses to live the way he lives; he chooses to make whatever little amount of money that he makes. He chooses not to pay his child support, he chooses what he has,” she continued. “He has a Bachelor’s degree. He could go get a better job and live a very different life … .”
Chris later took to social media to dispute Kail’s claim about “paying for [him] to graduate,” while calling his baby mama a “habitual liar” who purposely distorts the truth. He confirmed that his mother contacted Kail (without his knowledge) and asked her to pay some student debt that might have prevented Chris from graduating.
“ … my mom reached out behind my back one semester I owed $1,500…”
He then threw things back at Kail, whom he insinuated only received her own Bachelor’s degree due to her giving money to the college.
(In 2016, Kail donated $10,000 to Delaware State University while she was still a student there. Half of that money went to establish the Kailyn Lowry Scholarship, while the other half was donated to the school’s Mass Communications department.)
“The only degree [Kail] paid for was theirs when they failed a class and then put a scholarship in their name but it was really a payment to pass #callmybluff,” Chris wrote on his Instagram Story. “Was paying for school the entire 5 years on my own lol you made one payment lol. I told my mom I’d rather not graduate [than] go to [Kail] that’s why they went behind my back.”
In response, Kail later returned to Live to provide some context to her previous comments, including her claim that Chris is choosing not to pay child support for their two sons. The mom of seven told fans that while Chris is supposed to be paying her $288 (total for both kids) in child support each month, she only receives around $190 from him. (She stated during the Live that Chris is only required to pay her the state-minimum for their sons, as well as an additional monthly payment, “to go towards his arrears, which is $48 or $44– something like that.”)
“ … but he never pays that, he only pays $191 a month,” Kail claimed. “And that’s garnished, it’s not willing. He’s not doing that on his own, it’s getting garnished from his checks. So I get two checks for $95.77 a month … .”

Kail then went on to double-down on her comment about “paying for Chris to graduate,” insisting that what she said was “not a lie” and claiming that she had actually paid “more than $1,500” to ensure that her ex received his college diploma.
“ … his family rallied together, three of his family members called me and basically begged me to pay for this amount– it was over $1,500– and they were like, ‘We will pay you back, he won’t graduate, he won’t get his degree if you don’t pay for this,’ so I did,” she said. “They never paid me back, he got his Bachelor’s degree, he walked across the stage with a f**king Bachelor’s degree and he chooses not to work more than he does right now. I don’t even know what he does. I don’t know where he works and he doesn’t even pay his full $288 [in child support] a month … .
“ … I just wanted to clear up the rumors that if I didn’t pay for that last f**king thing, he probably wouldn’t have graduated … ,” she continued, before acknowledging that she hadn’t paid for ALL of Chris’ college tuition.
Kail went on to post a screenshot of Chris’ response to her initial Live, while providing more context to her claims and continuing to insist that Chris wouldn’t have received his bachelor’s degree if it weren’t for her.
“ … so like I said, I paid for you to receive your degree,” she wrote. “You wouldn’t have graduated if I didn’t.”

$288 child support for two kids is wild. You break that down and divide it by 30 and that’s $9.60 a day for both kids. I don’t care what money Kail has, that’s crazy that’s all he’s contributing.
That is literally how child support works. Why should a man have to pay a woman a bunch of money to take care of her own kids, if she has plenty of money to take care of her own kids? THATS wild. She spread her legs to make these kids. If she has plenty of money then why should a man owe her more? If the roles were reversed you sure wouldn’t be here saying kail should pay him more. It’s wild.
This is what happens when you have babies with every man you date.
Why does she care to engage in this? She can’t help herself.
She has this obsession with always having the last word, always feeling superior to others, always being right, always being the know-it-all, and always being the “celebrity”. She is too full of herself to realize that in the many many verbal battles she’s been in, the common denominator is HER, and everyone on earth thinks she’s obnoxious
They mention Chris’ bachelor’s degree ten times if you include the title, but I still have no idea what he studied. I tried googling it; Chris Lopez is not a rare name.
No one cares
Imagine still going back and forth online with your relationship drama in your mid thirties lol. This is so embarrassing.
I’m sorry but kail still acting this way to this day is aggregious. I don’t care what she paid for or who screwed her over or what has gone on. She has too much money, too much success, too many children, and is way too darn old to still be this person. Grow up.
If he had no money which doesn’t seem like he does, he easily as an adult would’ve gotten financial aid and grants. This man did not make enough money to not get financial aid and was old enough to not be under the financial wing of an adult, he was an independent adult and could’ve done this on his own with financial aid
