Cory Wharton Claims Paramount Has a “Game Plan” to Bring ‘Teen Mom’ Back for a Final Season: “We Need One More!”

“Come on, guys! Just one more season of getting paid to talk about my favorite thing– myself!”

It’s been nearly a year since the last episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter aired, but the future of the MTV reality show remains unknown, despite many of the cast members calling on MTV (and Paramount— the company that now owns the network) to give the show a final season.

On Wednesday, cast member Cory Wharton (who has made several “updates” on the status of the show over the past few month) revealed that there is, indeed, something in the works regarding next steps for ‘Next Chapter.’ While Cory has stated that the show is “cancelled” in the past, Wednesday’s update seemed much more positive, with the father of three stating that he’s been in contact with Paramount regarding the “plan” for the show.

“Actually, things are moving in the right direction, that’s all I’ll say about that,” Cory stated on Snapchat.

“… I will give you guys a little inside scoop…I had a talk with Paramount. I talked with someone with Paramount and there’s a game plan to get this thing going, to get this show back, there’s a game plan,” he added. “I just want this game plan to actually form and they execute it.”

“I’m saying it right now— I am NOT gonna be the one who has to go wake Amber and tell her she has to get off the couch to film!”

Cory went on to plead his case for the ‘Teen Mom’ families to have a chance to show where they’ve ended up.

“There’s an interest out there. Come on! ‘Teen Mom,’ let’s get a last season!” he said. “Let’s get a roundup season [to show] where every family is and what they’ve got going on. We need one more in the chamber.”

Back in February, Cory caused quite a stir among his castmates when he took to social media to declare, “Teen Mom Is Canceled.” Other members of the cast then came forward to say that no one else had heard that the show was officially done.

On Snapchat on Tuesday, Cory revealed that he got in trouble for making that post.

“The moms want to hang on to whatever they can…I got a call from the higher-ups saying, ‘Cory be quiet and take your post down.’ But that thing’s still up there. Freedom of speech. I’m a wild card. That’s what throws them off; they can’t control me.”

(While the post is still up, Cory did change what he wrote, editing his words so they read like a question— “Is Teen Mom cancelled???— rather than a statement as he originally wrote it— “Teen Mom is cancelled.”)

“Oh….you noticed that lil edit? Whatever, I’m still in control!”

Cory went on to ramble about how he’s a “vet in this game” because he is now older than many of the producers from ‘Teen Mom.’

“Producers is crazy now. I’m gonna be real with you– a lot of these producers are younger than I am. I’m 35 years old in the game and a lot of these producers are younger than 35. I’m looking at them like, ‘Listen up, young pup. I’ve been doing this 13 years, half your ages.”

“That’s not really the flex you think it is, Cor. Being on a show about teen parents so long that you are now older than the producers is kinda cringe.”

Cory continued to make his plea to the network (or any network) to give the ‘Teen Mom’ers one last paycheck season.

“I think every family needs another season,” he said. “We need [to know] where everybody is.”

Where everyone is…basically.

“Give us a farewell tour,” Cory pleaded. “Let everyone have a little farewell tour where we’re all talking about where we are in life, what our kids are doing… you can’t just end it on a random season.”

Cory assured his fans that, regardless if ‘Teen Mom’ gets one more season or not, his mug will remain on our screens.

“I hope it does come back,” he said. “Either way we’re working on some other stuff and I appreciate the interest.”

As The Ashley previously told you, the cast remains under contract for the show for one calendar year from the time the last episode aired. The last episode of ‘Next Chapter’ aired in May 2025, meaning that the cast is currently still under contract. From what The Ashley’s production sources have told her, the network will legally need to notify the cast by May 2026 if the show is cancelled, something that has not happened to The Ashley’s knowledge, as of press time.

“I’ll be here— doing this— until we get that call!”

“If they are terminating the casts’ contracts early, they would need to formally do that and inform the cast that they are no longer under contract,” a source tells The Ashley.

  1. No, Cory, YOU listen- “Young pup”… Go get a real job. What is sad is you are pushing for a show that is about Teen moms and you are 35 years old… You also refuse to make Taylor an honest woman when no one else wants you and she has two of your kids… SMH

  2. “Teen Dad (@35 years old) Cory Applies for his First Job EVER”…… maybe you could sell that one on You Tube. But probably not. And btw…..nobody needs another season of this shitshow.

  3. This man needs a ribbon to commemorate his tireless efforts that involve not getting a real job. He’s allergic to work just like ol’ vienna sausage from the swamp

  4. We know where everyone is at:

    1) Kail has 17 kids by 14 baby daddies and makes money by slandering them on her crap podcasts. Expect another baby by the new guy any day now, along with his exiting the building to make room for a new guy and subsequent new baby.

2.) Janelle is back with the swamp thing and has been torturing Jace for headlines. More bad plastic surgery to follow. Eventually when all of this kills Barbara, we will be notified.

3.). Farrah looks like a plastic, over inflated version of her mother and will do anything to stay relevant, including porn, exploiting her daughter, and commenting publicly (in the weirdest version of English-ish) on things that have absolutely nothing to do with her, just to get attention.

4.) After exhausting herself on her meth fueled nighttime TikTok blasts where she screamed at everyone and further ailienated her daughter, Amber is now crashed out on her couch, surrounded by errant pieces of popcorn, potato chip crumbs, and pizza crusts.

5.) Tyler and Caitlyn are waking up around noon, giving their daughters a lecture on the evils of adoption and how their family isn’t a family without Carly (while making them feel worthless), and are plotting more ways to make money without ever working a day in their lives by exploiting Carly and showing Tyler’s goodies on Only Fans.

    We will assume….

1.) Leah and the girls are fine. Hopefully they do well in college. Corey continues to be an epic dad.

2.) Since Chelsea and Cole wisely decided to keep the kids out of the spotlight and let them have a childhood, all are flourishing.

There you go! No “last season” necessary!

  5. Cheyanne or whatever is a racist creep. She posted stuff about wanting to hurt white babies BEFORE mtv hired her.. mtv is a joke

    1. why didn’t you mention jenelle and farrah who also have very racist pasts? or even taylor and kail? 🤔

  6. If they do bring it back, it should be focused on the original, actual teen parents instead of Cory and Chey. I would even prefer Farrah to non-teen mom nepo baby Cheyenne.

  7. I’m pretty sure at this point no one gives a fuck, especially since these nuckleheads posts everything for free on social media. People who care follow them there. I’m not one of them 😆

  8. What a pathetic loser he is. Where they all are? On various couches in Michigan, Indiana,Florida, Tennessee, Texas, etc.

  9. Nobody “needs” another season. Hang it up already. The first round of kids are approaching their high school graduations.

  10. I’m pretty sure the moms are done with the show and have moved on. But I would like 2 reunion shows; one with the moms and one with the dads. Like they did years ago. That could be like a farewell thing to end the show.

  11. No Corey we most definitely don’t need “one more”. I have no desire to put money in the pockets of “teen moms” who are all in their mid 30’s so they don’t need to get a real job.

    1. I don’t watch anymore because I don’t have access to MTV, but I want 1 more season just to stick it to Amber to show they can do a season without her.

  12. who the hell made cory leader and spokesperson of this franchise? how about you go look for a job instead😩
