Bravo will soon head south to the town of Boerne, Texas– located about 30 miles northwest of San Antonio– for a brand-new reality series with the working title “Secrets, Lies, Texas Wives.”
The network announced the news this week during NBC Universal’s 2026 Upfronts presentation in New York City, where it was confirmed that the series has been ordered; however, according to Us Weekly, a premiere date and cast list for the show has yet to be revealed.
“In the heart of Texas Hill County is the picture-perfect town of Boerne where wealth, beauty, faith and family reign supreme,” the synopsis for the upcoming series reads. “Centered on a tight-knit circle of glamorous women, this series follows their lives as they raise families, run ranches and farms and manage sparkling social calendars in a town rooted in rodeos and tradition.
“Behind the polished smiles and Sunday sermons, however, there are intimate relationships and forbidden romances that test loyalties and marriages, jeopardizing the town’s pristine image and proving that perfection is far more complicated than anyone could imagine.”
The ‘Secrets, Lies, Texas Wives’ announcement comes nearly a year after the production company Ain’t That Something Entertainment put out a casting call for a show with the working title The Real Housewives of the South, which some online speculated to be a reality series inspired by the novel-turned-Netflix series, The Hunting Wives.
The post– which no longer appears on the production company’s social media page– stated that a major streaming service was casting a “close-knit circle of Southern friends navigating faith, family, and life’s untold chapters for a major docuseries.”
According to Us Weekly, the production company was seeking “big personalities” and “big stories.”
Bravo’s last Texas-based reality series, The Real Housewives of Dallas, aired on the network from 2016 to 2021. Bravo reportedly told Us Weekly in August 2021 that there were no plans to bring the series back the following year. While the show was never officially cancelled, it has not made a return to the network.
