Lindsie Chrisley is spilling tea on why she dropped the temporary protective order (TPO) request she filed against her ex-boyfriend David Landsman last month, just days after David was arrested for aggravated assault (via strangulation) and battery against the former Chrisley Knows Best star.
As you may remember, David’s arrest came after he allegedly attacked Lindsie– his on-and-off girlfriend of about two years– at his Georgia home on April 10. The Ashley later revealed audio of a 911 call David made on the night of the incident, in which he accused Lindsie of breaking into his home and “beating” him in the face, allegedly leaving him bloodied. Despite the claims made in the 911 call, cops ended up apprehending David, as they allegedly found bruises and injuries on Lindsie.

While Lindsie and David went on to file for TPOs against each other, the two ultimately agreed to a “mutual no contact order” earlier this month, which will remain in place until May 6, 2027.
In a recent bonus episode of her podcast The Southern Tea, Lindsie insisted to listeners that she didn’t drop the TPO request she had filed against David because the claims she made against him were false, but rather because she wanted to avoid the likeliness of a lengthy court proceeding.
“ … I want to be very clear when I say things weren’t dropped because there wasn’t validity to claims, things were dropped because I’m a decent person,” Lindsie said. “And people can have their opinions about whatever, there was a civil agreement that was entered into, and that civil agreement is no different than as if the state had issued that agreement.

“If prevented, number one, who wants to be in court for 12 hours?” Lindsie continued. “We were gonna get to the same result, let’s just go ahead and agree, move on, and then I don’t have to look at you because I’m uncomfortable and I’m not gonna put you in the position to have to look at me.”
In her TPO request last month, Lindsie claimed that David had allegedly physically attacked Jackson– the son she shares with ex-husband Will Campbell– in the past and she alleged that the April 10 incident was not the first time that David had strangled her. Lindsie also detailed an alleged incident on February 13 when David allegedly got violent with her over their formerly shared dachshund, Oliver.

On her podcast this week, Lindsie said that while she has “empathy” for her ex, she also wants to “be away from the situation” and believes that she was able to do so in a safe way by entering into the civil agreement this month. (She did not, however, comment on David’s decision to drop his TPO request against her.)
“I was able to mentally enter that civil agreement because when someone is out on bond, that acts– per bond conditions– as a criminal restraining order,” she claimed. “And so, I have the same amount of protection, if not more, by going the path that I went.”
Per the exes’ mutual no contact order, a judge ordered David to return Oliver to Lindsie (via third party) within 48 hours. Additionally, Lindsie and David are required to stay 500 yards away from each other, as well as from each other’s homes and workplaces. The two are also prohibited from contacting each other in any way (even through a third party), and David is banned from going near Lindsie’s son.

I can’t with her. She’s dropping the order because it makers HER uncomfortable? What about her child? She admitted that this guy physically abused her son in public, and she stayed with him. She admitted her son has never liked him, that she went to therapy to deal with it.
Put your child first Lindsey. Protecting him, is keeping this guy legally away from you whether it makes you uncomfortable or not. Not to mention he’s abused her multiple times. That guy is dangerous
She’s an idiot.
