‘Teen Mom’ Alum Amanda Conner Speaks Out Following DUI Arrest; Admits to Relapse: “I Fell Hard”

“Yes, y’all I was speedin’…and I ain’t talkin’ about my behavior on the road.”

Several days after she was arrested for DUI, child abuse and other charges, Amanda Conner is coming clean and admitting she is not, in fact, clean.

As The Ashley previously reported, Amanda— who is the wife of “Teen Mom” star Ryan Edwards— was tossed in the clink on Sunday after Ryan called the police on her to inform them Amanda was allegedly driving high with their daughter Presley in her car. Amanda was arrested that night on charges of DUI, child abuse and more.

While Amanda’s sister Ashley hit The Interwebs earlier this week to defend Amanda (and accuse Ryan of nearly killing Amanda during one of their fights a few months ago), Amanda had not spoken out herself since the arrest…until Wednesday.

Amanda took to TikTok to post a video in which she admitted she had, indeed, relapsed. (Fans had been wondering for months if Amanda was still sober, due to her increasingly bizarre behavior online, but Amanda had insisted until the arrest that she was not using drugs.)

“There’s no other way; gonna have to say it and own up to it and just post it. I relapsed,” Amanda said. “I f**ked up and I relapsed after three years of me busting my a** and getting my life together, I relapsed. I think I got too comfortable, let my guard down and it happened.”

As ‘Teen Mom’ fans are aware, Amanda and Ryan met while both were attending court-ordered rehab together in 2023. Although Amanda’s sister heavily implied that she did not believe Ryan is still sober, Amanda did not mention her husband’s name— or sobriety— in her video.

“I do know addiction does not care how long you’ve been clean; it doesn’t care how much you’ve built, how many people believed in you, it doesn’t care about none of that,” Amanda said. “I do want to start off by apologizing to my followers and my supporters. Because I know y’all believed in me and y’all ride so hard for me and I appreciate the f**k outta that, and I’ve let you all down. I let my family down.

“Just sayin’ that out loud, just letting it be known that I relapsed, it’s just so uncomfortable. It’s shameful, disappointed,” Amanda continued. “I feel guilty, scared. I’m not perfect. I’ve never claimed to be perfect. Life happened and I fell and I fell hard.”

Amanda went on to proclaim that she’s “a fighter” and is determined not to “let relapse be my whole story.” She also told her social media followers that she was going to document her recovery online.

“We ain’t gettin’ those sweet MTV checks no more so TikTok vlogs here I come!”

” I’m gonna bring y’all along on my journey to recovery. And it’s not gonna be fun; it’s not gonna be pretty,” she said. “It’s gonna be real; it’s gonna be raw and it’s gonna be hard. But, like I said, I am a fighter and I refuse to let relapse define me or be my story.”

Amanda spoke about the consequences she’s currently facing as the result of her arrest. As The Ashley reported, Amanda was charged with DUI, as well as Child Abuse/Neglect, due to the fact that she had Presley in the car when she was arrested for DUI. (This is a likely to be a felony charge.) She also received charges of Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic, and violating the Tennessee Implied Consent Law (for refusing to submit to a breathalyzer, blood or fluid test.)

Amanda is due in court on June 3 to answer to those charges. Until then, she is required to wear an electronic monitoring system, and is to have no contact with Presley.

“Obviously, you know, it comes with consequences and I’m dealing with those consequences,” she said.

“Consequences? I ain’t never had any of those…”

“It sucks and I owe my supporters a big apology. Like I said, I know y’all believed in me and y’all ride hard for me and I really appreciate that. I love y’all for that,” she said.

…”[This is] what happens in my life when you relapse and do stupid s**t. There’s consequences. But we’re not gonna give up. We’re gonna fight and we’re gonna get back on track. With that being said, we’re getting ready to go meet the lawyer, so stay tuned. I love you guys.”

(Amanda did not reveal if the “we” she was referring to was her and Ryan.)

  1. Focus on sobriety for herself and family and not her followers. She won’t make it if she’s only doing it for the views.

  2. She wanted to start off by apologizing to her followers…. not her kids. Including the one she put in harms way the night she was arrested…
There is absolutely no sincerity here, Amanda comes off caring more about views than she does genuinely caring about sobriety.

    1. Literally came here to say this… She apologized to her followers but not the children she endangered?

  3. I feel for her. It’s not easy. But getting back up, brushing it off, and getting back to business is all you can do. I hope she learns a lot from this and it becomes a huge piece in her growth. Relapse is a major part of recovery for that very reason.

    1. She’s pretend curling her hair and her behavior is still very odd. I think she is using this situation as “content”. I still think she is using.
