As fans know, the couple made their “Unexpected” debut in Season 8, during which it was revealed that (now) 16-year-old Bella and 14-year-old Hunter had conceived their baby Wesley when Bella was 14 and Hunter was just 12. The Ashley has followed the ongoing custody battle for Hunter (and Wesley), but now it seems to be over for the teenage parents, something Bella’s mom Falen Vaughn hinted about in an update posted to social media on Tuesday.
Earlier this month, Bella announced that she and Hunter were engaged to be married, only to later delete all social media posts featuring her barely-teenaged baby daddy and take to TikTok to subtly confirm (via reposts) that she and Hunter have called it quits. Bella recently posted a TikTok lip-syncing to the song “String By” by Mack Geiger, while rolling her eyes. (For those unfamiliar, the song features the lyrics, “So when you call me up at 2 a.m. / Crying that you need me again.”)
On Tuesday, she returned to the platform to post a similar TikTok, this time featuring the song “Self Esteem” by The Offspring, with her post including the lyrics, “I know I’m being used / But that’s OK because I like the abuse.”
Bella’s recent TikTok reposts also point towards a breakup, with one repost reading, “Fortunately, I do give up on people. You can’t continuously drain me, disappoint me, and disrespect me while expecting me to keep being around.” Meanwhile, a Reddit post compiled Bella’s other suspicious reposts, including one that stated, “A man that can betray the woman who carried his child will betray anyone.”
While Bella continues to post/repost cryptic videos to social media, her mom, Falen Vaugh– who was recently arrested for disorderly conduct following an incident at Hunter’s dad and stepmom’s home– took to TikTok this week to give a happy update on Bella amid the recent breakup rumors, without confirming or directly addressing the rumors of Bella and Hunter’s split.
“We did figure out that [Bella] will be graduating a year early,” Falen excitedly shared. “She got extra classes done this year, so now she is officially fixing to be a senior!”
Falen went on to say that Bella is “focusing on herself and her son and her education,” while conveniently not mentioning Hunter at all.
“She’s fine, she’s strong, she’s a very strong-willed woman and she’s doing what’s best for her and her son,” Falen continued.
Falen also explained to fans that the Vaughn Family had not been as active on social media in recent weeks because they wanted to “give [Bella] a little privacy while she goes through everything she’s been going through.”
In the comment section of her TikTok, Falen “liked” a comment from a fan asking whether or not the young couple broke up, as well as another that encouraged Bella to keep her head up.
“Tell her being a ‘single mom’ [and] co-parenting will change you and make you a better person, y’all got this!” the commenter wrote, to which Falen replied, “She’s got this!”
Not only does it appear that the teen parents have called it quits, it also seems that Hunter has found himself a new girlfriend. The TikTok account @tvshowsace92 recently posted a screenshot of an unidentified young girl’s social media post, along with a comment from Hunter that read, “She’s all mine.” The teen has since set his TikTok page to private.

Bella and Hunter have yet to officially confirm their breakup.

I myself think this may be a ploy. Considering all the lo legal issues that are going on with both family I find this weird. I think these kids have plan. This is all to convenient!!!

Omg, an engaged 16 and 14 *didn’t* make it? I am so shocked. Shocked I tell you.
“She is a very strong woman”. No she isn’t she is still a CHILD. I also have no idea what Hunter’s Dad is thinking. If Hunter was a girl would he be cool with his daughter dating from the age of 12, getting knocked up and then having a new relationship at 14 and already be a parent?!

His dad by everything going on wasn’t ok with it. It was his mother who encouraged it. Also kids are going to do what they are going to do unless you lock them up. If you try to keep them from doing things like dating they are just going to hide it.
I think what they’re saying is that hunter just had a child. If we’re gonna say Bella shouldn’t move on to a new relationship right away – and she definitely shouldn’t- then neither should hunter.
It’s like the only reason he was with her was because of all the unprotected s3x he was getting at any time 😂

BAHAHAHAHAHA. I’m sorry, but anyone with eyes saw this coming from miles away. He’s out of that family’s clutches for a couple of weeks and he’s moved on.
At least she doesn’t have to give the ring back since her momma bought it.
So glad his father was able to get custody, Falen’s family is F*cked up.
I hope Bella gets therapy when she is grown.
