One reality TV fan got quite the birthday present from Jax Taylor— in the form of a Cameo video in which he bashes his ex-girlfriend Stassi Schroeder for neglecting her family in favor of her career.
In a Cameo that was shared by the anonymous recipient with Bravo and Cocktails, the former star of ‘The Valley’ stated what kind of wife and mother he thinks Stassi is, based on his viewing of her new reality show, ‘House of Stassi.’
Jax— who clearly has very little room to speak on the topic of marriage— shared that he thinks Stassi’s husband Beau Clark deserves someone better than Stassi. He also opined that Stassi prioritizes her career over her family.
“I think Stassi is an amazing person,” Jax said. “I think she’s strong, I think she’s smart, I think she’s intelligent. I just don’t think she’s the best wife. I think Beau deserves somebody that just cares about his feelings a little bit more.”
Jax went on to admit that he shouldn’t be speaking on anyone’s marriage…but then proceeded to do so.
“Stassi’s just very career-driven and I think she puts her husband and her kids on the backburner,” Jax said. “… if you’re career-focused…and you’re a boss bitch, then, you know, that’s a positive thing. You put your kids, your husband on the backburner, then it’s not a good thing…”
With his own terrible relationship track record, Jax is definitely the wrong person to talk about anyone else’s marriage, but he’s far from the only one to comment on Stassi and Beau’s relationship.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that was released last week, Stassi reflected back on the “intervention of sorts” the couple’s friends staged about their marriage in the show’s season finale.
Stassi told the news outlet that she wasn’t surprised that the show prompted discussion, acknowledging that she and Beau were “so vulnerable and didn’t hold back and showed real married couple things and issues.” She also explained that she and Beau have continued to work on their marriage since then.
Fans have also been weighing in about the relationship on both Stassi’s and the show’s social media accounts.
“Coming from someone whose kids aren’t the easiest .. when you ‘can’t handle’ them, you seek professional help, HIRE people to help, SPEND TIME WITH THEM & learn how to do & be better,” one person wrote on social media. “You don’t just dump them on your husband.
“Tbh the worst part was finding out she [would] rather avoid her kids than deal with them because ‘they’re hard,'” another person commented. “Loved her until this show. MOTHERHOOD IS HARD. And most of us work and are still the default parent. Be so foreal.”
Stassi defended herself during her interview with The Hollywood Reporter, stating that it was unfair for fans to criticize her as a wife and mother when they’ve only seen a small portion of her family life.
“I’m bummed that a lot of the scenes with me, Beau and our kids really didn’t make it in [the show],” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “I see the criticism online of being like, ‘Stassi’s a bad mom’ or whatever. I’m like, ‘You didn’t even see me parent. You didn’t even see a scene with me being a mom. So how could you even say that?’”
As one of the show’s producers, though, Stassi seemingly had some say in what viewers saw, according to an interview ‘House of Stassi’ executive producers David Marker and Renata Lombardo did with Us Weekly.
“There’s a handful of scenes that really stand out, but I think at the beginning of this journey, Stassi said to us, ‘I’m going to bleed out for this show,’” Renata told the outlet. “She knew she had to go there. If she wasn’t going to deliver at that level, the audience was not going to accept.”
As ‘Vanderpump Rules’ fans will remember, Jax dated Stassi for three years. Their relationship and its aftermath (including the revelation that Jax cheated on Stassi with her then-BFF Kristen Doute) brought quite a bit of drama to the first few seasons of ‘Vanderpump Rules.’
Stassi married Beau in 2020 after two years of dating. The couple are parents to Hartford, 5, and Messer, who turns 3 next month.
As for Jax, he began dating Brittany Cartwright in 2015. The couple married in 2019, welcomed son Cruz in 2021 and separated in 2024. Their divorce has yet to be finalized.
At press time there was no comment on Jax’s Cameo from Stassi, Beau or Brittany.

Stassi commented on Jax’s marriage and issues just like everyone else so why shouldn’t he be able to speak on the same people’s marriages and issues?
Because he can’t without looking like a hypocrite. That man has zero integrity when it comes to relationships. That’s not the case for most people. He’s gaslit his way through every relationship.
