Jax Taylor is requesting that a judge order his estranged wife Brittany Cartwright to cough up more than $17,000 a month in spousal support as ‘The Valley’ exes’ messy and drawn-out divorce proceeds.
According to TMZ, the former bartender is seeking $17,401 in monthly spousal support from his ex, as well as $250,000 to cover his lawyers’ legal fees and another $10,000 to pay for a forensic accountant.
In legal docs obtained by the outlet, 47-year-old Jax claimed he’s not earning a regular income and that his money-making opportunities have dwindled due to Brittany allegedly orchestrating a campaign to label him an “abuser.”
Jax insists that Brittany’s alleged scheming caused him to lose a spot on ‘Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test’– a show Brittany competed on in 2025– and cost him an extended partnership with Carpe Deodorant.
While Jax claims to have earned an average of $30,334 in monthly income over the last year, he estimates his monthly expenses to be $28,994. Meanwhile, he estimates that Britt earned $632,775 in gross income from January 1 to May 31 of this year. (Jax also claims in the latest court documents to have $464,671 across various bank accounts and an additional $193,471 in other property.)
As you may remember, Brittany and Jax were granted temporary restraining orders against each other in August. At the time, Jax accused his “massively unstable” and “alcoholic” ex of interfering with his business deals and employment opportunities by promising to publicly blast those who associated with him professionally.
He went on to claim that Brittany’s actions had cost him actual jobs, including the ‘Special Forces’ gig– a “comeback” role he said would’ve netted him a cool $175,000.
As fans of ‘The Valley’ know, Brittany filed for divorce from Jax in August 2024 after nearly five years of marriage. A year later, Jax announced that he was stepping away from ‘The Valley’ to focus on his sobriety and mental health.
Despite their ongoing– and still growing– feud, Jax and Brittany were able to reach a custody agreement for their five-year-old son Cruz in March. The agreement included a number of restrictions, including one forbidding the exes from being under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs while Cruz is in their care.
Less than five months after that brief moment of civility, Jax confirmed his relationship with his and Brittany’s former publicist, Lori Krebs.
In response to the budding romance, Brittany accused Jax of “breaking the law” by having Lori around their son, as their custody agreement states that neither parent can bring a significant other around Cruz until they’ve been dating at least six months. Jax has argued with Brittany that Lori is not “new” and has been around Cruz his entire life.
In addition to Jax’s latest financial requests, TMZ reports that the former Bravo star is planning to ask the court to remove Brittany’s tie-breaking authority regarding Cruz’s medical decisions. (Cruz is autistic and mostly non-verbal.) Jax claims to have “newfound knowledge” of neglect and unreasonable delays when it comes to Brittany’s handling of Cruz’s care and school enrollment.
As The Ashley previously told you, Jax alleged in his restraining order petition back in August that Brittany would not work with him to get help for their son’s medical needs. That same month, he blasted Brittany on social media for her alleged poor parenting of Cruz, insisting that she failed to follow up with recommendations they’d received from Cruz’s doctor after his 2024 autism diagnosis. (Brittany went on to deny Jax’s claims.)
Jax and Brittany’s next court hearing is scheduled for December 30.
At this time, Brittany has not commented on Jax’s latest requests.

Damn, I wish I could complain about only making $30k a month 😂😂 Jax’s cameos are funny but how else is he making $30k?
Jax’s request is ridiculous as well, considering Brittany is paying $17k a month on the mortgage, instead of $9k, because they refinanced due to Jax’s tax debt. If Jax is really sitting on $600k in the bank, he should use a chunk of that to pay the IRS. Jax also should be paying child support for their son.
It isn’t Brittany’s fault you are abusive either.
