“Love is Blind” Season 11 Stars John Shannon & Sarah Williams File For Divorce; Host Nick Lachey Drops Hint About Potential Infidelity

The couple in happier times…

After being the only couple to marry on Season 11 of ‘Love is Blind,’ John Shannon and Sarah Williams are calling it quits.

On Wednesday, TMZ broke the news that Sarah filed for divorce on June 4, 2026 in Massachusetts, a little over a year after they tied the knot on the show in March 2025.

The court documents state that the couple lived together until April 15, 2026 when they officially parted ways.

Sarah cited an “irretrievable breakdown” of their marriage and requested an “equitable division of all assets and liabilities.”

According to PEOPLE, she also made a separate filing to request her last name to return to her maiden name of Williams.

Although John and Sarah haven’t discussed their divorce publicly, ‘Love is Blind’ host Nick Lachey dropped a huge hint about the potential reason for the split in the trailer for the upcoming reunion.

“You know how I love to stir the pot…”

“I’ll ask you point blank, did you cheat on your wife?” Nick asked John in a preview at the end of the finale. John seemed hesitant before his answer was cut off.

He also told the cast that “whatever you are trying to hide on this stage, it will come out,” but it’s unclear whether or not he was addressing John or Sarah.

The ex-couple had a rough road heading towards their nuptials. After meeting in the pods and bonding over their shared love of Taylor Swift and “Harry Potter,” they struggled to find common ground after disagreeing over politics and religion, especially John’s… hot takes over vaccination and abortion. Before their divorce, Sarah spoke with Us Weekly about moving forward with marriage despite their differences.

“Babe, Harry Potter never had to take a vaccine and look at him! He’s literally the Boy Who Lived!”

“It was a very long conversation,” she shared. “[Our] opinions weren’t that differing. I understand why people are saying that when I watch it back, as well.

“I think we, like, actually really, like, came together, and I almost just had met in the middle,” Sarah continued. “But I actually don’t even think it was meeting in the middle. … I think that I almost wish everyone could have seen the full conversation, because I think it was a wonderful conversation. I appreciated the conversation, and that’s why we kept moving forward.”

The couple also had to navigate an incident where Sarah overheard John telling others in the pods that she was one of his last choices, with Sarah later describing it as “very hurtful” before turning it around to be a growing experience for the two of them.

“Just like our favorite singer, we’re gonna ‘Shake it off!’ Right?”

“That was really great for us because we hadn’t really gotten to a deep level yet, and we had a very constructive conversation about it after.”

John and Sarah were the only couple to get married at the end of the season. John said that he was “excited for a life” with Sarah, and Sarah said that she didn’t know that she was “not even close to how happy [she] could be with the right person.”

The ‘Love is Blind’ Season 11 Reunion airs Sunday, November 8 on Netflix. Watch a clip of the couple’s wedding day below.
