Spoiler Alert: This story contains spoilers for Season 11 of ‘Love Is Blind.’

Scott “Stew” Stewart may not have left ‘Love Is Blind’ with a fiancé, but he did leave the experience with a lesson on how not to pop the question in the future.

Fans of the Netflix dating series watched last week as Stew made a through-the-wall love connection with fellow Bostonian Jacqueline “Jax” Guelli, whom he went on to propose to in the pods. While the two seemed like a materialistic match in heaven, 29-year-old Jax ultimately ghosted her 34-year-old fiancé immediately after their face-to-face reveal, leaving producers to deliver the news to a visibly surprised Stew.

On Sunday, Stew took to social media to reflect on Jax’s now-viral ghosting, which he admitted he was “completely shocked” and “caught off guard” by in the moment. After taking some time to let the humble pie digest, however, Stew told fans he now sees the situation a bit differently.

“ … Unlike most of the bad dating moments in my life, I’ve been able to relive this one as many times as I’ve wanted to with you guys in real time,” he said. “With the benefit of hindsight, maybe [I should have] seen that one coming.”

“Yeah, you and me both.”

Stew went on to assure followers that he’s actually learned a lot from his ‘Love Is Blind’ experience, including which topics probably shouldn’t be included in what’s supposed to be a heartfelt marriage proposal.

“Maybe a proposal isn’t the best time to bring up how I think the [New England Patriots] are gonna do next year,” he said, referring to a remark he made while popping the question to Jax. “Who knows, by the end of this, maybe there will be a ‘How Not to Propose Through a Wall 101.’”

Stew, making light of his proposal flop on Sunday…

As The Ashley told you last week, Jax admitted herself that she wasn’t exactly blown away by Stew’s proposal, even citing it as the main reason she bolted moments after the reveal.

“It was weird,” Jax told Tudum of Stew’s proposal. “I would’ve hoped that he was up all night writing, but it felt like he was just winging it.”

Jax went on to describe Stew’s speech as a “superficial checklist” that wasn’t “about [her] at all.”

“I was bummed, and I couldn’t comprehend it at the time, because you want to be happy,” she continued, while insisting that Stew’s looks had nothing to do with her breakneck pod-exit.

Jax
“Whatever, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.”

Despite crashing and burning on-camera in front of the world countless Netflix subscribers, Stew revealed on Sunday that the feedback he’s received online from fans has actually been “fantastic.”

“I’m glad [to see] how many of you have had the opportunity to just laugh along with my missteps,” he said, calling the entire experience “a crazy ride” and encouraging fans to “stay tuned” to see what happens next.

As fans saw in the preview for the next batch of episodes set to be released this week, Stew and Jax’s story isn’t over yet. Viewers will soon get to see as the exes meet up face-to-face after returning home to Boston, where they will presumably discuss Jax’s ghosting and their extremely short-lived engagement.

New episodes of ‘Love Is Blind’ drop Wednesdays on Netflix.
