Jax Taylor is pleading with a judge to protect him from his estranged wife Brittany Cartwright— just days after Brittany was granted a temporary restraining order against Jax!
TMZ broke the news on Tuesday that Jax has filed for his own restraining order against Brittany, claiming that the star of ‘The Valley’ has been interfering with his business deals and employment opportunities.
According to Jax, Brittany is “massively unstable” and an alcoholic.
In his filing, Jax also claimed that Britt has threatened potential employers and anyone considering working with her ex, promising to blast them publicly for associating with Jax.
“He claims she spread malicious lies about him on the Internet and social media … and even started to contact potential employers and partners to threaten them with public admonishment or ‘worse if they hire me or associate with me in any way,'” TMZ reported.

(Last week, Jax posted an example of Brittany’s alleged meddling. After Jax promoted an event for dads who have children with autism, he claimed Brittany immediately messaged the event’s organizer, asking how Jax was involved and offering to “share some information”— presumably about Jax— with the event organizer.)

In his restraining order request, Jax claims Brittany’s actions cost him actual jobs, including casting on ‘Special Forces.’ Jax claims this “comeback” role would have netted him a cool $175,000.
(As you may remember, Brittany actually appeared on the FOX reality series last year. She dropped out during the first episode.)
Jax also alleged that Brittany contacted six of his employers in August alone and her actions have prompted the companies to “distance themselves” from him “out of fear that [Brittany] will create a public backlash against them.”

In addition, Jax states that he needs the work, given that his savings are “rapidly diminishing” and the $5,000 he receives each month from his Bravo contract will end in November. Jax claims that Brittany refused to film for ‘The Valley’ with him, which also meant a loss of income.
Jax stated that Brittany launched a “full-on attack” on him after she learned that Jax is dating their former publicist, Lori Krebs. TMZ reported that in July, Jax and Britt exchanged angry texts after Jax’s relationship with Lori went public. Brittany claimed that Jax “broke the law” by having Lori around their son Cruz, as their custody agreement states that neither parent can bring a significant other around Cruz until they’ve been dating at least six months.
“Lori is to never be around my son,” Brittany wrote to Jax, who argued that Lori is not “new” and has been around Cruz his entire life.
“You have crossed the line having my son around her,” Brittany told Jax. “If it happens again he will be taken out of your home. Do not contact me, you will see him next weekend.”
In addition to Brittany allegedly interfering with his ability to work, Jax claimed in his restraining order petition that Britt is “grossly negligent” with their son. He states that Brittany will not work with him to get help for their son’s medical needs. (Cruz is autistic and mostly non-verbal.)
This is not the first time that Jax has blasted Britt for her alleged poor parenting of Cruz. In August, Jax posted (and quickly deleted) a screenshot of an email he recently sent to Brittany calling her out for various claims she made on her podcast about their son starting kindergarten this year. He claimed that Britt failed to follow up with recommendations they received from Cruz’s doctor after his autism diagnosis two years ago in regard to school.
Jax insisted in his email that he was the one who “looked into things” regarding their son’s education, which he says is the only reason that Cruz started attending preschool.
The former Bravo star also slammed Brittany for publicly “preaching” early intervention without enrolling Cruz in programs—some of which, Jax claimed, California provides for free. (Brittany denied all Jax’s claims.)
Jax is asking a judge to order Brittany to stay at least 100 yards away from him, stop contacting him, and quit interfering in his business deals.
Brittany has yet to comment publicly on Jax’s request for a restraining order. However, shortly after the news of Jax’s restraining order request broke, Britt made a telling post to Instagram Stories.
“A narcissist is going to tantrum no matter what you do. So, you might as well start making choices and decisions that work for you, and let them tantrum.”

UPDATE! A judge has granted Jax the temporary restraining order, according to Us Weekly. The order will remain in place at least until September 24, which is the date of the estranged pair’s next court date.

Are these jobs in The room with us right now Jax? Or was this a job like when you got “hired” to manage the social media for the Panthers?
I’m not sure how popular Brittany is but I doubt she could blast anyone publicly and it truly matters. If Jax is losing business opportunities it is his own fault. He is a drug addict, pathological liar and apparently he likes to hit women. Jax is his own worst enemy. I do think that Brittany has an issue with alcohol but for Jax of all people to call it out? Pot meet kettle.
Revenge TROs aren’t looked at kindly, Jax.
