The (short) marriage of ‘Mama June: Family Crisis’ stars Jessica Shannon and Shyann McCant is officially over, just one month after Jessica’s mom Mama June Shannon exposed Shyann’s extramarital affair!

Jessica announced on social media on Thursday that she was officially granted a divorce from Shyann, her wife of less than a year. Court documents obtained by The Ashley confirm that a judge signed off on granting the pair a “total divorce.” 

“[Jessica] and [Shyann] in the future shall be held and considered as separate and distinct persons altogether unconnected by any nuptial union or civil contract whatsoever and both shall have the right to remarry,” the Final Judgement and Decree of Divorce states.

The judge has ordered both to be “restrained and enjoined from molesting or harassing the other party.”

As part of the settlement agreement that Jessica and Shyann filed with the court last month, neither will be pay alimony. In addition, they declared that they had no outstanding joint debt and no martial property that needed to be split up.

Jessica had requested to have her maiden name restored, something the judge granted on Thursday. (Jessica had taken Shyann’s last name after marriage.) 

As The Ashley previously reported, Jessica and Shyann were married on September 21, 2025. (Jessica and Shyann were already legally hitched when they had their wedding for the ‘Mama June: Family Crisis‘ cameras in October 2025.) As for what grounds Jessica had for divorce, she listed that the “marriage is irretrievably broken and there is no hope of reconciliation.”

Shyann was served with the divorce complaint on July 24 and did not contest the divorce.

Both Jessica and Shyann took to social media to acknowledge the end of their short marriage. Jessica’s post seemed to reflect on how the marriage changed her.

“As this chapter of my life comes to an end, I can honestly say I have lived, I have learned, and I have grown,” Jessica wrote. “I’m not going to say it was the worst time of my life, because it wasn’t. There were definitely things I could have changed and done differently, but in the end, I know that if I had never lived through it, I wouldn’t be the woman I am today.”

Jessica— who posted a photo of her holding the divorce documents outside the courthouse— also expressed how thankful she is to still have a relationship with Shyann’s niece, Harper, whom they were both raising together.

“Through this chapter, I met so many amazing people and built relationships I wouldn’t trade for anything,” Jessica wrote. “Most importantly, I would have never met my sweet Harpie. That little girl has shown me how to live, laugh, love, and how someone so little can make the biggest impact on your life. No matter what chapter we’re in, I will always be her best friend and be there for her until the very end…”

Shyann’s post was a bit less, um, sentimental, with her celebrating that she’s now “free.” (For some reason she also used Jessica’s photo from outside the courthouse for her own post.)

“Well… the judge said I’m officially somebody else’s problem now. 😂” Shyann captioned her post. “No hard feelings, no looking back, just grateful for the lessons, the growth, and the person I’ve become through it all. Here’s to closing that chapter and finally feeling FREE. P.S yes this is Jessie‘s picture.”

Fans were less-than-thrilled with Shyann posting that she was now “free,” considering she admitted to cheating on Jessica just one month ago. 

“You’ve always been free if you were already seeing other people and doing what you want, the difference is now you don’t have to feel guilty about it,” one person wrote in the comment section of Shyann’s post.

“EXCUSE ME!!! Aren’t you the one that cheated? Lmao,” another person commented.

As The Ashley previously reported, Jessica and Shyann announced their split just days after their wedding episode aired. (It was also revealed during that episode that Shyann and Jessica had a threesome with Jessica’s ex-brother-in-law, Josh Efird…who just so happened to officiate their wedding.)

Although they maintained that they wanted to remain friends despite their split, things got messy when Mama June decided to expose the true reason for the girls’ breakup. While Live on TikTok in July, Mama June spilled the tea that Shyann cheated on Jessica with another woman. She also called out the woman, who is/was also married. Less than an hour after June accused Shyann of being a cheater (and exposed her lady lover), Shyann made her own post and confessed that she had, indeed, been cheating on Jessica.

However, Shyann insisted that she had wanted a divorce for a while.

“Since June has made it everyone’s business, I’ll go ahead and address it,” Shyann wrote on Facebook. “I’m not going to make excuses for what I have done. What hasn’t been shared is that I had been asking Jessie for a divorce for months because I wasn’t happy. I expressed how I felt repeatedly, including that issues involving her mother were a big reason I wanted out.

“Nothing changed, and despite asking for a divorce more than once, it wasn’t happening,” Shyann continued. “That doesn’t make what I did right, and I take full responsibility for my actions. But relationships are rarely as simple as they appear from the outside, and there was a lot more going on than people know.”

Jessica, however, stayed silent for a few days, before finally posting her side of the story. In a surprisingly mature statement, Jessica wrote that she doesn’t care that Shyann is dating the other woman, and that she only wants to ensure that she still can maintain her relationship with Harper.

 “Yes, I knew… Do I care? Honestly, no. Was the way everything happened crazy? Sure. Was I hurt at first? Absolutely. But that’s in the past,” Jessica wrote on social media. “At the end of the day, all I want is for everyone to be happy,” she continued. “I’m cool with both of them because the only thing that truly matters to me is that little girl [Harper]. As long as she’s happy, loved, well taken care of and I get to watch her grow into an amazing young woman, that’s all I care about. 

“So yes, I knew. No, I don’t care. And no, I don’t care about anyone else’s opinions either. My focus will always be on that little girl and making sure she has the best life possible.”
