It’s out with the old co-host and in with the new for Jinger Duggar Vuolo.
On Wednesday, the former ‘Counting On’ star announced that her and husband Jeremy Vuolo’s podcast– blandly aptly named ‘The Jinger & Jeremy Podcast’– was getting a new name and a new co-host– Jinger’s younger sister Joy Duggar Forsyth.
In a video posted to the now-former ‘Jinger & Jeremy Podcast’ Instagram page on Wednesday, Jinger spoke to listeners from a newly remodeled podcast studio where she was joined by Joy instead of Jeremy.
“We have been having some pretty life-altering conversations on the phone, like, literally life-altering,” Jinger told fans. “ … We’re starting the Call Your Sister podcast.”
Jinger went on to explain that she and Joy will be “rebranding” what was her and Jeremy’s podcast into a new “sisters’ podcast.” (This news comes amid Joy stepping in as co-host on multiple episodes of Jeremy and Jinger’s podcast in recent months, where the sisters have openly discussed the legal scandals involving their brothers Josh and Joseph Duggar.)
According to Joy, Jinger came up with the idea for the two of them to team up for their own podcast during one of their regular phone conversations. However, in true Duggar fashion, the sisters insisted that Jeremy was the one who really got the ball rolling.

“And so, anyway, conversations had just happened from there,” Joy said. “It’s been a while of just talking, planning, figuring out logistics, but it’s happening. Here we are.”
While fans on social media have often criticized Jeremy’s habit of speaking over and interrupting Jinger on their podcast, Jinger still took a moment during Wednesday’s episode to explain why Jeremy had been “kicked out” as co-host.
“ … he’s just in a very busy season of life [and] working a full-time job,” she said. “He’s also, like, trying to finish up his Doctor of Ministry degree and also starting a Bible study… since he’s in such a busy season, he’s going to be the producer of this podcast and help us out a little bit … .

“And he’s such a good producer, let me just say,” Jinger continued. “I had so many fun conversations with him, like, on our podcast, but Jer was always the mastermind behind things, so he’s very creative. He’s just able to think outside the box, and so I’m thankful that he’s gonna just keep still being a part of this podcast, even though he’s not sitting in the chair.”
As the premiere episode went on, Jinger and Joy told listeners that their podcast format is inspired by the weekly calls and frequent text conversations they have, with both stressing the importance of having a sister to whom they can talk.
“You guys are gonna get a little glimpse into that, but this just gives us an excuse to have an hour every week to just catch up, talk about life,” Joy said.
The official podcast description for ‘Call Your Sister with Joy & Jinger’ also cites the “late-night talks” that Joy and Jinger have had throughout their lives, noting that their podcast will be a way for the two to pick up where these chats “always left off.”
“Marriage, motherhood, faith, growing up in a house full of siblings, and the stuff you’d only ever say out loud to a sister– this is real talk between two sisters, no script and no filter,” the description continues. “Jinger Vuolo and Joy Forsyth let you in on the conversations that usually happen behind closed doors.”
New episodes of the ‘Call Your Sister with Joy & Jinger’ podcast drop on Wednesdays.
