Itâs out with the old co-host and in with the new for Jinger Duggar Vuolo.
On Wednesday, the former âCounting Onâ star announced that her and husband Jeremy Vuoloâs podcastâ blandly aptly named âThe Jinger & Jeremy Podcastââ was getting a new name and a new co-hostâ Jingerâs younger sister Joy Duggar Forsyth.
In a video posted to the now-former âJinger & Jeremy Podcastâ Instagram page on Wednesday, Jinger spoke to listeners from a newly remodeled podcast studio where she was joined by Joy instead of Jeremy.
âWe have been having some pretty life-altering conversations on the phone, like, literally life-altering,â Jinger told fans. â ⊠Weâre starting the Call Your Sister podcast.â
Jinger went on to explain that she and Joy will be ârebrandingâ what was her and Jeremyâs podcast into a new âsistersâ podcast.â (This news comes amid Joy stepping in as co-host on multiple episodes of Jeremy and Jingerâs podcast in recent months, where the sisters have openly discussed the legal scandals involving their brothers Josh and Joseph Duggar.)
According to Joy, Jinger came up with the idea for the two of them to team up for their own podcast during one of their regular phone conversations. However, in true Duggar fashion, the sisters insisted that Jeremy was the one who really got the ball rolling.
âAnd so, anyway, conversations had just happened from there,â Joy said. âItâs been a while of just talking, planning, figuring out logistics, but itâs happening. Here we are.â
While fans on social media have often criticized Jeremyâs habit of speaking over and interrupting Jinger on their podcast, Jinger still took a moment during Wednesdayâs episode to explain why Jeremy had been âkicked outâ as co-host.
â ⊠heâs just in a very busy season of life [and] working a full-time job,â she said. âHeâs also, like, trying to finish up his Doctor of Ministry degree and also starting a Bible study… since heâs in such a busy season, heâs going to be the producer of this podcast and help us out a little bit ⊠.
âAnd heâs such a good producer, let me just say,â Jinger continued. âI had so many fun conversations with him, like, on our podcast, but Jer was always the mastermind behind things, so heâs very creative. Heâs just able to think outside the box, and so Iâm thankful that heâs gonna just keep still being a part of this podcast, even though heâs not sitting in the chair.â
As the premiere episode went on, Jinger and Joy told listeners that their podcast format is inspired by the weekly calls and frequent text conversations they have, with both stressing the importance of having a sister to whom they can talk.
âYou guys are gonna get a little glimpse into that, but this just gives us an excuse to have an hour every week to just catch up, talk about life,â Joy said.
The official podcast description for âCall Your Sister with Joy & Jingerâ also cites the âlate-night talksâ that Joy and Jinger have had throughout their lives, noting that their podcast will be a way for the two to pick up where these chats âalways left off.â
âMarriage, motherhood, faith, growing up in a house full of siblings, and the stuff youâd only ever say out loud to a sisterâ this is real talk between two sisters, no script and no filter,â the description continues. âJinger Vuolo and Joy Forsyth let you in on the conversations that usually happen behind closed doors.â

Iâd much prefer listening to Joy over Jeremy. He comes off as so fake/insincere.
While Joy doesnât have much of a filter and is a bit naive, her revelations are sometimes a shocking window into how Jim Bob and Michelle failed their children.
The showering story for example – I guess it shouldn’t be shocking, since so many children lived under one roof, but the parents should have ensured their children were bathing regularly.
Jill has also discussed the kids having to wait a long time to use the toilet in the old house. One of the first Discovery documentaries showed this as well.
Joy is ever evolving (though she still sometimes makes stupid choices). It will be interesting to watch. Iâm glad itâs Jinger influencing her and not Michelle or Anna.
To be honest, if they knew they want so many kids (or even when they decided for that), they should have made an expansion of the house with more bathrooms, rooms and overall more space for the kids. Didn’t Jana share a room with the youngest ones at some point? I know they were into controlling their kids a lot but a teen DEF deserved her privacy!
I guarantee the type of conversations they have “behind closed doors” is NOTHING like conversations us normal people engage in…..
How do you know? Of course sisters are going to talk about their true feelings and secrets.
