Get ready for pandemonium in the Palmetto State– ‘Southern Charm’ is back!
This week, Bravo dropped the Season 12 premiere date and trailer, with the latter giving viewers a first look at all the chaos in store for our favorite Charlestonites.
The trailer for the new season kicks off with Whitney Sudler-Smith addressing the group about an alleged “love child,” of which one of the cast members claims to have a photo.

“There’s an elephant in the room which we kind of need to address,” Whitney says. “The assumption is that one of you has a love child.”
While the trailer certainly begins on a dramatic note, it manages to end in an even more dramatic fashion, as Molly O’Connell is seen literally sprinting through a house after Salley Carson, while calling her a “dumb f**king whore.” (Spoiler alert: Madison LeCroy prevents the two ladies from coming to blows by locking herself and Salley inside of a bedroom.)

Making a (seemingly less dramatic) return in the new season is Craig Conover, who’s preparing to release his first children’s book on bullying. Interestingly, Season 12 also promises to show Craig “cautiously reentering a friendship” with Austen Kroll, who appears to be less than supportive of Craig’s literary project in the trailer.

As for Austen, the Season 12 press release claims the Trop Hop founder is “happily friends with benefits” with Salley, however, their carefree companionship is slated to take a turn when Salley’s certain feelings change. Oh, and when Molly and Austen (seemingly) hookup.
Elsewhere, as ‘Southern Charm’ OG cast member Shep Rose commits to bettering himself in the new season, his ex-girlfriend/“the one that got away” Taylor Ann Green– who announced her exit from the Bravo series in April 2025– reemerges, putting old alliances to the test.
Taylor Ann’s return also has those close to Shep questioning his motives, with Craig in particular calling out his pal for claiming that he wants to marry his ex while still pursing other women.
“I think he’s a lost soul,” Craig says.

Also returning in Season 12 is Venita Aspen, who’s still navigating her friendship with Salley, while also introducing a new friend to the group: Charleston-based model Allie Newman. Despite being a former flame of Austen’s, fans will watch this season as Allie sparks a “hot-and-cold flirtation” with another guy in the group. The press release for Season 12 also teases that Allie’s arrival will set a motion a “series of events that will uncover one of Charleston’s most scandalous and well-kept secrets.”
Viewers can also expect to follow along in Season 12 as Molly grows her music career and Madison juggles her busy life as a mom, wife and business owner.
Rounding out the Season 12 cast are Rodrigo Reyes, Whitner Slagsvol and Charley Manley. Patricia Altschul– the Grand Dame of Charleston– will also return for the new season, where fans will watch her celebrate her milestone 85th birthday and continue throwing her lavish parties.
