Confirmed! ‘Teen Mom OG’ Renewed for Another Season

“We’re coming back!”

The Teen Mom franchise no doubt has its share of critics– from the people who claim that the reality shows glamorizes teen pregnancy, to the folks who are angry that MTV took young, unwed mothers and turned them into full-blown celebrities.

The Ashley has some bad news for the show’s critics: ‘Teen Mom’ is here to stay– at least for another season. The Ashley can exclusively confirm that ‘Teen Mom OG’ has been renewed for yet another season!

Two very good sources have confirmed to The Ashley that the show, which ended its fifth season in June, will be back for a sixth season. Although MTV has not yet officially released the announcement that the show has been renewed, The Ashley’s sources tell her that it is definitely coming back.

In fact, Farrah Abraham and her family were filming with the ‘Teen Mom’ crew over the weekend in Alaska. (Farrah was there to appear at a club.) The show’s field producer, Heather Walsh, executive producer Larry Musnik, and a film crew, as well as Farrah’s father Mike Abraham and daughter Sophia were spotted while filming on the trip.

Cameras also appeared to be rolling as Farrah, Heather and other crew members had lunch at a restaurant in Chelsea, New York, last month.

The Ashley does not know (yet) whether ‘Teen Mom OG’ star Maci Bookout will allow her kids to be a part of the new season. Last season, Maci took her son Bentley off the show after Farrah was allowed to come back. Maci has since had a baby girl named Jayde, but it is not known if she will be filmed.

The next season will likely be filmed in the same fashion as last season, with the “fourth wall” broken. However, The Ashley can not confirm this yet.

The Ashley will update when she has more info on the next season of ‘Teen Mom OG!’

  1. I’m most excited to see the dads on this season. I want to see how Gary is with Emily, and how Ryan and his parents are with Macis daughter. I hope Bentley will be returning as well.

  2. I’m happy they decided to do another season. Now that Maci has Jayde and Amber is getting married (hopefully she will reconsider) and Cate has Nova, they are all it interesting points in their lives. I have been follwing these girls lives for over 6 years and like keeping up with what they are doing. I could care less about Farrah but it’s easy enough for me to fast forward her segments.

  3. I really think it’s unhealthy for kids that big to be on reality shows :/ It’s one thing when they were toddlers, but they are elementary schoolers now…

  4. I don’t think they should do another season. I was disappointed with this season. The only drama that was shown was Farrah coming back on the show. Nothing else really happened except Tyler telling Catelynn she needs to go to the gym and Gary asking Amber if she misses his “man meat.”

  5. I don’t want to burst your bubble, but I saw Farrah filming in Austin and the crew had being Farrah stickers all over their equipment.

  6. I wonder why they’re doing another season of OG? The first season was a total snoozefest! I might just have to stick to reading the ashley’s recaps!

  7. Really? Like last season wasn’t boring enough? Like I want to see plastic farrah, a greasy old man, princess Tyler, and the human carrot again. Pass.

    1. You say “pass,” yet you obviously watched all of last season if you can say that it was boring. And I would bet that you will go ahead and watch the entire new season as well, if for no other reason than to be able to come back to websites like these and bitch and complain about how “boring” the latest season was.

        1. Actually no, I’m just saying that we all need to stop pretending that we’re so annoyed with these shows that we’re “never watching again.” Clearly we will continue to watch, and read articles about them, and comment on them. Let’s just call it like it is. These girls may annoy the hell out of us, but we still love to watch them. It gives most of us a reason to feel like our lives are somehow better than theirs and boost our egos, whether justified or not.

  8. well they can avoid getting a real job for a few more years. I bet Cate and Ty will still be talking about enrolling in college during the next season. Wonder if Amber’s creepy boyfriend will stick around?? So they will have this show when they are in their 50’s as long as people watch it. It’s a win win for everyone. the viewers can continue watching them talk about what they will be doing with their lives, and they don’t have to worry about living in the real world, it’s great for everyone!
