‘Married At First’ Sight’ Season 3 Participants to Star on New ‘Second Chances’ Show: Exclusive Details!

"We're back...but we're not getting married this time!"
“We’re back…but we’re not getting married this time!”

David Norton and Vanessa Nelson didn’t get everlasting love from appearing on the third season of Married At First Sight, but the FYI Network is giving the recent divorcees another chance at finding a spouse!

The network announced yesterday that David and Vanessa (who were married on Season 3 to Ashley Doherty and Tre Russell, respectively, but ended up getting divorces) will be starring on Married At First Sight: Second Chances, a spin-off show that gives them another chance at finding love. ‘Second Chances,’ which is being produced by Kinetic Content, is currently casting for the show.

“We watched their journey on ‘Married At First Sight,’ and know that fans are still rooting for Vanessa and David to find successful relationships,” a representative of the production company told The Ashley. “We have partnered up with FYI to give these two amazing people another path to find love. Here’s to second chances!”

The spin-off show, which will be taping this summer and into the early fall, has one major difference from the original ‘Married at First Sight’ series: No one is getting married! (That’s a good thing, of course, because nearly all of the couples who have been matched on the show have gotten divorces, and some marriages have ended horribly!)

A casting agent tells The Ashley that those wishing to date either Vanessa or David will need to live in the Atlanta area and should fill out an application here.

The Ashley will keep you posted on ‘Married At First Sight: Second Chances,’ as well as the upcoming fourth season of the original series, which premieres this summer.

  1. Sick show. Very immoral. Cheapens marriage. Hurts people. Misleads Christians into thinking formication and divorce are acceptable by having a Pastor on staff supporting this “experiment”.

  2. I think that is great. Both of them went into the marriage with there heart and the people they paired up with were not ready for love and hurt them badly. Thank you. Vanessa is my girl. She has a good heart always positive. I pray God gives her a good man.

  3. David deserves another chance! Vanessa, Seems very insecure! I would love to see Jaclyn get another chance!

  4. Most definitely David needed a do over! My question is was this also offered to the ladies on season 2?? Let’s not forget how horribly that season ended as well and how much those 3 girls also suffered. I do get the idea that the girls on season 2 might want nothing to do with FYI but as a fan it would be great to at least hear from the girls on season 2. Even Monet from season 1 deserves a new chance.

  5. i really think that david and vanessa would have been a good couple together, i think that this is a very good idea for the people that really took the experiment serious and was looking for love and companionship for the long term.

  6. I think this is an excellent idea for a new show. Both Vanessa and David came across as good and decent people on the previous show, and I wish them both luck in finding the right person to spend their lives beside. Marriage is hard enough, when you know each other, and date for some time before tying the knot. But to marry a complete stranger takes more courage than most, and I wish them all the best. I will be watching the show eagerly.

    1. I’m gonna have to disagree with you on this one. It doesn’t take courage to marry a complete stranger, it takes stupidity. Lots and lots of stupidity. And probably some desperation too.
