Justin and Ashley will first daughter Callie in December 2015…

Ashley Salazar, who starred alongside her fiance, Justin Lane, on a memorable Season 2 episode of 16 and Pregnant, has announced that she is pregnant with the couple’s second child!

Ashley announced the big news via her Instagram, posting a photo of her eating and Justin drinking two blue drinks, along with the caption, “Eating for Two” and “Drinking for Two.” Ashley noted in the photo caption that the color of the drinks signified that they are having a baby boy.

She also wrote that she is due January 28.

Ashley is best remembered for being one of the only girls from 16 and Pregnant to choose adoption for her child, though she struggled for years with her decision to place her daughter, Callie (now six years old), for adoption with her aunt and uncle. During Ashley’s heartbreaking episode of ’16 and Pregnant,’ Justin was not a supportive partner to Ashley and they soon broke up.

Their story, however, does have a happy ending. Ashley and Justin reconciled about three years after Callie’s birth, and have been dating ever since. The couple became engaged in October 2014, several months after Ashley suffered a miscarriage. These days, they live together in Texas and see Callie regularly.

Currently, Ashley is one of nine girls from ’16 and Pregnant’ who is still with her original baby-daddy. That’s quite a feat, considering there have been 59 girls who have starred on the show over the five seasons.

  1. Jenelle's love of her life, wait no fiancé, wait no babydaddy, wait no ex, wait no guy she calls the cops on, wait no enemy! says:

I wonder how this is going to pay out hopefull for the best.

  2. I thought she was dating someone else a while ago… after she and Justin had got back together, I thought they broke up and she was with someone new. I remember reading about it and being sad, cause I liked that she and Justin had reconciled. Maybe that was wrong or just a rumour.

  3. Barbara's Home for Abandoned children created with soulmate of the day #justlikethenotebook says:

She is legit crazy, and they both have an unhealthy relationship with Callie. Bad news!!!!

  4. It’s an amniocentesis. They take a sample of amniotic fluid with a needle in your uterus and do the genetic mapping to check for chromosome abnormalities … Which also tells you which chromosomes are present, XX or XY. It’s not a routine test, as there is a chance of miscarriage that comes along with it. I had one when the screening AFP test came back with a higher risk for Down’s Syndrome. (Baby was fine though). ?

  5. Good for her but she this chick I thought was a piece of work. I think her decision to place her daughter for adoption was wise. In my opinion I think all kids if they are a minor should have to do this. (Let’s see how many dislikes I get for this comment) But, she was very “whoa is me”. I want to keep her, wait no, wait yes, wait no. She seemed very attention grabbing but I like how her mom stood her ground and said she would cut her off if she tried to get Callie back casue “Callie was too young to have a voice”. People keep flipping out when these kids have another child when they are no longer teenagers. I am curious to see what way she is going to try her “whoa is me” attitude this time.

    1. I think that if you’re going to be negative, you should make sure you don’t open yourself up to negative comments by simply using the correct word. “Whoa is me” is a title of a song by Down With Webster and it is a clever play on words.

The word you were looking for is “woe”.

Maybe people should have to pass a spelling test before they get to be vitriolic online, eh?

      1. That was the whole point with the Whoa. Do you really have nothing better to do with your time than proof read other people’s posts? Read all of them 90% of the time people are tying so fast auto correct changes things before you notice and you can’t edit once posted. So seriously get a life.

  6. Whoa whoa whoa this article definitely does not do justice to just how crazy Ashley is. She has her daughter, whom she gave up for adoption, call her “Mommy” and frequently alludes to the fact that she’s going to take her away from her adoptive parents when she gets older.

She and Justin also have not been “dating ever since” they reconciled, they’ve had a very on/off relationship, and every time they break up they say really vicious things about the other on social media. Also, every time she gets sick, she posts that she’s really happy and hopes she throws up a lot because she wants to get skinnier.

Like, this girl is certifiable. She has or used to have a blog, google it if you want your daily dose of crazy.

    1. Not to mention she had a pretty serious drinking problem which she soaked up a lot of attention for admitting, and plastered her sobriety date all over social media. Then she got bored of the sober life and now she drinks like crazy again

    2. Great comment, I was thinking the same thing Elena. Last I heard they were broken up, so it was surprising to see another baby. I guess it’s good she waited to announce it this time after that nasty affair with the miscarriage.

      1. >_< Uh, downvoters, I felt bad for her when she miscarried, and was sad that she wasn't able to grieve in private because she announced the pregnancy so early. I wasn't talking shit, I was actually trying to say something positive about her decision to wait until the second trimester to announce this one. Jeez.

    3. oooh tell us more, I’m intrigued! I always thought something was off about this girl, but I couldn’t put my finger on what

  7. How the heck does she know she’s already having a boy? She’s literally 12 weeks pregnant! I am 10 weeks and due February 12th and I was told I can’t find out gender until my 20 week ultrasound for it to be developed enough to be considered accurate.
Even if she had a 3D ultrasound, they can’t tell until at least 14 weeks which is what I was told.

    1. She probably got a blood test like the Harmony. I found out through this when I was 11 weeks. My doctor uses it instead of ultrasounds because it is shown to be more accurate. Tests for genetic defects also, but identifies what chromosome is present in the blood.

      1. Down votes because??? It’s been around for awhile and everyone I know gets it done and it’s never been wrong.

        1. Born in 1990 and my mom had the blood test done. I think it was new-ish then (heck, ultrasounds were new-ish) but it’s definitely been around for a while.

      2. My doctor never mentioned that to me. I wonder if it’s not offered everywhere yet.. Though I do vaguely remember reading something about it but I didn’t know how early or trustworthy it was.
As someone who’s had multiple miscarriages, I feel like I’d want to wait until later to find out the gender. Just in case something were to happen. But to each her own!

    2. There are now blood tests that can be done on the mother’s blood as early as 7 weeks gestation to determine fetal gender. Fragments of the baby’s DNA seep into your bloodstream. Test is performed to check for Y chromosomes and can be done to check for other genetic disorders!

    3. There is a blood test that can detect the gender…it can be given at 10 or 11 weeks…

    4. That’s what I was wondering!! I was due 12/31 and I didn’t find out gender til mid August @ 20w, now I know they can tell a couple weeks sooner than that but that seems way early
