‘Counting On’ Stars Joy & Austin Forsyth Are Expecting Their Second Child: See Their Baby Announcement

“Did you really expect us NOT to get pregnant this year? Come on, she’s a Duggar!”

The Duggar Family keeps Counting On…and on…and on..

Joy Duggar Forsyth and her husband Austin are the latest couple from the ever-expanding clan to announce a pregnancy. On Wednesday, they confirmed on their joint Instagram account that Joy is pregnant with their second child.

The couple– who are already parents to 14-month-old Gideon– also issued an official statement to the press about Baby #2.

“Some of you have guessed, some of you had no clue… November, 2019 Baby Forsyth #2 is Due!!” they captioned a series of photos of Austin and Joy holding a sonogram photo. “Cannot wait to meet this new little one! Gideon is going to be such a great big brother!!”

“Our favorite math is addition and we are very excited to share that the Forsyth family is adding a member!” they said. “Marriage and being a mom and dad to Gideon has already far exceeded our expectations. We are looking forward to loving another little one and seeing what special dynamic he or she brings to our family. Table for 4 sounds perfect!”

Joy and Austin got hitched in May 2017 and Joy became immediately pregnant with Gideon. His birth in February 2018 was featured on an episode of ‘Counting On’ that showed Joy laboring for hours on a mattress on the floor in her home before she was rushed to the hospital for an emergency C-section.

Joy has not revealed whether she is going to try for another home birth with this new baby but, judging by her family’s baby-birthing patterns, it’s very likely.

“Someone drag out the birthin’ floor mattress!”

Naturally, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar had to weigh in on the latest baby announcement.

“The Bible is right, there is no greater JOY than seeing your children walk in truth,” Ma and Pa Duggar posted to their family website. “We have loved watching Austin and Joy build their lives together as a married couple and as parents. Their love for God, each other, Gideon, and others is genuine and inspiring. We could not be more thankful as we watch their lives unfold day by day. A new baby will bring even more joy and blessings to their lives and ours. We are on cloud nine that another grandbaby will make a debut in 2019! – JimBob and Michelle”

Of course, this is not the only grandkid the Duggars are expecting this year. Several of their married children and their spouses are expecting, including Jessa and Ben Seewald (who are expecting their third child in June); Joseph and Kendra Duggar (who are having baby number two in October); and Josh and Anna Duggar (who are expecting baby number six in November).

Joy and Austin’s baby will be Jim Bob and Michelle’s 16th grandchild.

“As per usual, we’ll manage to make this baby’s birth all about us…”

Naturally all of the baby-gestating and baby-having fun will be shown on the upcoming new season of ‘Counting On,’ although TLC has yet to announce when the new episodes will premiere.

Right after someone told Joy that she has to have a baby every year or so for the next 20 years…

  1. Off topic but why is there constant pics of jenelle in every recap posting?
I can’t fkn stand looking at this bitch.

    1. Exactly! I keep accidentally hitting the “many looks of Jenelle” video 🤮 and that shit is the last thing I want to see!

  2. I guess the Duggar family pregnancy pact is going well. I wonder who else is going to announce their pregnancy before the year is over?!

  3. Jesus Christ, poor kid. My heart really breaks for Joy. She is the only one of her siblings so far who you can tell is just miserable with her situation. Jessa wears the pants (with a skirt over the top) in her marriage, Jill is just as dense as her husband, and Jinger actually found herself a decent man. Joy is living one of the worst case scenarios that could result from her cult upbringing, and I feel so bad for her.

      1. Read a few of the Ashley’s recaps, particularly the ones during Joy’s first pregnancy.

In a nutshell, Austin seems like a really heartless guy with zero regard for his wife’s comfort or feelings. He had her doing all sorts of DIY jobs, cooking his food and fucking ice fishing, all while ill and very heavily pregnant.

She quite clearly hated being pregnant and went through a torturous and dangerous labour at home without medical assistance, to uphold her parents and husband’s own ideals. She is owned by him, and she knows it. That’s why she looks so miserable all the time, and that’s why I feel so bad for her.

  4. She is still a child herself in so many ways. I have a feeling she will spend her entire life doing exactly what she is told by her father and husband. =(

  5. Are they on welfare? I agree with the other post on here. How do they afford so many kids? The food alone would be outrageous. Is Jessa Still In the 2 bedroom house? 5 people in a 2 bedroom.

    1. Austin buys home and fixes them up for profit. They probably have decent money for their age (in addition to being on the show), but need to invest more in healthcare. Assuming all of these home births are to save money.

  6. Can’t wait for the heavily pregnant and breastfeeding a toddler camping trip! Or whatever BS Austin drags her to – enjoy JOY!

  7. ANDDDDD I just saw that the pervert and his stupid wife are having #6 in November!

  8. How do they afford medical insurance? Seriously, given that he’s self-employed, as a house flipper, he’s not on a company plan and cobra is expensive. Also, how do Ben and Jessa afford anything? Does he actually have a paying job?
They can make that much per family from TLC, can they?

  9. I’m no expert but isn’t it dangerous for the mom to have another one so soon after C-section? She isn’t even properly healed yet.

    1. They tell you to wait 12 months before getting pregnant again, so they only let it go the absolute minimum.

      1. I dunno I’m due in November and I’m almost 3 months. I don’t think she even waited 12 months.

      2. …if they even wait that long. Most fundies don’t. A lot of people don’t seem to understand that after birth, you essentially have a wound the size of a dinner plate on your uterus. It needs time to heal, hence why it’s suggested to wait at least a year. The closer together the pregnancies, the higher rates of both fetal and maternal death and severe complications. It’s playing Russian Roulette- some people are fine, but others pay dearly.
