Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent is celebrating one year of sobriety—- an accomplishment she says is the one she’s “most proud of.”
To mark the milestone, Lala shared a message on social media with her followers on Tuesday.
“The moments I have had in the past year have been a blessing that I have been present for,” she said. “I didn’t have that before.
“Today, I will celebrate my 1 year birthday because it’s exciting. It is also humbling. Because today, and every day after that, I will fight for it. But I won’t give it up for anything.”
As The Ashley told you in March, Lala said her sobriety would not keep her from being part of the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ cast, whom she said fully supported her decision. Months later, it seems that Lala still has that support.
Scheana Shay, James Kennedy, Stassi Schroeder, Brittany Cartwright, Tom Schwartz and Kristen Doute congratulated Lala, as did Katie Maloney, who posted a tribute to her co-star/SUR co-worker on Instagram.
“Happy One Year Sober!!!! So so proud of you, you are such a strong and powerful woman, I love you,” Katie captioned the photo of Lala.
Lala commented on Katie’s post, thanking her for “being such a supportive friend.”
“ … I remember in Paris I said ‘damn I’d kill for a glass of rosé right now.’ You, [Stassi] & [Brittany] all said ‘we would never let you.’ That right there showed me I have a group of keepers,” she said.
Jax Taylor commented on the post as well, noting that sobriety is “not an easy thing to do, especially in our environment.”
“You are a strong woman and I am honored to be your friend,” he added.
Lala was also showed some love from Bravo stars outside of the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ family.
“Inspiring as always,” Dorinda Medley of Real Housewives of New York City commented on Lala’s post. Southern Charm stars Kathryn Dennis and Craig Conover also congratulated Lala on her milestone.
Lala’s fiancé Randall Emmett celebrated his future wife’s big day as well, calling her his “rock and inspiration.”
Lala and Randall are set to walk down the aisle next year, according to Hollywood Life.
