Another couple from The Challenge is tying the knot!
E! News revealed on Sunday that Jenna Compono and Zach Nichols, who have dated on and off since meeting on the “Battle of the Exes 2” season in 2014, are engaged.
The site reports that Zach proposed to Jenna on Saturday night, under the Christmas tree in New York City’s Rockefeller Center.
“We went on one of our first dates there. Jenna actually showed up four hours late and the second she showed up and went to take a photo, the lights went out,” Zach told E! “So our picture was next to an unlit tree. We’ve gone to the tree every year since but we’ve gotten there much earlier since the first year!”
Jenna said that she had no idea Zach was planning to propose.
“I was so surprised and it was so sincere and sweet. I couldn’t be happier,” she told the site.
Zach posted a photo of his proposal to Instagram, joking in the caption, “Finally took Beyonce‘s advice.”
(Get it? He “put a ring on it?”)
Jenna posted her own pics from the proposal to her Instagram account, along with the caption, “I hope he knows what he’s getting himself into!… I said yes.”
Fans of ‘The Challenge’ have watched Jenna and Zach’s relationship go through ups and downs over the years. They dated from 2014 until 2016, when, while Jenna was filming “Rivals III,” Jenna discovered Zach was cheating on her. They reconciled nearly two years later, and in May 2018, announced they were officially back together.
“I always kinda knew she was the one. I just knew I wasn’t mature enough when we first met,” Zach told E! News after the engagement. “[I admire] her ability to put everyone else’s needs above her own. She’s patient with me too, very patient. And keeps my life in order.”
Zach and Jenna are not the only newly engaged ‘Challenge’ couple. In August, Jordan Wisely and Tori Deal got engaged while filming the “War of the Worlds II” season.
Tori expressed her happiness for Zach and Jenna in the comment section of Zach’s post.
“MY HEART IS MELTING!!! SO SO SO SO FULL!” Tori wrote. “I’m so happy for you both! You deserve love and happiness and EACH OTHER!”
