Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi to Host New ‘Ridiculousness’ Spin-Off ‘Messiness,’ on MTV; Will Provide Commentary on ‘Hot Mess’ Video Clips

When being a hot mess continues to pay off…

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is making her return to reality TV in a big way on not one, but two MTV shows.

Not only will Nicole be reuniting with her Jersey Shore Family Vacation roomies this season, but she’ll also be hosting a new series on MTV, aptly called Messiness, Heavy reports.

Nicole revealed her new hosting gig during a recent episode of her podcast, It’s Happening With Snooki & Joey. She described ‘Messiness’ as a spin-off to Rob Dyrdek’s Ridiculousness series. (You know… that Internet clip show that seemingly plays constantly on MTV… )

Nicole said she will soon travel to Los Angeles to start filming the show, which will premiere on MTV later this year – between two episodes of ‘Ridiculousness’ (probably).

“You guys, get ready, I’m hosting ‘Messiness,’” she said. “I’m really excited – this is the first time I’m hosting by myself … This is always what I wanted to do. We start shooting in three weeks in LA. Everything is coming forward – everything that I manifested because I always wanted to be a talk show host and eventually Oprah.”

When you pass the trainwreck torch to the next generation…

Similar to ‘Ridiculousness,’ Nicole’s ‘Messiness’ will feature a panel of critics who will join her in talking about viral clips, however, ‘Messiness’ will obviously feature more “hot mess” clips than that of ‘Ridiculousness.’ Nicole’s podcast co-host Joey described the clips as those seen on TikTok of “girls drunk falling down … it’s going to be animals – all different things.”

Plot twist: the entire show is comprised of old ‘Jersey Shore’ clips.

“It’ll be kind of like ‘Ridiculousness’ but focused around being messy and a hot mess,” Joey– who apparently auditioned for the show but didn’t get it– added.

Good thing they’ve brought in a ‘hot mess’ expert…

Nicole’s previous hosting gigs include MTV’s How Far is Tattoo Far?, which she co-hosted with Nico Tortorella, HGTV’s Beach Cabana Royale, and most recently, the Floribama Shore reunion, which she hosted alongside her Jersey Shore BFF Jenni “JWoww” Farley.

Nicole said this week that she hopes to keep ‘Messiness’ going for “a million seasons,” which means MTV viewers might finally get a break from all of those ‘Ridiculousness’ episodes.

  1. Why doesn’t MTV just throw in the towel and air nothing but an endless loop of “Ridiculousness”??? The ratings would probably improve!

  2. Is Rob Dyrdek tired? Why do they keep breaking off little subs of Ridiculousness for new shows? I mean, they all worked under that one header of Ridiculous, and Rob does the job really well, and has great chemistry with Chanel and Steelo.
The new one they started with food clips, “Deliciousness” – It’s ok, but the chemistry of the host and sidekicks is all wrong (imo), and I’m not really interested in seeing another group with Snooki to watch a bunch of “messiness”.

    Just let Rob do it.
