Former ‘Bachelor’ Colton Underwood Engaged to Boyfriend Jordan C. Brown: “Something I Never Thought Was Going to Be Possible!”

“We’re gettin’ hitched!”

Colton Underwood didn’t get engaged on The Bachelor (for now-obvious reasons), but wedding bells are finally ringing for the former star of the ABC reality franchise!

Colton announced on Monday that he is officially engaged to his boyfriend, Jordan C. Smith.

In an interview with People, the former Bachelor— who shocked fans when he came out as gay in April 2021— stated that he never dreamed he would one day be in this place.

“I’m extremely happy! 2021 was the most transformative year of my life,” he said. “Starting 2022 off with my best friend, teammate and now fiancé is something I never thought was going to be possible.”

Colton began dating Jordan in the summer of 2021, and they bought a house together in January. Colton’s journey of coming out was documented on the Netflix reality show Coming Out Colton. In December, Colton told People that he is overjoyed with his new life.

“I was struggling with my sexuality but I had such a level of fear over being gay,” he told the magazine. “Now that I’ve been out to myself for a year, it’s the healthiest and happiest I’ve ever felt. And there is nothing I would ever want to be but gay.”

Colton announced his engagement news on Instagram, captioning a photo of him and Jordan with, “Life is going to be fun with you.”

Jordan also shared the engagement news, posting a photo of Colton popping open a bottle of champagne, along with the caption, “The only time in my life I’m ok with wasting a bottle of champagne. I love you babe.”

Colton told People that the proposal happened while he and Jordan were on vacation in Big Sur in California.

“After my birthday, Jordan and I went to Big Sur for a weekend getaway to decompress and relax in nature. I couldn’t have pictured a more beautiful place to celebrate an amazing milestone in my life and relationship,” he said.

Colton and Jordan have yet to reveal when they plan to get married.
