‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star Tom Sandoval Says He’s One Month Sober: Claims He’s “Taking a Little Break” From Alcohol After Scandoval

Raise your hand if you’re trying to make “Soberval” happen…

Tom Sandoval is living the sober life.

In a video obtained by TMZ, the Vanderpump Rules star announced that he has been sober from alcohol for one month. Sandoval revealed his sobriety milestone last week during a performance with his cover band, Tom Sandoval and the Most Extras.

“It’s been one month since I’ve had my last drink of alcohol,” Sandoval told the crowd at The Space at Westbury on Long Island, New York. “I’m just taking a little break for a second.”

“Don’t worry, guys…I’ll NEVER take a little break from busting out this bad boy.”

Sandoval went on to tell the crowd that he had recently traded booze for Heineken 0.0–– a non-alcoholic beer that his ‘VPR’ co-star Lala Kent has touted in the past, as she has been sober since 2018.

In addition to being involved with TomTom Restaurant and Bar in West Hollywood and Schwartz & Sandy’s Lounge, Sandoval and his business partner/BFF/partner in the Scandoval cover-up, Tom Schwartz, have their own whiskey, Tom’s Good Lovin.

The news of Sandoval’s seemingly temporary sobriety comes just two months after it was revealed that the 40-year-old bar owner had a months-long affair with co-star Raquel Leviss behind the back of his longtime girlfriend, Ariana Madix. (As fans know, Sandoval and Ariana released their own cocktail book in 2019, toting their love of alcohol even in the book’s title: Fancy AF Cocktails Drink Recipes from a Couple of Professional Drinkers.)

Both Sandoval and Raquel issued public apologizes to Ariana after their affair was revealed, with Sandoval admitting he “was selfish, and made reckless decisions that hurt somebody I love.”

“Cool, Tom. Go tell it to one of your fans. Oh, wait…

“I am beyond sad that it ended the way it did,” he said in part. “The choices I made hurt so many people. I acted in a way that clashes with who I am and how I want to be.”

Tom has stated in interviews since the Scandoval broke that he is doing his best to improve himself, which may be the reason behind his alcohol sabbatical.

“I will continue to reflect and work on myself,” he said in a statement released after the Scandoval. “I have work to do. I always have, and I always will.”

  1. Let me know when you get to a year and tell us everything you’ve learned from this, maybe then someone will be impressed..it doesn’t undo the damage you’ve done. Take this next year to learn from the mistake and make amends to those you’ve harmed (if they’re willing to listen.

One recovering alcoholic to another. I’ll be 3 years sober come July. I’ve been trying to get sober since 2017, eith a lot of hard lessons.

One month sober is a very huge deal, however, I just think it’s more to boost his ego and sales at his restaurant, not about true recovery. If alcohol was the issue, that’s what you’d be focus on Tom

  2. Too bad he can’t take a break from being a complete douchecanoe.

With his break from alcohol, he is proving that his rotten and unapologetic behavior is how he acts while SOBER lol. He has basically been acting like “Hey, my ex who I lied to, and cheated on for over 8 months with one of her best friends, has been seen out and about with other guys, so all is good right?”.

Fuck off Tom. It turns out that Jax wasn’t the #1 asshole of the group after all, you were.
