Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his wife Lauren are fist-pumping with joy!

The Jersey Shore couple welcomed their third child on Wednesday, March 6. Mike and Lauren— who are already parents to two-year-old son Romeo and one-year-old daughter Mia Bella— revealed the happy news in a joint Instagram post on Thursday.

“Gym Tan Situation Family of 5!!” they captioned a photo of themselves with the new baby, a daughter they named Luna Lucia.

“We are overjoyed to announce the newest member of our growing Italian family. Luna Lucia Sorrentino born March 6th 2024 at 3:49pm weighing in at 5 pounds 6 ounces and 18.25 inches in length. 3 under 3 will be quite the situation but we wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Lauren and Mike announced in September that Lauren was expecting Baby No. 3, just nine months after she gave birth to Mia. 

”Good things come in threes,” they wrote on Instagram. “Adding another pumpkin to our patch. Baby #3 coming March 2024.”

Mike told E! News in 2022 that he and Lauren hoped to have three kids.

“I always wanted to have about three children but after having my first, I was definitely a little worried,” he said. “Are me and my wife going to be able to handle that? But once my wife was pregnant, we were so excited. We’re so excited that the babies are going to be close in age.”

Mike’s ‘Jersey Shore’ castmates appear to be very excited for the latest addition to the next generation of ‘Shore’ roomies.

“Full house!” wrote DJ Pauly D. “Congrats Mike And Lauren’s!”

“Let’s go 3 club!” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi— who has three kids herself— wrote. “So so happy for you both!”

“Anotha one!” joked Vinny Guadagnino.

Baby Luna may not be the last Baby Situation. In an interview with TooFab last month, Mike said that both he and Lauren aren’t sure they’re done having kids.

“I asked my wife, I said, ‘Can we leave the door open for baby number four, just in case?'” Mike told the site, jokingly adding, “Because Elon Musk, he said that by having children, you are saving the planet. And I feel that I’m saving the planet.”

Lauren– who gave birth to Luna via a planned C-section— decided against getting her tubes tied.

“She’s leaving the door open,” Mike said, adding “So [she’s] telling me there’s a chance!”Mike did state that he and Lauren plan on “taking a break” from trying for more babies, given that they had three kids “back to back to back.” 

Baby Luna is the 12th kid to be born to the ‘Jersey Shore’ cast. In addition to Mike’s three and Snooki’s three (Lorenzo, Giovanna and Angelo), Jenni “Jwoww” Farley has two kids (daughter Meilani and son Greyson), Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has one daughter (Ariana), Deanna Cortese has two sons (CJ and Cameron), and Pauly has a daughter, Amabella.
