Amber Portwood once again partook in what’s becoming one of her favorite hobbies (aside for lounging on her LazyBoy, naturally): bashing Gary Shirley on TikTok Live.
The Teen Mom star was blasting her baby daddy— whom she shares 16-year-old daughter Leah with— early Monday morning while doing a Live with creator Mr. Hoodz. As fans are aware, Leah is currently estranged from Amber and Gary recently revealed on the show that Amber only saw Leah four times in the last year. (Amber has pointed the finger at Gary for this, stating that he told her not to come over to see Leah.)
On Monday, Amber slammed Gary, claiming money corrupted him and has made him a “pawn” for ‘Teen Mom.’
“Gary is a f**king pawn in a f**king show!” Amber— who, mind you, has starred on the exact same show for 15+ years– stated. “…he’s never even had a job. I’m the only one that’s had a f**king job here, y’all. Like, I’m done!”
The ‘Teen Mom’ star insisted she’s “working right now” but didn’t disclose how.
(The Ashley would like to interject here that, despite what Amber is claiming, Gary has, indeed, had jobs. During the early seasons of ‘Teen Mom,’ he was working as a Certified Nursing Assistant. He now owns several properties that he rents out for a profit.)
Amber infamously ripped Gary apart during a TikTok Live on Christmas Eve, accusing him of raping her and being a bad dad (among other things.) Last month, Amber hit TikTok Live again, this time to accuse Gary of blackmailing her and lying about her.
During Monday’s Live, Amber explained how her views on Gary have changed over the years.
“He was a person— I thought– who wanted to do good by me because of what our past was. And I thought he wasn’t going to push the envelope [with me] because of some things in the past, if he was smart of enough,” Amber said. (FYI– she’s likely referring to this.)
“…It’s like a good guy turning bad because of money,” Amber continued. “And it makes me want to cry, because I had a relationship with Gary for, what, like 20 years?” she said, agreeing with Mr. Hoodz when he said that Amber got Gary “paid” for having a child with her.
Amber then slammed Gary’s parenting.
“He’s not a full-time dad! Kristina’s a full-time dad,” Amber stated.
During previous Lives, Amber has stated that Gary “begged” her to return to filming for Teen Mom: The Next Chapter after she took a short hiatus.
“Guys, I left the show twice and was completely broke,” Amber said in February. “I knew I wasn’t going to have the money…I came back, yes, but… I was begged by [Gary], a person who said they needed the money. I’m gonna take care of my f**king daughter. What would you guys do?
“…I came back for my daughter, just to have [Gary] lie on me on everything, after I did [the show again] just so [Gary and Kristina] weren’t losing their s**t,” Amber said at the time. “I feel so defeated, knowing how much I sacrificed my privacy…I’m so sad that people think of me the way they do, and it’s all because of one man– just one man!— who lied out of his f**king teeth. Just one, that’s all it took.”
On Monday, Amber bashed fans who support Gary.
“If you guys keep saying [I’m] a delusional narcissist, you need to send that s**t to Gary!” she said. “Don’t send that to me. Y’all are really, like, on Gary’s d**k so f**king hard it’s ridiculous.”
Amber then told the fans who are #TeamGary that they shouldn’t be following her on social media and instead should be giving their views to Gary. (She also managed to slip in a humble brag about how many people watch her Lives.)
“If that’s the case, y’all need to go over there [to his social media]. Why are you watching me?” she said. “Because this morning, I had 7,000 people watching me! So, if y’all ride him so hard, then go give him the 7,000 [views]. Go give him all of that bulls**t. Because I don’t want it! I don’t care.”
After Amber’s Live, she was banned from TikTok Live for an undetermined amount of time. However, she quickly FaceTimed Mr. Hoodz and held court on his TikTok Live later on Monday.

Gary has yet to respond publicly to Amber’s latest accusations.

In Season 1 Episode 3 Amber literally says “Gary pays the bills” so how can he pay the bills if he’s never had a job Amber? She wants try to throw Gary under the bus yet most of it not all of the men she’s ever dated didn’t have jobs.
What she fails to realise is that every time she goes on one of these anti-Gary rants, she just pushes Leah further away.
Isn’t Ambie too busy with Purdue to work a job?

And yet, you refuse to let Kristina have the much deserved title of “mom”, by adopting her officially because it would be further evidence you haven’t raised Leah, but Gary (Or Kristina, apparently) has. The title of “mom” is the only thing tying you to her- at least that is what you think. We all know you are just her bio mom, Leah’s bully and that’s pretty much it
Remember when we all use to blame Matt if we only knew then what we know now? LOL
Amber and Gary are toxic together. Gary knows just how to get a rise out of amber- she’s just not mentally stable to take it.
He is a stable parent, he tries to stay off social media commenting but watching the show stirs it all up for Amber. If there was no teenmom filming amber would have checked out and nothing would have held her accountable as a parent. Filming every 6th months has got to be so unhealthy for her. It would be better for her just to fall out of contact.
These kids are teens now. I wish they weren’t on the show anymore to protect their privacy. All of these kids already have so many people feeling like they know them and their lives. People feel entitled to comment about them and it’s got to be hard with peers.

First of all, incorrect, he has had jobs, and he even went to the police academy. More jobs than Amber has ever held. How do you not have a job yourself and attempt to insult someone else who actually HAS had jobs?
Second of all, if he makes enough money from Teen Mom to not hold a typical job, who cares?! I would do the same! As long as he pays his bills, who cares if the money comes from a 9-5 or from Teen Mom? He’s Leah’s PARENT, and has filmed for what, 16 years now? He deserves the money. And good for him if it lets him stay home to be a PARENT to Leah. Not to mention, isn’t Kristina a nurse or something? I’m sure they cover their bills just fine and anyone who doesn’t live in their household can mind their own business.

Fourth of all – Gary was Leah’s PARENT. Unlike you. So how about not criticizing him, since he is the ONLY reason Leah grew up to be a normal, healthy young woman. I don’t even want to think about what would’ve happened if she only had you.
Exactly! Also – have you seen Garys impressive gardening? He puts a lot of work in growing tomatoes, cabbages, onions, peppers and stuff, and producing – and from my understanding also actually selling – both fresh vegetables and homemade cookings. He is an active parent and a productive member of society, doing good and making positive moves. Not living on the couch and ranting on TikTok, like some.
And bought Leah a car for her birthday!

Aw I like Gary. I always liked Gary but I especially like Gary with Kristina. Gary was never perfect, of course, nobody is. A good woman like Kristina can help a man really grow up and better himself. Plus she has always loved and accepted Leah. Leah and Gary are blessed to have Kristina. I wish Amber would find God and choose healing.

I think Amber should have to pay her child support for another year or to. And take that money and pay for the adoption or college.
I think some of these women would of been better off if MTV had never contacted them for 16 and Pregnant. It’s kinda like they say that some lottery wins regret winning because it brings a lot of unintended consequences. I suspect MTV wants this sinking show to run until the kids all turn 18yrs old.

I agree. Having all of the money hasn’t helped any of these women to become contributing members of society. If anything, they are encouraged to continue to act like 14 year old children and to continue to have kids that they do not parent and for whom they are terrible role models

Yes, Amber, Kristina is a full-time parent to Leah, the same as Gary, because you aren’t and have never been. Kristina probably does take on more parental responsibilities because that’s just what a mother does. I wouldn’t expect Amber to know that, though.
What job has Amber ever had besides sitting on a couch on TV or sitting on a couch online? Because, Gary has had several jobs throughout the years and I’m pretty sure Kristina is a nurse. The Shirleys will be fine when the show ends because they’ve made proper money moves. Amber needs the show and the drama because she can never be a functioning member of society.

He is was sort of a volunteer. And as mentioned, they do own rental properties. They own a nice house, bit it’s no mansion, and we c don’t see a lot of fancy cars or vacations. I think if these shows shut down tomorrow, their life style wouldn’t change.
And they live in Indiana, lower cost of living. If you’re smart with your money, it will go far there. I believe Gary has been good with his money. I remember the episode where he was explaining to Amber how many properties he owned and rented out. I also believe that’s where Matt and Amber got the bright idea to flip homes.
Remember just a couple years ago when she was basically homeless because Andrew and the baby were living in her house, Gary let her live in one of his properties, she should be grateful.

She acts like one day they’re going to have the perfect mother-daughter relationship, but in reality every person I’ve ever known in this exact situation (minus the TV filmed evidence) either has zero relationship or a very strained one. Like, sure, there’s a relationship of some kind but it’s never close because the damage has been done already. They always go to the parent that was present when they were a child for advice and maybe go to the absent parent for money. Most of their attitudes about their absentee parent is “they only come around when they need something so I will do the same” and I can’t fault it. 😬
