Amber Portwood is doing some self-reflecting, admitting that being mean comes naturally to her.
The ‘Teen Mom’ star released a new episode of her YouTube show in which she discussed her personality, which the show’s fans know can be a little…um, hostile, at times. Amber reacted to a commenter who called her a bitch, adding that she has improved herself but still retains her natural meanness.
“I don’t like mean people because I used to be one,” Amber stated. “And once I realized my wrongs and everything. I’m 36 years old now. Like, you become a bitch. I was in a cutthroat industry. If you make it near the top, you might have to be a bitch.”

Later on in the episode, Amber again addressed the topic.
“I don’t give a f**k [what people think of me]. I used to. And I’m very mean, too,” she said. “Naturally, I’m a f**king c**t.”

“I’m the woman where, if you’re trying to have an argument or fight with me, get ready,” she added.
Amber— who infamously blasted many of her ‘Teen Mom’ co-stars on TikTok Live over the last few years— also discussed how she felt when new girls were brought onto ‘Teen Mom.’ (As fans know, Amber– along with Maci Bookout, Farrah Abraham and Catelynn Lowell— were the original ‘Teen Mom’ girls. Eventually, other girls were cast on ‘Teen Mom 2’ and ‘Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant, many of whom clashed with Amber.)

According to Amber, having the new girls come onto her ‘Teen Mom’ turf was “annoying,” but she understood that the producers needed to keep bringing in younger girls so that younger viewers would continue to watch.
“A couple of them brought in some pretty amazing stories and fresh stories that I thought was great for the younger people that were watching. So that didn’t bother me too much,” she said, adding that at first she felt like a “big sister” to some of the girls, who “looked up” to her.

What did bother The Couched One, however, was when some of those new girls started to try to take over the brand.
“We were thrown into the lions’ den, me, Maci and Cate and Farrah. It was weird seeing people coming in that thought they knew how to run what we had made,” Amber said.
As fans know, Amber has clashed with many of the ‘Teen Mom’ franchise stars including (but not limited to) Farrah, her baby daddy Gary Shirley, Jade Cline, Cheyenne Floyd and Jenelle Evans. Her most-epic showdown on TikTok Live, however, was with Ashley Jones in 2025. (Click here for a recap of that dumpster fire!)

In her new video, Amber addressed some of her spats with the other girls.
“I think some of them tried to try me, which is funny,” she said. “They still run their f**king mouths like little children and they can’t back it up with me whatsoever. I didn’t just see the same hunger in them. They didn’t have it. And there’s only a couple that I even respected.
“Did some of them even deserve to be near us on the show? F**k no!” Amber added.

Amber was quite outspoken when she “quit” ‘Teen Mom’ last year that she felt the show portrayed her to be a “villain.” She even claimed in October 2025 that her departure caused MTV to cancel the show—a statement that is simply not true.
In her new video, she elaborated on that and revealed what it would take to get her mug back on reality TV.
“If there’s respect and trust and no f**kery, maybe,” Amber said. “It depends on who gets a hold of me. Reality TV is something where it should be real. I want it to be real.”

“I saw what [the people behind the show] were doing to my family and my life and me,” she continued. “I saw how they made me out to be something that I wasn’t. [They showed] just a part of me, you know what I mean? And if somebody just sees one part of you then they don’t want to be real anymore.”
Amber added that, if she were to agree to be on another reality TV show, it would “have to be something where it’s not gonna mess with my life today.”
