New details regarding the March arrest of Alaskan Bush People star Rain Brown and her husband, Josiah Lorton, reveal that the couple allegedly stole more than $170,000 in cash, guns, wine and gold coins from a family member of Josiah, The Sun reports.
As The Ashley told you last month, the 22-year-old former reality star was arrested in Okanogan, Washington, and charged with burglary in the first degree, malicious mischief in the first degree and criminal trespassing in the second degree. (Josiah received the same charges, except for the criminal trespassing charge, which was given to Rain alone.)
Rain and Josiah remained behind bars until their April 14 court hearing, during which it was determined that probable cause was found for their cases to move forward. Rain and Josiah went on to plead not guilty to all charges against them and they are both due back in court later this month. Rain has retained an attorney for the case.
While details about the alleged incident were not revealed at the time, an investigation report obtained by The Sun has revealed that Josiah’s uncle Jason was the one who reported the alleged burglary to police on March 27. Jason told law enforcement that Josiah and Rain were on the property of his rental home, where multiple items were allegedly stolen in March.
The list of allegedly stolen items includes $75,000 in cash, $85,000 in gold coins, $8,000 in wine and champagne, a pistol valued at $2,500, a revolver valued at $650, a second pistol valued at $450 and a bong for marijuana valued at $250. Jason also noted that there was damaged glass and a broken generator on his property; he valued the alleged “vandalism” at $5,000.
Jason claimed that a neighbor of his has video footage of Josiah and Rain at the residence where the allegedly burglary occurred. He also informed police that his nephew was the only person with whom he had shared the location of the missing valuables and that he feared Josiah was only at his property to steal the items.
“Jason went on to explain that even though he does not have a positive opinion of [Rain], he believes that even she would not be capable of stealing from him unless Josiah told her about the location of said valuables,” the report stated.
As The Ashley previously told you, Rain took to social media last month seemingly proclaiming her innocence in the aftermath of her arrest.
“It hurts my heart that my rainbows would choose to believe the lies that my old manager who stole $43,000 from me and abused me instead of maybe thinking, ‘Oh no who is saying this about Rain?’ Not ‘Wow what a waste,’” she wrote. “It deeply hurts my heart.
“With all this said I hope y’all will stick around to hear my side of the story,” she continued. “God bless y’all.”
This is not the only unsavory thing that Rain and Josiah have recently been accused of. Last month, Rain’s older brother Noah called the police to ask for a welfare check on Rain and their mother, Ami, who has reportedly been living with Rain and Josiah. Noah told cops he had heard that Ami was now taking meth given to her by Josiah and Rain, and was drinking a lot.
He went on to claim that Ami, who was hospitalized in February and placed in a medically induced coma, is “deteriorating” health-wise. Noah alleged that his mother wasn’t taking her medication because Rain “is not allowing her” to do so.
He also claimed that Rain’s husband was in possession of guns, which he is allegedly not permitted to own.
Police reportedly contacted Noah on April 8 to notify him that there had been an attempt to contact Ami and that Ami “might be” with Rain and Josiah. In response, Noah claimed that Rain “struggles to keep up with taking her medication and thinks that anybody who tries to force her to take it is the devil.”
“Noah continued to explain that Josiah is known to always be armed,” the police officer wrote in the court documents. “Before concluding with Noah, Noah advised me that his mother and [Rain] refer to Josiah Lorton as the next ‘Messiah,’ which extremely worried Noah.”
Noah also accused Rain of stealing a pistol from him.
An officer attempted to do the welfare check on Ami; however, he was only able to deduce that Ami “might be” with Rain and Josiah.

I love how, with $170,000 worth of alleged theft a $250 bong is still thrown in. 😅
Meth heads!
