Jenelle Evans‘ son Jace is once again living with her in Las Vegas, after a short (and disastrous) attempt at living with his father Andrew Lewis.
On Wednesday, the fired Teen Mom star confirmed The Ashley‘s report that Jace was no longer living in Florida with his dad, despite Jenelle’s previous claims that father and son were doing great and that Jace’s transition to life with his long-lost dad was “smooth.”
In an interview with Us Weekly, Jenelle admitted that Jace is back in Vegas and living at Casa de Jenelle.
“He’s back at home with me,” she said. “He’s doing good. He has his ups and downs, like regular teenagers, but he’s going through life learning life lessons.”
As The Ashley previously told you, Jenelle sent Jace to Andrew’s home in Florida sight-unseen and didn’t personally go check out the living accommodations and situation that her 15-year-old would be staying in. Although she was assured by Andrew and his family that Andrew had “changed,” The Ashley’s source in Florida told her that was not the case and that “the situation at Andrew’s home was not good.”
“Andrew is in no way in the position to be raising a kid, especially one who barely knows him and didn’t want to be there in the first place,” the source told The Ashley last week. “Jace lasted less than two weeks with Andrew… Andrew is not mature enough to raise a child by any means.”
In her new interview, Jenelle talked about how the living arrangement for Jace bombed.
“Jace is like, ‘I want to be back home’ so Jace is home and he’s doing fine,” she said. “He’s enjoying summer at the house.”
She did state that Andrew didn’t turn out to be the stellar parent that Jace had hoped for.
“Andrew, he’s had his problems with alcohol since Jace has been a baby,” Jenelle said. “So that was the big contributing factor. Jace just really needed to see it for himself. But then I thought [Andrew] changed and he didn’t. And we found that out and Jace came back home.”
As ‘Teen Mom’ fans know, Andrew had not really had much to do with Jace (aside from sending a regular child support payment) for the majority of the boy’s life, up until last year. Father and son began communicating via text, but did not know each other very well when Jace was sent to live with Andrew. (As The Ashley previously told you, Jace did not want to go live with Andrew.)
“The time had to come where he met his dad and he did it, and he sees the true colors that I’ve been saying for years, but Jace didn’t want to believe me and my mom,” Jenelle told the magazine.
While doing the interview about Jace, Jenelle claimed that she is “trying to keep him very private.”
“Everyone’s, like, begging for that information and I keep tellin’ him, ‘I’m giving Jace his space,'” she said. “I’m not trying to put a camera in front of his face. I’m not trying to put all his business out there. His business has been out there since he’s been a baby, and he had no choice. So right now, it’s really important for him to just keep to himself.”

What is left for this kid!? Even though we HOPED and HOPED that being with his Father would FINALLY be the best decision that Jenelle made for him. Well…there’s that. I mean, from the beginning Jace has been swimming upstream, fighting a losing battle. From DAY ONE. You can go back and watch from the beginning and SEE it’s been SO BAD for him always. It’s now to the point where unless a total stranger with the means to help this kid drops from the sky, there is nothing left. Maybe, once he’s old enough there’s the military, but often times the military isn’t the best place for someone just because they’re struggling and have no other option than maybe prison? Look at Nathan. Jenelle doesn’t have the mental capacity to ever see what’s really happening and to what extent Jace needs help, so that’s just moot. There are no other family members, other than maybe Jenelle’s Sister, who are willing to try, but will that really help? I guess it’s worth a try IF Jenelle asked. What happens when he turns 18? He has no skills, what kind of student is he? He has no life skills and no guidance. Just a matter of time before it all comes to a head. 🙁

Janelle is a malignant narcissist. Anyone with even a basic understanding of this condition can see she meets every single criteria. There is no hope for Jace or any of her children as long as she is their mother. No hope!
I know. My mother is just like her. Running away from her won’t help. She has never given him the skills to be socialized. She doesn’t possess those skills herself. From the moment she showed up on Teen Mom it was obvious she was a damaged child herself. I know Babs meant well but all she ever does is Screech at people. That’s traumatic for a kid. Janelle has never been okay. She never will be okay. She’s 30 some years old and still lip syncing songs to ex-boyfriends like some love lost teenage loser. She doesn’t possess the emotional maturity to help anyone. Best case scenario he will end up in a loving foster care family. Worst case scenario will be a strung out druggie on the street, a druggie living in Babs basement, dead , or the next Mass shooter. As much as I hate it there is not going to be a happy ending to his story. It’s just never been in the cards for the poor kid!! It’s heartbreaking but the writing is clearly on the wall!
If Babs really wants to take him back, maybe he could stay with her for awhile until he finishes school or something. Idk. Poor kid.
Has anyone else ever noticed that Andrew looks like a heroine addict? Maybe that’s just how his face is. I remember the FaceTime about him wanting to do a DNA test. He looked worse then. I’ve always wondered about it though?
I think it’s absolutely insane that Jenelle would think this would work. I met my birth father when I was 21. Totally unimpressed. He was a loser. Just like Andrew. He’s also a complete stranger. I can’t imagine how uncomfortable Jace felt in that situation.

I’m sure you want Jace to “keep to himself” because you don’t want further details released. That is literally the ONLY reason you are giving him space and not divulging all of “his business”. She knows that if she outs any of HIS business, he will probably retaliate (and rightfully so) with the real story, which would show Jenelle as the witch and completely inept mother that she is. Wouldn’t want to hear details about EVERYTHING that went down. SMH

She should’ve left Jace to live on the land. It’s probably the safest and best place for him. Babs is close. But he’s not with Jenelle which will never work out. I’m sure he’s been raising himself for the past couple of years now anyway and would’ve coped fine.
I really hope Jace can beat all the odds and land in some sort of positive community that helps him navigate life, he deserves that.

But no worries Jenelle! I’m sure he’s having a wonderful summer with his mother, who clearly said to the public that it wasn’t safe for his siblings to be around him! I’m not sure how they do it on the show, but I really hope Jace has some sort of Coogan account set up for him for all the years of his life he was on the show. That way he doesn’t have to be financially dependent on his mother
I’m sorry, I don’t mean to sound harsh, but Jenelle is not looking good if you ask me. I think her OF phase likely won’t last much longer as men move on to younger and more attractive online wank mates. When she no longer has the money to keep her children for clout pieces, I think she’ll probably send them all off in a heartbeat. One to David, one to Barb, and one to Doris. The mommy dearest act will die out real fast if she no longer has money to play house. If only we could get her loser subscribers to boycott her poop hole and dirty feet photography.

Suddenly jace wanted to go and he “just needed to see for himself” about Andrew. Man she always knows how to twist things enable to make herself out to be a great mother. She’s as delusional as Amber portwood but a master manipulator (to those who don’t know any better).
Every time I think she’s sunk as low as she can go, she proves me wrong. Jace deserves so much better than her and Andrew.

What she really doesn’t want to admit is that Jace went back to NC WITH Andrew almost a week after he got to FL for a visit with his friends and Barb and they were NEVER doing “fine” or “great”. They were in NC for a few days and Jace said he didn’t want to leave. He stayed both on the land and with Barb for a bit before having to return to Vegas. (this is also why Barb stated she was having a family emergency when she got pulled over, btw, she was, because he can’t live on the land). The land isn’t inhabitable and it’s frowned upon in most states to allow teenagers to live together on land such as this (and frowned upon on most civilized society as well). When Jace said he wanted to go “home”, he didn’t mean with her, or to Vegas, he meant NC…..HOME.
She isn’t “keeping his stuff private” for his sake, she’s in deep shit with her multiple CPS cases and this whole debacle isn’t helping things any. She KNEW he was staying on the land without any supervision and did nothing about it. While she is a complete and utter waste of a human, she’s smart enough to know exactly what people would think if they knew how his “going to live with Andrew” experiment actually went. She also knows if she pulls her usual shit, she’s likely to say enough to get herself in more hot water. Hence….the recent weed business talk, because…distract, distract, distract.

Try putting these kids and yourself on a healthy diet, with exercise.
