It’s over for David Eason and his girlfriend Kenleigh Heatwole.
The fired Teen Mom 2 dad— who began dating Kenleigh shortly after being dumped by his then-wife Jenelle Evans— got the boot from Kenleigh on Thursday, resulting in a posting spree by Kenleigh, David and Jenelle regarding the breakup.
As The Ashley previously told you, David has been shacking up at Kenleigh’s home for the majority of their year-plus relationship. (Before meeting Kenleigh, the aspiring swamp rap superstar had been living on the broken-down boat that he and Jenelle purchased shortly before their split.) Jenelle and Kenleigh frequently bickered online with each other over the course of David and Kenleigh’s relationship, but on Thursday, Kenleigh blasted David, telling her followers on X that she kicked him out of her home after her randomly accused her of cheating on him.
The Ashley is going to attempt to provide a recap of the swamp shenanigans that have unfolded since then. (And before you ask The Ashley “don’t you have anything better to write about?” allow her to answer the question: No I don’t.)
Kenleigh indicated that the troubles between her and David ramped up when she came home with her hair dyed blond on Wednesday, something Kenleigh claimed David was very against her doing.
“He was pissed I was going blonde,: she wrote. “Cause it looks f**king hot and he can’t stand that.”
Kenleigh went on to state that David then accused her on cheating on him, resulting in her throwing his possessions into a shed on her property.
“David said I cheated on him but won’t show or tell me what I did. So ALL his s**t that was in my house is now in his shed,” Kenleigh wrote, hinting that there had been trouble brewing in the relationship before but that this was “the straw that broke the camel’s back.”
“Y’all were right about some s**t I am not gonna lie,” Kenleigh wrote to ‘Teen Mom’ fans who tried to warn her about dating David. “What I can’t do is let someone act like a victim in my own house when I’ve tried to help them for the past year-and-a-half. F**K THAT.”
She then directed a message to Jenelle, who had been commenting (and gloating) on her own social media about David and Kenleigh’s breakup.
“Honestly, have your ex-husband back I tried,” she wrote.
Jenelle, meanwhile, gleefully posted about her ex’s breakup online.
“Girl.. I don’t want him back he use[d] to do the same s**t to me,” she responded. “Good thing you didn’t marry him and share assets.”
(As The Ashley previously told you, Jenelle and David recently settled their divorce, with Jenelle agreeing to give her former swampy soulmate $33,450, as well as some of their land, the bulk majority of their vehicles and motorized toys and the broken-down BoaterHome.)
“Back to living on the boat,” Jenelle wrote on X.
She then hit Facebook to gloat that she was “watching the crash out in real time.” She later added in a video post, telling her fans that David and Kenleigh’s online fight is “getting juicy.”
Critics slammed Jenelle for inserting herself into someone else’s drama (considering she currently has so much of her own drama happening currently).
However, the fired ‘Teen Mom 2’ star insisted she had a reason for sticking her nose into David and Kenleigh’s business.
“Why are you even concerned with it? Go heal yourself and move on,” someone wrote to Jenelle in the comment section.
“Because I’m gathering evidence for custody court,” Jenelle replied.
(As The Ashley previously told you, Jenelle and David are set to go head-to-head in court in October regarding custody of their daughter Ensley, whom David hasn’t seen since February 2024.)
Anyway, fans began telling Kenleigh that David exhibited similar behavior with Jenelle after about a year into their relationship, with him getting jealous when she would go to the gym or do something productive. Many also seemed to be concerned that David might get physical with Kenleigh.
“I will be honest and say he’s never been violent in my presence. And I don’t think he will be, if he’s smart,” she wrote.
Kenleigh also denied that she would take David back, just as Jenelle did after their many social media squabbles and breakups.
“I am a huge lover girl but once I am done, I’m DONE. I’ve always been that way,” she wrote on X.
Kenleigh deleted all photos of David off her Instagram, and David took to his own social media to wallow.
“My life literally goes exactly how I expected it to every time,” he wrote. “Nothing surprises me anymore.”
Kenleigh then updated fans to let them know that David was not happy to find his stuff stuffed into his shed on Kenleigh’s land, resulting in him throwing a full-on motorcycle man-trum in her front yard. In a photo posted to social media, David can be seen aggressively doing burnouts on Kenleigh’s street…as you do.
David has few options for living accommodations if Kenleigh has kicked him out. He currently owns some property next to The Land (aka the home and property in North Carolina he and Jenelle shared until Jenelle was awarded it in the divorce). On that property, he has a shed where he could shack up, although it is not really suitable for living.

In a recent TikTok video posted by David of him and Kenleigh visiting his shed— pre-breakup— the shed can be seen piled high with junk, including a tower of boxes containing Jenelle’s failed eyebrow kits from 2019.
David’s other option for living is the broken-down boat.
Unfortunately for Kenleigh, though, she may have some trouble legally making David leave her home. In North Carolina, David is likely considered a “tenant” after living at Kenleigh’s for so long, and Kenleigh will have to go through a formal eviction process via the court if David refuses to leave her home.

Oh yeah, he and Jenelle are going to be neighbors back on the LAND. As far as I can see, Kenleigh is just collateral damage which she is now learning the ugly way. Better now than down the line after being legally married with kids! Jenelle saying she gathering evidence for court? REALLY??? Like her escapades the ENTIRE LAST YEAR aren’t “evidence” for David?? All that’s happening here is a break-up, not some crazed domestic dispute that needs calls to the police every other night. Kenleigh dodged a HUGE bullet, good for her. Move on and enjoy your life, swamp free! The REAL show will start in the next 6 months when Douche man moves to his shed and uses up his money fixing it up and being the best neighbor EVER to the lady of the LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND.
Kenleigh is stupid for getting with him and defending him, but at least she had the sense not to procreate with him or put anything in his name, and she kicked him to the curb when he started acting David-y. That’s something, at least. Meanwhile Jenelle was still standing up for him while he was choking her son and has an 83.7% chance of getting back together with him even now.

Now that Jace is back in North Carolina, I’d be nervous of his running into David at some point. With David on a rampage, he’ll probably go over to “The Land” and stir up some kind of destructive shit, and hopefully Jace doesn’t try and confront him. Jesus, David and Jenelle are an absolute pair of narcissistic, mentally disturbed freaks that have no business being anywhere near children, let alone having custody of any! And does David seriously think any court will grant him custody of Ensley, with his history? It’s bad enough that Jenelle will have custody. No peace for these poor kids.
The Land, and home, are vacant. Jace hasn’t lived there since shortly after the separation. Jenelle has been living in Las Vegas and Jace just recently moved back in with Barbara.
There would be zero chance of David running into Jace on the Land. He still has court pending for the assault, so it would be in David’s best interest to stay away from Jace. I believe there is still an active restraining order as well.
To second (steal) what someone else posted the other day, this is the hard-hitting journalism that keeps me coming back! And the ridiculous antics that brighten my day a bit. Less depressing than the news (at least most of the time).
I didn’t even watch teen mom, and besides a short stint working for the discovery network(nothing exciting tho) I’m mostly here for a distraction from the news. Came for a Bravo linked story and enjoyed the writing so been sticking around.

I absolutely think this too. We know that David has been trying to contact Jenelle for a while if her cryptic posts are true. A few weeks ago she said something to the affect that “he wants me back but it’s too late” and then earlier in the week she posted “He wants me back”. People thought she was talking about Auggie but now it’s pretty clear. And I think David will make his way to Vegas, convince Jenelle to give it one more try and she’ll follow him back to NC. She’ll say it makes financial sense because she has to pay the mortgage on the land so she might as well live there and save the rent. Or she’ll say that Ensley misses her father or some such stuff. She’s so desperate for a man and no one else is interested.

They say that Las Vegas is the type of city that will destroy you if you have addiction issues. I don’t think Janelle gambles but she probably enjoys the recreational weed and 24/7 clubs that never stop serving alcohol.
100% true as someone who knows the city quite well. I’ve seen people with addiction and/or mental health issues try Vegas, but wind up getting chewed up and spit out by the city. I immediately figured that would happen to Janelle when she moved there.
Parts of the metro area offer a nice quality of life, but it is not the place for those who cannot control their impulses. Temptation around every corner, and not just with gambling. It’s stimulation overload for some, and all the partying can drain one’s bank account. It’s called Sin City for a reason.
It amuses me that Vegas\NV and Utah are adjacent. There are also a lot of Mormons in the area, and I wonder how many sneak down there without their stakes knowing.

Mormons actually have a huge drug problem In Utah. A lot of opioid addiction. Some think it’s partially caused by the intense pressure for perfectionism. I didn’t know anything about it until I watched a documentary about it a few years ago. I mean, it’s not really that surprising. Too much pressure can make anyone “snap.” It’s not ok to use, but I can see why it happens.
