Season 6 of Seeking Sister Wife premieres next week with one of the show’s returning stars coming out of the gate with a wild perspective on women who’ve had five or more sexual partners.
In Us Weekly’s sneak peek from Monday’s episode, viewers see Garrick Merrifield and his wife Dannielle talk about the courting experience they had with their newest partner, Lorrana, and how Lorrana’s past was something they seemingly had to make peace with before allowing the courtship to “really mature.”
“We kind of hashed out a lot of deep, heartfelt, serious questions that [Dannielle] and her [as well as] me and her [had], especially because I knew she had a past and she had some men treat her really bad,” Garrick says.
The aspiring polygamist then proceeds to rattle off findings from an unidentified study about women who have had five or more sexual partners, while not bothering to cite where he obtained said information.
“They found that after women, usually [after having sex with] around five men, that they just can’t, like, bond anymore,” Garrick claims.
When a (rightfully confused) producer asks Garrick to expound on this steaming hot take, Garrick doubles down.
“After a woman has, like, five different partners, the chances of her bonding or even having a lasting relationship drops, like, [a] crazy amount,” he states. “Like, just percentage wise, like, it’s just the sperm being inside of her [that] changes the person.”
Garrick tells viewers that because of this, um, unique perspective, he and Dannielle decided to meet up with Lorrana in Jamaica about five months after they began talking to her, even bringing their infant daughter along for the screening process vacation.
According to the Merrifields, the Jamaica vacation went so well that they decided to wrap up the trip by having Garrick baptize Lorrana “for the remission of her sins,” after which, Garrick proposed.

“After being together with her for five days, all of us, I was like, ‘You know, I feel really good about her. God wants her to be my wife,’” Garrick recalls. “That’s when I asked her and she said yes. I’m very thankful for that.”
As viewers saw in the trailer for the upcoming season, Dannielle will continue to struggle with her emotions in Season 6 over the idea of sharing her husband with another woman, although she insists that she’s “happy for them.”
“It just makes me feel less tied to Garrick,” she says while wiping away tears. “I don’t know why.”
As fans of ‘Seeking Sister Wife’ know, despite Garrick and Dannielle being unable to find lasting love with past pairings Roberta and Nathalia– both Brazilian– the two decided to give plural marriage another shot with Lorrana, who is also Brazilian. In Season 6, viewers will follow along as Lorrana arrives to the United States (via K1 visa) and Garrick and Dannielle try to lock things down with their latest love interest within just 90 days.

GARRICK JUST FUCKING DIVORCE HER ALREADY. I am not surprised by GarrICK’s dumbass bullshit he continues to spew, he is a certified piece of shit, I am surprised that idiot Danielle, continues to believe him. She needs help. He’s manipulating her by saying “god” is saying it all, why isn’t “god” talking to Danielle too if she’s part of this big plan? The had a daughter. When Danielle was getting jealous over Roberta, she got pregnant. It’s been several years. She is not an infant, she is a toddler.
So he now has four wives lol. But only who lives with him. Because he said Roberta and Nathalia were ‘wives’ not girlfriends. He isn’t totally wrong that the more sexual partner you have the higher your odds of getting divorced are but it doesn’t have anything to do with sperm in your brain. And he is super gross having sex with these women before they are solidly in his family living with him.
