Another day, another restraining order filed against David Eason.
The Ashley can exclusively reveal that the fired Teen Mom 2 dad was served a Domestic Violence Protective Order on Thursday, which was filed by his now ex-girlfriend Kenleigh Heatwole. According to court records obtained by The Ashley, Kenleigh went before a North Carolina judge on Monday to obtain the restraining order against David, explaining that he had been verbally abusing her, as well as showing up to her home at odd hours of the night to disturb her peace and sleep, and more since their breakup.
As The Ashley previously reported, Kenleigh— who began dating David shortly after he was dumped by his wife Jenelle Evans— broke up with David last month. David had been shacking up at Kenleigh’s home for the majority of their year-plus relationship, which put her in a difficult spot when she tried to kick him out of her home. (David responded to her putting all of his stuff into her shed by motorcycling like a maniac in front of her home…as you do.)
The judge approved the protective order until October 6, which is when Kenleigh and David will have to go to court to see if the judge will extend the order, and if so, how long.
David will be showing his mug several times next week at the courthouse, as he has a scheduled custody hearing on Monday to battle Jenelle over custody of their daughter, Ensley.
As ‘Teen Mom’ fans are aware, this is not the only active protective order against David in the state of North Carolina. Jenelle currently has one out on him that forbids her former swampy soulmate from contacting her. That protective order is in effect until at least December 2026.
In addition, there is currently a protective order against David for Jenelle’s eldest son Jace. David is facing some serious criminal charges for allegedly strangling his former stepson in 2023 and a restraining order has been in effect since early 2024 forbidding David from going near or contacting Jace. That protective order will stay in place likely at least until David’s trial is over in January 2026.
As for what will happen to David’s stuff, a Sherrif will likely have to escort David onto Kenleigh’s property to retrieve his things, which Kenleigh has stated is all in a shed on her land.
Kenleigh and David have not yet publicly commented on the protective order.

She would be wise to move out ASAP without David knowing where she is moving to. He is very violent, and let’s all remember he got most of the firearms in the divorce agreement from Jenelle… He’s deranged enough, I could see him doing something stupid while drunk or drugged up..killing Jenelle’s dog is just a prequel to what he may be capable of…she really should move to an unknown location for safety! She didn’t make bright decision dating him, but she doesn’t deserve violent abuse. If Jenelle has truly grown at all, she would also be wise to request the restraining order be permanent or keep continuing it going forward. David is an unstable lunatic & very loose cannon. Anything can happen when guys like him are starting to feel desperate to regain control of the girl! Wise up ladies, move to/live in an undisclosed place and never see David again. Protect yourselves. Men that have past violent tendencies WILL be violent again. No matter how sweet or how many promises they make!

Kenleigh is a naive young woman that made a dumb choice. While she obviously should have known how he is, we also need to remember that he wasn’t acting like that at all to her and he could somewhat explain away things by saying it was all lies from his crazy toxic ex. She ignored the red flags and fell into his trap. He didn’t change up until his financial situation changed once his divorce was finalized and he wasn’t reliant on Kenleigh anymore. At least she wised up quickly at that point, threw him out, and got a restraining order instead of just sitting at the opposite end of the house having a social media bashing war with him while waiting for things to get worse.
When I was an inexperienced early 20s naive girl, I ignored red flags and ended up married to an extremely abusive man that kept me pregnant to keep me dependent on him and was well on track to end my life. I commend her for not waiting until she’s eight months pregnant with a third baby and he’s counting down the days until delivery and telling her that he can kill her after that. She got out before any permanent damage was one, all she lost was some money, a year of her life, and a little pride. But she hopefully gained experience and wisdom.
Moral to the story – If the entire world tells you not to date someone, and they have been accused of child abuse and shot a dog on tv…don’t date them?
I don’t think this has much with being young, she just isn’t bright and was in denial because a “famous” guy was trying to woo her.
I hope she learns from this. The people warning her about David weren’t just haters they were trying to legit warn her and protect her from exactly this.
Good, he is a psycho. The mother of his son also has a restraining order/protective order against him as well – and he’s not allowed around their son.
You are right I forgot! Olivia has a restraining order on him, Jenelle has one on him, and now Kenleigh. Absolutely wild.
And I think Jace does, too. Unless that’s part of Jenelle’s restraining order. For David to also stay away from Jace.

I have a lot of thoughts regarding Kenliegh but I’ll just say I’m glad she got out before it was too late. No woman, especially a working 20 something with her own home deserves to be dragged down by goober swamp monster.

Kenleigh does seem to be a good person and hard worker who has been smart with her money (and David clearly needed another sugar mama), though she made a stupid decision to get with David and continuously defend him. I’m also glad she got away from him before he spent even more of her money, or worse – impregnated her.
Exactly. I would avoid at all costs ending up like Mackenzie! Blinding yourself to a field of red flags only to end up alone taking sole responsibility of kids with no help and re-buying all your possessions.
Omg, you are right! She got lucky with that one. Thank God she didn’t end up pregnant with David’s kid. I wonder if she had been taking BC previously and kept it up or if she used protection or made him use protection or both, every single time? Not my business. Just curious bc he’s gotten everyone else pregnant and even though the children are wonderful, it put the moms in a bad position bc David uses kids against people and/or doesn’t pay a penny to help with the expenses.
Sorry, but it’s her own fault. We all watched teen mom and saw David get fired and the level of abuse this monster had been causing. So Shes crazy too. It’s funny how abusers only abuse, women and children, never a man his own size or smaller-I really hope at some point they lock his ugly sick ass up. How much does it take?

Its not victim blaming, its stupidity blaming. She knew what she was getting when she signed up. She isn’t special and she cant change him. Everyone told her and she could even see it for herself but she willingly ignored every single person who tried to warn her. Its hard to have sympathy for someone like her. She created the mess, let her lay in it.
I’ve learned that in this country, people who are violent, and/or commit multiple crimes, even when many are petty crimes, get let out on bail/bond over & over again, and while they’re out, they end up eventually committing more serious crimes; such as sexual & physical assaults and even murder. These people need behind bars for good. Before they take away our loved ones or harm them so badly they’re never the same. When they show these violent tendencies and when they repeat their crimes, they won’t get better when we continue to simply let them out of jail, every time. They’re criminals and their crimes will escalate. People like David and Nathan need harsher punishments.
Thank goodness she took precaution to protect herself. And shame on David! This woman really gave him every opportunity to turn his life around and once again, he chose the sasquatch life. I think she was too good for him and he had to go and prove that he will always be Jenelle level type of man.

I truly am confused as to how Uncle Bad Touch gets multiple women that put up with his shit, knows of his past of child abusing and animal killing and still got online when they were together and went hard for him. Jenelle and Kenleigh fought back and forth the whole time with Kenleigh swearing up and down that David wasn’t a bad guy. Jenelle is dumb as a box of rocks. I don’t know much about Kenleigh but I’m happy she at least wised up before she got pregnant by him.

This is the best comment here. I wrote a reply previously in this thread explaining how this usually works in this country. And these guys get out of jail over and over until they injure someone so badly, their life is forever changed for the worse, or they take a life. Things need to change.

I was also that dumb girl 15 years ago. Biggest red flag and usually one of the first? If he puts his fist through a wall while angry at you. Get. The. Fuck. Out. IMMEDIATELY. That’s only the beginning and it will get worse. He just showed you he can’t regulate his anger.
Amen. There’s a misconception that these things only happen to “stupid” women – No, this happens to young (inexperienced) women. Not all of us start out with the same set of knowledge and it’s experience, sadly, that ends up being our teacher sometimes. I think a lot of women who end up in these circumstances feel humiliated for being in them, they are stigmatized and that doesn’t help any of us. Good for Kenleigh for actually learning.
