Johnny Bananas incited some baby daddy drama with (former?) friend and Bravo star Lindsay Hubbard after alleging on a podcast that the two hooked up in 2023 and that he briefly thought Lindsay was pregnant with his child. After Lindsay caught wind that Johnny was suggesting the two had gotten busy, she denied that they did the horizontal mambo, and called him out on social media for using her to make himself relevant.
As The Ashley previously told you, The Challenge star publicly hung out with Lindsay in November 2023, just months after her surprise split from fiancé and fellow Summer House star, Carl Radke. In fact, Lindsay and Johnny’s outing happened to take place on what would’ve been Lindsay and Carl’s wedding weekend.
During a recent appearance on the Hollywood Raw podcast, Johnny recalled his and Lindsay’s 2023 hang sesh, after explaining to hosts Dax Holt and Adam Glyn that he and Lindsay actually met “back in the day” before Lindsay began appearing on reality TV and was still working as a publicist.
“ … we kind of lost touch, we went kind of our own direction,” he said. “I had gotten into a relationship and then I saw that she ended up becoming a cast member on ‘Summer House.’ I was super happy for her, she’s always a great time, dude.”
Johnny went on to claim that he and Lindsay “reconnected” and “rekindled” after “things went sideways” with her and Carl. When pressed for more information on this alleged rekindling, Johnny suggested that he and Lindsay hooked up around this time and that at one point, he thought she may have been pregnant with his child.
“ … the timeline of when the rekindling took place … the timeline made it real scary for me when a few months later it’s like, ‘Oh yeah, Lindsay Hubbard is pregnant,’” Johnny said.
While the MTV star did go on to admit that the “timeline really couldn’t work,” he also maintained that he briefly believed it was a possibility that he and Lindsay had conceived a child.
“ … I was like, damn it, I wish I would have grabbed one of those condoms from the sound guy now,” Johnny said, before adding, “There’s no way her kid’s mine. Could you imagine?”
As you may remember, Lindsay announced in July 2024 that she was expecting a child with her “boyfriend”– a man from her past whom she had recently started seeing again.
Lindsay’s mystery man was later revealed to be Tucker Kufe, a doctor who reportedly works in biotech investing. The couple went on to welcome daughter Gemma in December 2024; Lindsay and Turner have since ended their relationship, but continue to co-parent their daughter.
After catching wind of the comments Johnny made about her on the podcast, Lindsay took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday to set the record– and Johnny– straight, claiming that her daughter couldn’t be his, as she and Johnny never slept together in the first place.
“Dear [Johnny], in case you never had the birds and bees talk, you actually have to have sex to get pregnant, and last I checked, we never hooked up,” she wrote. “Get your relevancy from someone else. And let me be clear, my baby is way too cute to be a bananas baby!”
To the surprise of absolutely no one, Johnny later responded to Lindsay’s statement with a comment of his own.
“Dear [Lindsay] Banana babies don’t come out cute they come out legendary… yours is safe,” he wrote.
