Another day, another Love Is Blind split.
Alexa Alfia and Brennon Lemieux, who appeared on Season 3 of the Netflix dating show, revealed this week that they are heading for divorce after four years of marriage and one child.
According to Us Weekly, Brennon was the one who filed to end the couple’s union last month, claiming in his petition that his and Alexa’s marriage had “become insupportable” due to “conflict of personalities” that prevent any “reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”
Brennon also requested to retain any assets he had prior to tying the knot with Alexa in 2021. (As ‘Love Is Blind’ fans may remember, after much discussion, Alexa and Brennon ultimately opted not to sign a prenuptial agreement before saying ‘I do.’)
While Alexa has yet to file a response to Brennon’s petition, she confirmed their split on social media this week, revealing to fans that, “after much reflection and many heartfelt conversations,” she and Brennon had made the “difficult decision” to end their marriage.
“This choice was not made lightly, and it comes with a great deal of care, respect, and appreciation of the time we’ve shared,” she posted Wednesday to Instagram. “We entered this relationship with love and optimism, and we leave it with gratitude for the experiences that shaped up and the growth we each gained along the way.”
Alexa went on to write that while her and Brennon’s marriage is coming to an end, they remain supportive of each other, devoted to their daughter, Vienna, and “committed to navigating this transition with compassion.” She concluded her post with a request for privacy, noting that Vienna remains her and Brennon’s “top priority.”
Similarly, Brennon stated in his divorce documents that he hoped he and Alexa would be able to reach a “written agreement” regarding custody and child support arrangements for their daughter.
“If such an agreement is made, [Brennon] requests that the court approve that agreement and adopt it as the Court’s order,” his filing reportedly states. “If such an agreement is not made, [Brennon] requests the court to make orders for conservatorship of, possession of, access to and support of the child.”
As The Ashley previously told you, Alexa and Brennon announced in January 2024 that they were expecting their first child after more than a year of trying to conceive. They went on to welcome their daughter Vienna that July.
The news of Alexa and Brennon split comes just months after Lydia Velez Gonzalez of Season 5 announced that she and husband Milton Johnson were getting a divorce. Earlier this summer, Colleen Reed and Matt Bolton, who appeared with Alexa and Brennon on Season 3, also announced their separation.
Despite ‘Love Is Blind’ managing to produce 14 marriages in nine seasons, only eight of those pod-dwelling pairs are currently together.
