Kail Lowry is feuding with baby daddy Chris Lopez (again) after Chris allegedly cut their son Lux’s hair without her knowledge (again)– something Chris has since defended on social media.
The former Teen Mom 2 star– who shares sons Lux and Creed with Chris, as well as five other kids by three other dads– slammed her third baby daddy’s recent actions last week on TikTok Live while refuting his claim that she was forbidding him from speaking to their sons. Kail also accused Chris on TikTok Live of having “a distorted perception of reality” and called him out for multiple things, including owing her more than $25,000 in child support.
At one point during the Live, Kail also fired off at Chris for allegedly shaving Lux’s head “against his will”– and without her knowledge– claiming that the unwanted shearing left their son in tears.
“ … he came home crying to me and said that you told him that I don’t take care of [his hair] so you shaved it,” Kail said, before pulling out a binder of “receipts” for various haircare products/maintenance she’s purchased for Lux’s hair. “ … let’s go to the hair tab right here, OK? Let’s go to the hair tab. This is a list and it’s $5,688 worth of maintenance for his locks, OK?”
According to @realityteewith.e on TikTok, Kail later reiterated in a comment that Lux “didn’t want his hair cut.”
Chris went on to respond to Kail’s haircut claims, insisting to his social media followers that when he would take Lux to get his hair done, “they”– presumably Kail & Co.– would take it out.
“So I just got to the point where it’s like, I’m not doing it no more,” Chris said. “Since you got a problem with people doing it, you take care of it. And if you can’t take care of it, it’s getting cut.”
While showing fans an old video of his son sporting long locks, Chris insisted that people needed to “relax” about Lux’s latest haircut and “go cry to someone who cares.”
“The hair thing, it’s over and done with,” he later stated. “A lot of people just wanna have something to say because this person went Live to talk down on me like that … .”
As you likely remember, this isn’t the first hair-hacking squabble Chris and Kail have gotten into regarding their son’s tresses.
Back in 2020, Kail revealed to fans that Chris had taken it upon himself to cut Lux’s hair without her knowledge or permission. The haircut– which Kail said was Lux’s first– was reportedly done by Chris with a pair of kitchen scissors, taking Lux’s waist-length locks to his shoulders.
As he did in the most-recent follicle feud, Chris defended the kitchen haircut on social media, telling followers that Kail was lucky he only cut off a few inches of their son’s hair and didn’t “scalp [Lux’s] ass.” Chris also denied at the time that the haircut in question was Lux’s first, insisting that his son’s hair had been cut more than once prior to that point, and that he was actually just cleaning up a butchered barber shop cut that Lux had received while in Kail’s care.

Chris really is ugly inside and out. This is abuse. Lux is old enough to have a say about his own hair. Kids deserve bodily autonomy too. This is an ongoing thing that Chris does where he uses the kids to piss off Kailyn. He doesn’t have 50/50 custody and doesn’t consistently pay child support. He shouldn’t be making decisions like this anyway without the primary parent’s and the child’s approval.

I disagree. If Chris was an ACTIVE father, yes. He’s nothing but a lazy bum and a mouth piece. If Javi decides to take Lincoln for a haircut, that’s acceptable. I absolutely believe Chris does these things just to piss Kail off. Using a child as a pawn to piss the other parent off is never ok.

Kail’s always bitching about something and Chris is always acting a fool in response to her. I don’t see a problem with a father getting his son’s hair cut any more than I see a problem with a mother wanting to be consulted about something like that. These two are stubborn, petulant children. Kail is a control freak who thinks she has total, absolute control over everything including the fathers of her children. Chris is a typical lazy guy who wants to live as he wants without having to compromise or answer to anyone. This is probably why he’s not working.
The other thing that strikes me is the child support issue. I don’t get it and I’m not being a jerk here, so please don’t come at me sideways. My ex never had to pay support because he refused to work and I had a decent job. At first he was ordered to pay a whopping $10/week and rarely paid that. Then, after a year or so of not getting support, I took him back to court. He cried the blues about how he doesn’t have any income and told the judge that I was working and providing full health/vision/dental coverage for my kids (only 1 was his), and the judge dismissed the child support obligation and his arrears. The rationale was that since I was working & made enough to support my kids and the father wasn’t working, I didn’t need support from him. Kail has a lot more money than Chris & I don’t think he’s even gainfully employed. Are the child support laws that much different from place to place?
