Lala Kent says the news of her upcoming podcast venture with actress Ambyr Childers caused her to receive a “legal letter” from her former fiancé, Randall Emmett, who also happens to be Ambyr’s ex-husband.
As The Ashley told you last month, Lala and Ambyr announced on social media that they were teaming up for An Unlikely Affair, a weekly podcast where the unlikely duo will reportedly “dive into the realities single mothers face, drawing from a past that once made them sworn enemies after sharing the same ex.”
As fans of Vanderpump Rules may remember, Lala and Randall got engaged in 2018, though it was later confirmed that their relationship began while Randall was still married to Ambyr– the mother of his two oldest daughters. Despite their questionable relationship timeline, Randall and Lala went on to welcome daughter Ocean in 2021.
Later that year, the couple called it quits for good, allegedly due to Randall being unfaithful. Eventually, Lala and Ambyr became friends, due to their kids being half-siblings.
During a recent appearance on Amazon Live, The Valley star called Ambyr one of her “nearest and dearest friends” and revealed that they have recorded the first two episodes of their podcast.
Lala also spoke about Randall’s reaction to the news of his baby mamas’ upcoming podcast, hinting that the controversial producer wasn’t very pumped about the partnership.
“ … I will say, I did get a legal letter from [Randall],” Lala told viewers.
While looking off-camera and seemingly laughing about the situation, Lala went on throw shade at her ex’s effort to intervene.
“It was very cute,” she said of the “legal letter” she received from Randall. “I’d like to know who wrote it. It gave me a good chuckle.”
While Lala didn’t reveal the details of Randall’s “legal letter”– or her response to it– she’s no stranger to taking him on in the courtroom. The Bravo star previously engaged in a lengthy custody battle with her pickleball-fanatic former fiancé that was finally settled in March 2025.
Ambyr has also faced her share of headache as a result of Randall’s alleged actions over the years, including in 2023 when she claimed in a restraining order request that her ex-husband was being investigated by the FBI for “suspected activities with child exploitation and pedophilia.” (Randall went on to deny the allegations against him.)
