Over the weekend, The Ashley revealed that fired Teen Mom 2 dad David Eason flew to Las Vegas from North Carolina to see his daughter, Ensley, for the first time in two years. While the purpose of David’s visit was initially to see Ensley while she was hospitalized with a respiratory infection, The Ashley can reveal that David has extended his stay in Sin City— and is spending plenty of quality time with Ensley— and his ex-wife Jenelle Evans!
After Ensley was released from the hospital, the former swampy soulmates treated her (and Jenelle’s son Kaiser) to lunch at The Cheesecake Factory, where the foursome ate together, and Jenelle and David each slugged down a drink or two.
(Fans who have been following the trainwrecky twosome for the last few years know, Jenelle and David are officially divorced, and Jenelle currently has a restraining order against David. However, because Ensley was having a “medical emergency,” their temporary custody arrangement likely allowed David to visit Ensley and be near Jenelle due to the special circumstances.)
Anyway, Jenelle and David’s reunion wasn’t just hospital visits and cocktails a la Cheesecake Factory.
In video posted by Ensley herself to her TikTok account, David can be seen driving Jenelle’s car as he raps about being on EBT and how critters chomp on his, um, giggleberries because he’s a “winner.” Jenelle is heard laughing along to David’s ingenious lyrics.
Ensley’s caption for the video reads, “Listening to my dad song.”
At one point in the video— which has since been deleted— David is seen reaching for (or near) Jenelle’s hand as he drives, and Jenelle does not pull her hand away.
As The Ashley previously told you, Jenelle and David are set to battle it out for permanent custody of Ensley as well as child support in March. They saw each other earlier this month in court, where the exes (?) mutually agreed to drop the contempt motions they had filed on each other.
Currently, Jenelle and David are both single.
David was dumped by his girlfriend Kenleigh Heatwole in September, and Jenelle has frequently bragged online that she has been single since she ended her relationship with her manager-turned-boyfriend “August Keen” in early 2025.
It is unknown how long David plans to stay in Las Vegas; however, he is required to be back in North Carolina on Monday, January 26, when a jury trial has been scheduled for his felony child abuse and assault case that stems from when he allegedly strangled Jenelle’s eldest son Jace in 2023.

Also I don’t put it past Jenelle to push Ensley into going to the hospital. She probably pushed for Ensley to be admitted to the ER just to get David there.

Was hoping Jenelle would actually make real progress, but nope!! Good goddd, I just can’t give any more attention to her, I just wanted to see some true growth- for the kid’s sakes. But no such luck. David is such an abusive POS and manipulative user, it’s literally unbelievable how low her self esteem must be to take that monster & user back. After all his abuse and deadbeat years, living off her money and all the stuff he pulled when he was with Kenleigh, is she literally that dumb & desperate to take him back? Get therapy, Jenelle! I thought she was actually starting to move in a healthy direction, but nope, it’s alwayssss the same result. Always. She always picks dysfunction & abusive men, every. single. time. Starting to think she is simply not capable of adulting by putting her kids first and truly making progress, she just can’tttt do it. The first argument she’ll call the police and say he’s in breach of his restraining order because Ensley is no longer in hospital. And they’ll be wasting more family court time.

The way my jaw stayed in place. In those texts between her and Jace where she mentioned AGAIN that he was lying about what that pig did, it was clear that she is still hung up on him. Or if it’s just her codependent personality, well it’s time to hang that up at almost 35 years old.
The two fools deserve each other but these kids deserve so much more than these “parents”.

Who else saw this coming the second that they read that he was there to supposedly “visit Ensley in the hospital” when he heard that she was there? I did the second I read that he was in the hospital with her. You know damn well that he wasn’t there to visit his kid. He was there with the sole intention of getting Jenelle to support his sorry a$$ again now that his meal ticket dumped him in September and he’s stuck back on the houseboat. Just when you think Jenelle can’t sink any lower, she does. She will be blaming Jayce for getting strangled by David again any day now while also claiming that David “has changed his ways.” Thank god Jayce is nowhere near these scumbags right now! God, they make me sick!!!!
