‘Teen Mom’ Star Leah Messer Puts Her Home Up for Sale, Four Years After Buying it with Ex-Fiance Jaylan Mobley

“It’s a great place to can stand in your power!”

For just $545,000, you can snag a big piece of Teen Mom memorabilia!

The West Virginia home owned by Leah Messer is currently up for sale. The house was prominently featured on several seasons of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, and its purchase served as a major storyline for Leah, when her then-fiancé Jaylan Mobley bought it for them to live in, seemingly without Leah’s knowledge (but with her money).

As fans will remember, Leah and Jaylan went on to split in 2022, and The Ashley‘s sources told her at the time that Leah was able to stay in the house (which only had Jaylan’s name on the title), provided she signed an non-disclosure agreement (NDA) in which she promised not discuss the reason behind their breakup, which was reportedly infidelity (with other details that have never been confirmed by Leah).

On Thursday, Leah— who now works as a real estate agent— announced that the Charleston, West Virginia, home is up for sale for $545,000. (Leah and Jaylan purchased the home in 2022 for $515,000.)

The home boasts five bedrooms and four bathrooms and is over 6,000 square feet, so there’s plenty of room to recreate your favorite Leah and Jaylan photoshoots, or practice your motivational speeches!

The house—which was built in 1994— features a formal living room, as well as a full basement that features a family room, bedroom, bathroom, game room and sauna.

“I’ll tell you what, yer gonna have to pry my sweatin’ body out of that ‘er sauna if you buy the house!”

It was first listed for sale in November, then relisted on February 11. Leah is currently listed as the real estate agent for the house. It appears that Leah and the girls(ses) have already moved out of the home. (However, The Ashley is not including the address for safety reasons.)

Despite Jaylan moving out of the home soon after he and Leah split, The Ashley can confirm that, as of press time, Jaylan remains the sole owner (on paper) of Leah’s house, which is on a double lot of property. According to West Virginia real estate assessment data, Jaylan’s name— and Jaylan’s alone— is listed as the home’s owner for the years 2023-2025, despite it being noted that he is now living at another address in a town about an hour away from Leah’s home.

“Well….in spirit….”

The topic of Leah’s name not being on the deed for the house was addressed briefly on an episode of ‘Next Chapter.’

“I was excited. I didn’t think twice about whose name was on this, whose name was on that,” Leah said during the episode. “If I really wanted to be on the loan, I could just say, ‘hey, let’s meet with an attorney and let’s handle this out.’ But I feel confident in our relationship.”

“Well that didn’t work out too well, sis…”

It is unknown if Leah and Jaylan have worked out a financial deal regarding the sale of the home, or who the money from the sale will go to.

Leah has not revealed why she has decided to sell her home. However, the Teen Mom star has been in considerable tax debt since at least 2020, and was hit with two more tax liens in 2024, adding to the heap of unpaid federal and state taxes she already had. As The Ashley previously told you, Leah was hit in September 2024 with a state tax lien for $32,913. Just two months prior, the mom of three received a federal tax lien in the amount of $32,646.

Taxwise, 2024 was a particularly rough year for Leah, as she received a huge federal tax lien in February 2024 for a whopping $163,804, as well as a state lien that same month for $31,349. Leah also owed taxes for the 2023 tax year ($31,349 to the state and $290,297 to the federal government.) All of those liens– combined with an unpaid state lien from 2020 in the amount of $9,238 and a federal lien from 2019 for $123,841— brought Leah’s tab with Uncle Sam to an eye-popping $715,437. It is unknown if those liens remain unpaid at press time.

Leah to Uncle Sam each time she gets one of his “letters” in the mail…probably.

  1. Leah is unloading the house because it’s pretty apparent that MTV canceled the TM franchises. Next to panic and put their property up for sale is going to be Tyler & Cate. Neither of them will ever find a job with their lack of education & their abundance of immaturity. I think Maci & Taylor will follow suit shortly and sell their place too. They don’t work & once the MTV checks dry up, they’re probably going to need to scale back. All that Bud Light ain’t free, y’all.

  2. Unless she won the lottery, I doubt those liens are paid off.

And really, that house was for him to flex on. She couldn’t afford it then, she had no job at the time. (MTV is not a job.)

      1. It didn’t set up her and her kids for life, so it was pretty much all for naught.

MTV was a gig. It was an income, but never a job.
