Just one month after 16 and Pregnant Season 1 star Whitney Purvis was officially charged with Aggravated Involuntary Murder and six other felonies, her baby daddy Weston Gosa has also been arrested.

Weston— who appeared with Whitney during her 2009 episode— was arrested Friday for Felony Theft by Shoplifting. The Coosa Valley News reports that Weston is accused of concealing and stealing over $500 worth of merchandise from a Georgia tractor supply store in November.

Interestingly, Whitney actually publicly accused Weston of this crime in January. In a Facebook post (that has now been deleted), Whitney reposted the Rome County Police Department’s post asking for the public’s help identifying the mystery man who broke into the tractor supply store and was caught on-camera.

“Seeing my baby daddy stealing from tractor supply and being posted online was not how I expected to start off this year,” Whitney wrote on February 2.

When people in the post’s comment section asked her if she was sure it was Weston in the photo, Whitney wrote, “Once you spend enough time with someone, you would 100% be able to tell…. I can recognize that man anywhere.”

Weston bonded out of the Floyd County Jail a few hours after his arrest. It is unknown when his next court date will be.

This is certainly not Weston’s first arrest. In 2012, he and Whitney were arrested together for criminal trespassing after they allegedly went into someone’s house and starting breaking things. (As you do…) 

In 2013, he was arrested for a drug DUI, which he pleaded guilty to. (You can peep his absolutely classic mugshot from that arrest by clicking here!)

He was also arrested several times for violating his probation, with his last arrest being in 2015. 

Whitney and Weston have had a very tumultuous relationship for literally decades. The exes share two sons—- Weston Jr. who tragically passed away last year at the age of 16— and River, who lives with Weston. After Weston Jr.’s death, Whitney accused Weston Sr. of not giving their son proper medical care. At the time of Weston Jr.’s death, Whitney did not have custody of him or his brother River, and hadn’t for years.

Whitney was reportedly late to Weston Jr.’s funeral and was denied entry by Weston Sr., something she took to social media to express her anger about.

Weston Sr. was very outspoken when Whitney was arrested last summer for felony Aggravated Involuntary Murder for allegedly distributing Tranq– a drug containing a combination of fentanyl and xylazine– to friend of hers who died in February 2025 after taking the drug. Weston told TMZ at the time that he hoped Whitney’s arrest will be the “wake-up call [she] needs” to seek help and recovery. 

Last month, Whitney was officially charged with seven felonies, including Aggravated Involuntary Murder. As The Ashley told you, Whit entered a “not guilty” plea to the charges earlier this month.
