Ryan Edwards’ Wife Amanda Conner Addresses Details of Recent Car Accident; Denies Rumors That She & Ryan Have Relapsed

“It’s all good in the Edwards’ hood!”

Amanda Conner took a break this week from peddling false eyelashes to address the recent rumors swirling online about herself and her Teen Mom star spouse Ryan Edwards, beginning with the details of the car accident she allegedly caused on February 3. During the TikTok video, Amanda also denied rumors that she and Ryan had relapsed, insisting that both she and her husband are still clean and sober.

As The Ashley exclusively revealed, Amanda was charged earlier this month for allegedly causing an accident with bodily injury. She was cited for the alleged crime but not arrested and has been ordered to appear in court next month to answer for the crash.

Before getting into the details of the incident, Amanda began by admitting that it “was [her] fault.” She then explained that the accident happened at 6:30 a.m. while she was at a stop sign in her neighborhood and her and Ryan’s daughter Presley was in the backseat of her car “whining and hollering” at the time. Amanda said that as she was reaching into the backseat to hand the one-year-old something, she began to pull away from the stop sign, which she admitted she shouldn’t have done.

Mind you, Amanda said all this while filming a TikTok video while driving

“ … I was going 3 or 4 miles per hour and so was the other lady, because we were in a neighborhood,” Amanda said. “So, I pulled out as she was going, she had the right of way and I bumped her, OK? No bodily harm, but let’s look at her [police] reports, hold on.”

As Amanda displayed the incident report in her video, she pointed out that it stated that Driver 2 (the other driver in the incident) had suffered “no bodily harm” in the accident, nor were they transported by an ambulance. Amanda claimed that the only reason she and the other driver didn’t just exchange insurance information at the scene was because the woman was in a company vehicle when Amanda hit her.

(The Ashley would like to note here that it was the court that charged Amanda with “Failure to Yield Right of Way (Bodily Injury)” and The Ashley pulled that information directly from the court records.)

“That’s the only reason the police had to be called,” Amanda claimed, before going on to show another page of the incident report, which stated that Driver 1 (aka Amanda) was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and that the officer did not suspect any alcohol or drug use.

“I’m showin’ y’all all of these dang receipts WHILE I’m drivin’, which proves in itself that I’m pretty solid behind the wheel of a car!”

Next, Amanda– who, like Ryan, struggled with addiction for years– spoke to the recent rumor that she has relapsed. As The Ashley previously reported, the relapse rumors seemingly ramped up after Amanda posted several chaotic and erratic videos to TikTok this month, including one video in which she acted particularly frantic while advertising false eyelashes.

“As for the rumor of me relapsing, that is not true,” Amanda insisted this week.

She then admitted that she had downed two bottles of wine the night before making that video, and then another drink the next day.

“Do I drink? I do drink, ok? I had stopped for minute and started back because I had fell in a deep depression for about two months and yeah … ,” Amanda stated, adding that she filmed the semi-infamous lash video after being “super depressed.”

“You don’t need to know the reason of why I was depressed, but I did have two bottles of wine,” Amanda said. “I had a bustin’ ass headache the next morning, so I drunk one more glass of wine– it’s called the hair of the dog– and I was just feelin’ myself and excited about these lashes and I wanted to show you guys.”

“Hair of the dog? Why the heck is she bringin’ you into this, Chance?”

Amanda reminded her social media followers that she works at a rehab facility and can be drug-tested at any time. She added that she also has to undergo drug tests from her “medical provider” to ensure that she does not have “any type of street substance” in her body, as it would interfere with the “mental health meds” she is prescribed.

Amanda claimed that even if she “wanted to” partake in any sort of illegal drug use, she doesn’t have “the f**king money” to do so, claiming, “If I wanted to go get a sack right now, I don’t have the money to get a sack.”

To prove her point, she produced another series of on-screen receipts showing multiple loan payments she made the previous day, totaling more than $6,000. Amanda claimed that these payments were made towards her mortgage in order to “pay it up.”

“…and for my next trick, I’m gonna file my taxes while navigatin’ rush-hour traffic.”

“I promise you, if I relapsed, that eight grand would’ve gone to the plug, not to my mortgage, I promise you that,” she said.

As for the rumor that Ryan has relapsed, specifically on “kratom,” Amanda said that is also “bulls**t.” She did, however, confirm that Ryan had recently lost his job at a tow-truck company, as did a handful of Ryan’s co-workers.

“You have to be able to be on-call 24/7 to drive a tow truck with that job that he held,” Amanda said. “We knew from the beginning that this was eventually going to come but we just hoped they would’ve missed it and they missed it for the longest [time] … .”

That “it” Amanda and Ryan were hoping Ryan’s employer would continue to miss was Ryan’s tarnished driving record and the fact that he carries SR22 insurance, which Amanda said prohibits the ‘Teen Mom’ dad from driving a tow truck, especially one that is a company vehicle.

The boss must have caught this episode of ‘Teen Mom’…

(According to the State of Tennessee’s Department of Safety & Homeland Security, SR22– sometimes referred to as SS22– is a type of insurance that is required for individuals who have had their driver’s license suspended or revoked for reasons including DUI, Reckless Endangerment by Vehicle-Felony, Vehicular Assault, among many others.)

Amanda claimed that once “corporate came in and started fact-checking everyone” at Ryan’s company, Ryan was let go, along with four other employees. Amanda said that Ryan was unemployed for only three days before finding a “damn good job” that he loves.

She went on to insist again that neither she nor Ryan have relapsed, while reiterating that she has been “going through some f**king issues” that she has to “deal with [her]self.”

“So, I hope that clears up everything … ,” she added.

  1. My god, she is such a low life.. .that nose her missing teeth…. she sounds like a man who smokes 3/4 packs a day…. WOW, Just WOW

  2. Idc what anyone says to be honest. I like her. She’s transparent, she has the receipts, she’s real, she’s straight up. Half of Y’ALL can’t say the same. Everyone in her circle including her husbands EX is in her corner. Yall just some haters with nothing better to do with your lives (we smell our own)

  3. “You guys don’t need to know why I’m depressed!!!” Lmao oh NOW she wants to pull that card?? We already know why babes, it’s because Ryan cheated and relapsed and you weren’t different after all.

  4. Hmm, I bet she was looking at her phone and rolled thru the stop sign while looking down at her best friend phone NOT handing something to her baby. Because why would you take your foot off the brake and roll while not having your eyes straight forward. But looking down to make sure the phone is posed ready for her close up and rolling thru sounds about right. Honestly we have all seen people do this stupidity.

  5. You don’t even have to be in the same room as this Tweaker to know she smells like cigarettes and dirty clothes

    1. @boom ~ agree 💯. as i said below, she truly skeeves me out.
also, IDK if there’s axe body spray for women, but if there is…she smells like that too. 😂😹

  6. Sorry but I’m going to defend Amanda a little. One, it’s honestly none of our business. She may have been dealing with some post partem. Obviously, alcohol is not the answer but there were many other options she could have chosen. They both work full time jobs, Ryan looks very healthy, that baby is always clean and happy. Give her some grace, everyone F’s up at least once.

  7. So then Amanda, you DID relapse… Drinking alcohol is considered a relapse to anyone in recovery… What are you even talking about?! I’m in recovery and regardless what your DOC is, if you ingest any form of a mind altering substance, then you have relapsed… Please go get help. And get into recovery- because there is a huge difference between sobriety and being in active recovery. It’s embarrassing and shameful for me to admit but my drinking took OFF and I become a full blown alcoholic when I was a stay at home mom with my twin toddlers. Thank GOD I had family and other support because nothing ever happened where my kids were hurt or anything but I should have NEVER been drinking whatsoever while they were in my care. You are seriously delusional if you think you have not relapsed…

    1. 100%
“I’m self-medicating with alcohol, because times are really hard.”…”I had two bottles and then had a glass in the morning, hair of the dog” … just because it’s not your drug of choice, doesn’t mean you haven’t relapsed. You are just using a different substance to cope. That’s recovery 101.

(The filming while driving… don’t get me started. She’s not on her drug of choice? great. She’s still at the minimal tipsy and cannot recognize that in the playback? Again, recovery 101. Shits not good, time to act before…ya know… ?? Drives me crazy. I do not like either of them. What they’ve done is horrible. BUT I want everyone to get clean, stay clean, whoever they are. You have the tools…come on… recognise what everyone is screaming at you matches up with what you learned in rehab… before you lose your kids again! It’s not just haters, hating you know?)

  8. I can’t get past the fact she’s driving doing all of this…no hands on the wheel, not looking at the road, bending down to mess with her phone. She does this with her child in the car too?! I can’t even listen to her words because I’m too busy thinking of who she’s going to hurt driving like that….

  9. I don’t think a mentally stable person without a relapse would have admitted the things she said and defended her car accident by filming a video/live for social media. I think it is common knowledge that you never admit to fault in an accident – even if you are at fault >.<

  10. She’s in so deep she doesn’t even realize that she is describing addict behavior as if it’s perfectly normal. Sober people do not drink two bottles of wine, drink another glass to mask a hangover, and then make manic videos because they’re feeling good.

She also acts like it was totally fine that Ryan lied about his insurance and driving history to get a job. These two are clueless.

I feel for those kids. At least Stella and Jagger don’t spend much time there, but her son and baby are stuck.

  11. … if her doctor drug tests the way mine does for prescriptions.. they aren’t random. Meaning you could use up to a the a certain amount of days before your drug test so yu can bypass it. Iwish they would randomly test me because it would be more evidence in support of me to have this anesthesiologists accusations off my medical file, but im still going to fight to have all anesthesiologists learn how people with severe complex pain handle general anesthesia differently. thos accusation prevented me from being treated properly after having 4 bones harvested from my body. My doctor who’s well known in her specialty was so pissed about this.

Not to mention. I was heavily sedated for over 10 days. So they could have easily done a hair follicle test

  12. It’s insane she thinks the perfect time to make this tiktok is while driving. Like she couldn’t pull over? And her baby is likely in the vehicle with her, that just makes me not trust a word that comes out of her mouth if she thinks this is acceptable behavior. That’s not even brushing over drinking two wine bottles, and addiction is a slippery slope.

It’s just not worth the risk of relasping, not only does alcohol worsen depression, but it is also impairs her (already terrible) judgement and it’s so easy to give in to “just one more time.” Not to mention they haven’t even been on recovery road that long. And two recovering addicts struggling.

Idk, it seems like a very precarious situation. I know not all drug addiction counselors preach total abstinence but most do. And what she is doing is not moderation at all.

  13. So she is giving us this little lecture about what a great driver she is and how it’s the road or someone else’s fault WHILE driving, playing with her phone and paying zero attention to the actual road she is driving on. She is literally driving with her knee, wearing the loosest seat belt I have ever seen and taking her hands off the wheel more than once. You want to endanger your life? Cool. It’s your life but what she is doing can kill innocent people.

As far as her drinking two bottles of wine I would say that’s probably not smart for an addict. Recovering addict or not. I also think it’s stupid to be so excited about doing a tik tok on lashes she needs to down some wine.

As far as not having money to do drugs? I’m sorry, I don’t know any rich drug addicts. Drug addicts will find a way whether it’s bartering, stealing from family and friends, shoplifting etc. If they want to do drugs they are very determined and won’t stop until they get their fix. As a former addict herself and working in a rehab she damn well knows that too.

  14. Girl, that is 100% a relapse. Just because it isn’t your drug of choice doesn’t mean it’s not a relapse. Get help. You have kids that need you.

  15. She needs to rewatch her own video so she can hear and see what the rest of us do. I don’t know much about these two but I heard there were rumors about them breaking up and she later “addressed” them claiming they were perfectly ok. My thoughts are, they may have hit a rough patch? Maybe that caused the depression? I also don’t know a lot about addiction, but I thought addicts should not be using any drugs or alcohol at all? And at one point, she said they don’t drink anymore or don’t keep alcohol in the house? I don’t believe what she’s saying about the accident because why didn’t she talk about it before and why did it take so long to address it after The Ashley brought it to our attention? Something’s out of wack with these 2. 100%.

  16. Trying to excuse the car accident you caused while LITERALLY tiktoking and driving, is a something else. Not to mention downing bottles of wine while claiming to be sober.

Get off your phone while driving, you aren’t special…

  17. I say this as a recovering addict myself, but 2 bottles of wine in a single evening and another glass the next day is relapsing. She might not be doing her previous drugs of choice from before, but she’s moved on to the next addiction. She’s not clean and she’s basically admitted it.

    1. Exactly! Fellow addict/alcoholic in recovery (almost five years, baby!) here too! I had a major surgery in December and even though my sponsor and doctor said that if I had someone giving me the pain meds exactly as prescribed, that it wouldn’t be considered a relapse, I refused to take them and just took ibuprofen because I am THAT concerned about my sobriety… Alcohol is (In my opinion) THE worst of all substances because clearly, people talk themselves into thinking that drinking isn’t a drug.

  18. If both drivers got out of the car before police arrived, there’s no proof she was actually wearing her seatbelt. Many of her videos show her not wearing one, so it’s possible she lied about it so she wouldn’t get ticketed. Usually, people who ALWAYS wear their seatbelts always wear their seatbelt.

I’m wondering if the driver of the other car later showed symptoms and that’s why the court charged Amanda. Just because someone denies treatment and injury at the time of the accident, doesn’t mean something didn’t creep up the next day after the adrenaline wore off.

  19. I have never known an individual to consume that much alcohol in a 24hr period unless they had an alcohol addiction. She had at least 3 bottles on hand if she drank 2 entire bottles the night before, then another glass the next morning. Girl, that’s not normal adult behavior. Then she talks about it like it’s no big deal. If she claims she needs alcohol (in large quantities) when she’s “depressed”, or “going through some things”, she’s only trying to make excuses, which is exactly what an addict does

    1. I’m not defending her, but I’ll admit I’ve done this and only once. I used to buy my wine at the beginning of the month so I had a few bottles on hand. My kids went to their dad’s for the week (50/50; week on/week off). I just wanted to get f*cked up that night. I drank 3 bottles by myself and chatted online and danced around my house all night. I felt like death the next day. There was no way I could’ve had another sip of wine, let alone another glass. In fact, I didn’t touch wine for months because it made me nauseous to think about. I used to buy the cheap Moscato so 2.5 glasses was a full bottle. I can’t fathom drinking that much ever again. The hangover was worse than if I’d done some shots. It took me DAYS to recover.

I didn’t have a drinking problem. Even to this day, my kids have never seen me drunk. I just liked a couple glasses of wine occasionally. Unfortunately, as I’ve gotten older, the affects were getting worse (immediate headache) and it started taking a couple days to go away. Early last year, I decided I don’t like the way it feels so I stopped drinking altogether and have no desire to drink again.

I’ve never been an addict and have always been able to stop something if I feel it’s a problem or I don’t like it. I don’t think Amanda should be using alcohol to process difficult or hard emotions. It’s best to heal with a clear head and come out on the other side. If she’s already depressed, knowing alcohol is a depressant, doesn’t make a lot of sense for someone in her shoes. It feels more irresponsible than just calling a therapist and using talk therapy to process those heavy emotions.

  20. What in the actual…Drinking when you are an addict is a no-no. She was on more than alcohol in that video and more than likely it’s meds she has prescribed which shouldn’t be combined with alcohol. That’s my guess anyways.

  21. as*hole amanda 🍑🕳️ and rhine are truly the dregs of society. (also menaces TO society, and to those who have to share the roads with them)

    1. also, she just skeeves me the eff out ~ her face tattoo(s), her hobgoblin teeth and nasty sneer, her weirdly aggressive manner, her trashy 🗑️, uneducated grammar…she’s just gross. 🤢🤮
      #sorrynotsorry
      #isaidwhatisaid

      1. I try to not dog the way people look bc that’s something they cannot immediately change & shouldn’t really matter. However! 🙂 there are PLENTY of things that Amanda can be shit-talked for. For example, why tf is she making a video WHILE FUCKING DRIVING to make sure people ‘know the truth’. Bitch we know you’re an asshole. No need to continue showing us with the video proof.
