‘The Reunion: Laguna Beach’ Set to Bring Together OG Cast of MTV Series for the First Time in 20 Years: Details on the Upcoming Special

“Remember us?!”

It’s back to the beach for the cast of MTV’s Laguna Beach, as the OGs of the reality series are gearing up for a reunion set to premiere in April on the Roku Channel.

According to Deadline, The Reunion: Laguna Beach will feature Lauren Conrad, Stephen Colletti and Kristin Cavallari (who are also executive producers on the project), as well as Lo Bosworth, Talan Torriero, Trey Phillips, Christina Shuller (Sinclair), Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith and Alex Hooser. For the first time since 2006, viewers will get to see the friends and Laguna Beach High School alums come together to reflect on the series, which premiered on MTV in 2004.

Let’s hope that the OGs are also down to reflect on some of their past fashion choices…

Lauren posted about the event Thursday on social media, while including a photo of (most of) the OGs recreating their cast photo from Season 1.

“It’s time to come clean,” she wrote. “The Reunion: Laguna Beach premieres on @therokuechannel on April 10!”

In the upcoming special, fans can expect behind-the-scenes stories from ‘Laguna Beach,’ as well as cast reactions to episodes. Naturally, the trip down memory lane will take place where it all began– Laguna Beach, California.

Inspired by Fox’s unscripted series The O.C., ‘Laguna Beach’ premiered in 2004 and aired for three seasons, giving way to spinoffs including Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County and, most notably, The Hills, which followed Lauren as she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the fashion industry. ‘The Hills’ went on to air for six seasons before ending in 2010. Some of the cast returned in 2019 for a revival of the spinoff entitled The Hills: New Beginnings, which aired for two seasons before being cancelled by the network in early 2022.

As fans of ‘Laguna Beach’ may recall, many of the OGs participated in a three-part virtual reunion back in 2020 in partnership with #GoodToVote and HeadCount in an effort to encourage people to register to vote in the 2020 presidential election; however, ‘The Reunion: Laguna Beach’ will be the first time the cast has gathered in-person for a televised reunion event.

In addition to the virtual gathering in 2020, Kristin and Stephen teamed up in 2022 for a ‘Laguna Beach’ rewatch podcast, Back to the Beach with Kristin and Stephen, and in April 2023, several stars from the reality series filmed a high-school themed promotional video for Kristin’s jewelry brand, Uncommon James.

Meanwhile, Lauren, Stephen, Trey, Dieter and other members of the Laguna Beach High School 2004 graduating class gathered in 2024 to celebrate their 20 year high school reunion.

Back in September, Kristin– who graduated from LBHS in 2005– confirmed that ‘The Reunion: Laguna Beach’ was happening, telling fans on social media that the OGs were, “Going back to the beginning!”

The following month, Kristin posed for a photo with her on-screen nemesis Lauren, assuring fans that the two had left their years-old feud in the past and joking that “everyone can put away their team Lauren and team Kristin shirts now.”
