The future of Roloff Farms– made famous by the Roloff Family of TLC’s Little People Big World– remains uncertain as Jeremy Roloff and wife Audrey have revealed that there is once again an opportunity for the Hillsboro, Oregon, property to remain in the family.
While giving fans an update on Sunday of what she and her family had been up to during the month of February, Audrey revealed that her father-in-law, Matt Roloff, informed Jeremy and the other Roloff kids that he is going to list Roloff Farms for sale again– six years after she and Jeremy allegedly attempted to purchase it for their family. Audrey reminded her social media followers that since 2020, the property has been on and off the market multiple times, during which, “a lot of healing and moving on has happened.”
“We have been busy building our own dream on the property we bought a couple years after the farm fell through,” she explained. “But after having [our son] Bode’s birthday in the barn last month, we sort of had this ‘what if’ moment. Seeing the farm with new eyes and in a completely different season of life gave us pause.
“If we wanted to sell our house and buy the farm now, we could,” Audrey continued. “It feels like God is giving us the opportunity to choose it again if we want. And we do feel conflicted.”
As The Ashley previously told you, when Matt announced in 2022 that he was listing a portion of the family’s farm– including the Roloff’s former home, notable red barn and 16 of the farm’s 109 acres– he made it clear that he wasn’t happy about selling the property, as he admitted that he wanted it to stay in the family.
Matt went on to insinuate at the time that his twin sons, Jeremy and Zach Roloff, were to blame for the property being sold, ultimately igniting a family feud that became public when Zach blasted his dad on social media in May 2022 for “manipulating the narrative” of the situation to ‘Little People Big World’ fans.
After failing to unload the property in summer 2022, Matt announced in October of that year that he was scraping the sale idea and instead, turning the 6-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom farmhouse into a short-term rental, which opened for guests in December 2022. Less than eight months later, Matt re-listed the portion of Roloff Farms for $3,395,000– a significant decrease from the initial $4 million asking price.
After being taken off the market for a period of time, Matt revealed in April of last year that the family farm was once again up for grabs– this time, for the new (and further reduced) price of $2,895,000.
Despite Audrey claiming this week that she and Jeremy may have another opportunity to buy Roloff Farms, she did not reveal whether they are actually planning to go through with the purchase, nor did she reveal if Jeremy’s siblings Zach, Jacob and Molly were offered the opportunity.
As Audrey mentioned in her February round-up post, she and Jeremy purchased a farm of their own in Oregon back in 2022. Meanwhile, Zach and wife Tori Roloff moved from Oregon in Washington in October 2021. Despite the feud that was ignited by Matt listing the farm, Tori shared on Instagram last month that she and Zach had enjoyed a pleasant visit to Roloff Farms with their children “for the first time in almost four years.”
“ … It brought me so much joy to sit and look out over this very familiar field that holds so many beautiful memories for me,” she wrote. “There has been so much hurt that’s happened at the farm, but for the first time in years I felt so happy to be able to visit and reminisce on the good times and just be thankful for what God has provided our family with.”
Matt revealed in April 2024 that his daughter Molly was enjoying a “private life” with her husband in Spokane, Washington, and that his youngest son Jacob had returned the family’s farm, where he was living and working full time with his wife and son.
According to Us Weekly, Jacob’s wife, Isabel Roloff, confirmed on TikTok last year that she and Jacob were not given any portion of Roloff Farms and that they were renting their home while continuing to work on the family’s farm.
Matt has yet to publicly announce his plans to list Roloff Farms again.
