The charges just keep coming for newly disgraced 19 Kids & Counting star Joseph Duggar— and now his wife Kendra is also being charged!
Northwest Arkansas News broke the news on Friday that Joe— who is already being held in an Arkansas jail on child molestation charges stemming from an alleged incident in Florida— just received new charges in Arkansas that are unrelated to the ones he’s facing in Florida.
The site reports that Joe is now being charged with four counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor, as well as four counts of second-degree false imprisonment.
Even more shocking is that his wife, Kendra, was also charged Friday with the exact same crimes, and had a warrant issued for her arrest.
She was booked into Washington County jail just after 5 p.m. on Friday after turning herself in.
Kendra posted bond late Friday and has been released from the jail at 6:19 p.m., but not before snapping her very first mugshot.
As Counting On fans know, Kendra and Joe share four young children. (It is not clear, though, if their kids were involved in the incident in question.)
Tontitown Police arrived at the Duggar Family home on Friday to serve a warrant for Kendra’s arrest, but she was not there. (Kendra and Joe do not live at the house, but do reside in Tontitown, near Joe’s parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.)
“[Tontitown Police Department] said this separate investigation was launched on the heels of the alleged incident in Florida,” NWA News reported. “TTPD said this remains an active and ongoing investigation; however, due to minor victims being involved, no further details will be released at this time.”
Northwest Arkansas journalist Doug Warner reported on his Facebook page that the TTPD informed him that “they discovered these alleged incidents, leading to the child endangerment and false imprisonment charges, while assisting Florida investigators on the initial case. These alleged incidents happened in Washington County.”
Several members of the Duggar Family have spoken out about Joe’s arrest earlier this week. In each statement, the family member has expressed sympathy and love to Kendra and her kids. As of press time, Jim Bob and Michelle have yet to release a statement regarding Joe’s arrest and the charges against Kendra.
Kendra– who is now 27— married Joe in September 2017. Their courtship, engagement, wedding and several of their children’s births were featured on the family’s reality show Counting On.
It appears that Kendra has a court date set for Monday, as well as one for April 29.

The way this reads to me is Joe confessed his sins against the 9 year old to Kendra and his parents. (Probably not until he knew the child had told her father about his abuse, unless this isn’t his only victim. In that case, this has been going on in their home for a while.) Kendra and Joe then implemented the elder Duggar’s ‘safeguards’ in their home. They locked their 4 children in their bedrooms at night from the outside of the rooms, with Kendra having the keys. They tried to talk their way out of trouble when the police showed up asking about the child abuse accusations in Florida, telling the cops that none of that was going on in their home because they restrict Joe’s access to the kids. They’re simultaneously ignorant and arrogant enough to not understand that locking children in a room is endangering them and false imprisonment, ergo the 8 charges they each face in Arkansas.
I must give kudos to the TTPD for their arrests on local charges. The Duggars are friends with the Huckabees and I was shocked that didn’t stop the investigation. Keep in mind when Josh got caught abusing his 4 sisters and 1 non-related little girl, Jim Bob Duggar took him to confess to friend who was an Arkansas State trooper. That officer, Joseph T. Hutchens, not only didn’t arrest Josh and start an investigation into the welfare of the children inside the Duggar home, he later went to prison for 15 years for the exact same things for which Josh Duggar was convicted. The Duggars seem to know all the right people when it comes to slipping away from the law.

His daughter, Sarah Huckabee Sanders is our current Governor and former White House press secretary. I do wish someone would search the Trump-Epstein files for the Huckabee name…)

I think these charges were because Kendra refused to allow them to talk to the kids. Anna was able to block them from talking to her kids when Josh was arrested but giving how this is a different type of case, Kendra was not. The Duggars, Caldwells and IBLP don’t like CPS either. I also don’t want to believe anything sinister until it’s been proven. I just pray that the kids are somewhere safe and are being protected.
no. Joseph is charged with the exact same thing as Kendra. meaning what they’re both being charged for took place before this week, before he was arrested.
Well, feeling bad for her lasted only 2 days. And I am afraid this is not the last Duggar related incident we will hear about. (Come to think about it, what haven’t we heard about and prob never will) Dafuq Kendra?! You married into POS family and became a POS yourself. Josh’s kids didnt get taken away by CPS after his horrendous crimes. Im assuming his kids were interviewed by cps at some point, though.
This family coaches victims to underplay their abuse and pedophilia. That first interview jill and Jessa had to do after they were outed as Josh’s victims was calculated by jimslob. All to protect pedos. This family is disgusting.

I’ve been the kid with the cops outside demanding to see me and my parents barring the way downstairs, but was older than these babies. I eventually climbed out on the sub roof(whatever the little roofs are that are just one story in a two story suburban home) out the bedroom i had access to window. I started escaping onto roofs in elementary school.
I worked in CPS and every effort is made to put the children with other family members when removed. I would think that would be the case here, rather than taking custody and placed in a non-relative emergency home or agency. But, maybe they were so ashamed and didn’t want to tell relatives what was happening and refused to cooperate.

He was just arrested the other day, so who knows if she will leave him (I’m thinking she probably won’t). Sounds like they were babysitting when this occurred, so that could be why she was hit with a child endangerment charge?

The whole family is sick as h3ll and she knew it marrying into and reproducing with him so she’s guilty of participating. I wonder if she’s charged for the way they’ve parented/punished their kids, which as sick and twisted as it may be she was taught it was acceptable OR for merely exposing their kids to him after the 2020 incident. Which makes me wonder if she knew. Either way this wasn’t on my bingo card for 2026 and I’m dying for them to release more info. Hope those kids get sent to her family, they give me the ick but not as bad as Jim Boob and Michelle
